I super love this parish church. It's so tiny and beautiful inside! We don't go to mass here but when we do Visita Iglesia, I'm always looking forward to lighting my candle here. When you see the adobe walls and that organ, you wouldn't dare not think about what's said about the history of this church. 128512

St. Joseph Church is an historic and unusual church. Opened in 1819, the church has had its share of calamities including earthquakes and typhoons. Some reconstruction has taken place. More quaint than beautiful, the church is primarily known for its bamboo organ. The organ was constructed in 1824, and has been in use ever since, albeit with some repair work. The organ has both bamboo and metal pipes, and has an interesting sound. The best time to visit St Joseph church is during The Bamboo Organ Festival sometime in February or during the Simbang Gabi in December. According to a friend of mine Mr. Garry Salvador the area becomes bright and colorful in the evening because of the lantern stalls in Plaza Quezon. This place is one of the original places where you can buy traditional and modern Christmas Lanterns. The big tree beside St Joseph church is adorned with lots of lighted lanterns during the Christmas season. And the parking area is full of stalls selling Puto Bumbong and Bibingka. Las Piñas was declared a Historical Corridor or specifically along the Diego Cera Avenue (Calle Real) by the government and all establishments must comply to build within a certain look and design that must complement with the old St Joseph Church.
