Star Plaza's Star Ocean Restaurant
AB Fernandez, Dagupan City, Pangasinan

Everyone's favorite restaurant for events. Whether it be your birthday, christening, wedding or anniversary, we know it'll be at Star Plaza! And why not since they have the best Chinese dishes in Dagupan. For decades they've been with us in our special moments! You're not a DagupeƱo if you haven't eaten here!

Our favorites:
Chinese Beef Steak
Hot Prawn Salad
Lemon Chicken
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Birthday Noodles

The best thing? You can order a dish in various sizes!
They have KTV rooms too for private groups!

Had late lunch here yesterday with my friend.

Got their Fried Shrimp in Lemon Sauce, Crispy Squid Head and Lapulapu Sisig.

This was my second time here and the food was still good.

The shrimp is awesome! Squid is also awesome. I just did not like the Lapulapu much but it was still ok.

A bit pricey but it's worth every buck.

Will definitely dine here again when I am in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

Had dinner here after our beach getaway.

Ordered Fried Shrimp in Lemon Sauce, Spicy Spare Ribs and Yangchow rice.

Food was great especially the Shrimp. Yummm!

Price is good too. Not so expensive.

Sorry no picture. My phone already died.

Unlike many seafood restaurants here in Manila, Star Ocean regularly offers the freshest catch. If you don't believe me, try going around the corner. At the back of Star Plaza, where Star Ocean resides in, is the river bank where the public market stands. And if you do wake up early in the morning, try to witness the unloading of seafood from the colorful boats.

Star Ocean has this humongous menu and I've always wondered how the chefs of this establishment are able to whip it all up by memory. It would take me almost half an hour to be able to read their menu spread. But the good thing about Star Ocean is their food. You see, they highlight the taste of their seafood. Their seafood, coming from brackish water where fresh water mixes with salt water, are delightfully sweet with a clean taste that will confirm its freshness.
Overall, the prices offered are affordable. Although, it would be best to eat at Star Ocean in groups to be able to order a variety of their seafood specials. Also, order their spinach soup. It's the best one i've tasted so far. Their service are nice and the place was designed like a typical chinese restaurant. And if you want karaoke music to go with the food. The establishment has videoke rooms available on their second floor. Parking spaces are limited at the front but they have another parking at the back.

They offer Chinese dishes that entice the senses at an affordable price, Star Chinese restaurant relives the era when China dominated Dagupan in the foods they serve. It's more than your regular i-NiHao or Siopao experience.
