And just like that the RED CUPS are back!

People can laugh about it, mock those smitten by the Starbucks Planner craze, spread articles telling everyone how to better put their money, blah blah blah... Starbucks Christmas may be overrated for some but I don't care! lol Do what makes you happy people and stop, just for one second, stop spreading hate!

Anyway... LOL

I am more than happy that the red cups are back! I get so excited with the thought of the yuletide season though I know almost everyone feels the same way. The start of the BER months do not signal this jolly season for me. It's the return of the red cups and my favorite SB Christmas drinks that always pull me back to reality that the countdown to Christmas is on! I didn't get too excited this year though to the point of lining up early in the morning because..priorities...lol BUT I made sure to drop by towards the afternoon. November 2 was the official start of the SB Christmas and for me it has become a tradition. Christmas will not be same without the excitement of collecting the stickers and the Christmas Edition SB cards!

This year, SB dressed up the usual Peppermint Mocha to make it a little bit more Christmas-sy. They call it Christmas Tree Peppermint Dark Mocha! This drink made all my peppermint mocha dreams come to life! For years I've always tried to customize my Peppermint Mocha to make the base Dark Mocha but they would not allow. I have, however, successfully tried to add Matcha powder before but didn't make any difference. Imagine my delight when Peppermint Mocha came into the world dressed up this way! Dark Mocha with peppermint, topped with green tea whipped cream and finished off with peppermint bits! Falalalala-lala-lala Though the green tea whipped cream flavor was no match for the strong peppermint mocha taste, this drink sure looked pretty! Like a Christmas tree!

Grabbed the hot version and hubby went for the frappe. He's not so much of a fan of green tea so he said he will opt for the normal whipped cream next time LOL Also noticed that the drinks got pricier this year by 10Php me thinks. Short = 160Php, Tall = 170Php, Grande = 185Php and Venti = 200Php!

Also grabbed the chance to savor another Christmas season fave - Chicken Fajita Roll! Still the same spicy savory and cheesy treat!

I must admit, they should drink up more creative juices because their Christmas SB Cards are getting boring! Their three signature cards - Christmas Tree, Snowman and Christmas Greeting need more flare, IMO.

Anyhow... who else shares the same jolly feeling of SB Christmas with me?!?

I love this branch big and spacious reminds me of the BGC branch near the football field. The parking space is also spacious. Barista were also very friendly. The 2nd flr is a great place for studying. Just be sure to bring a jacket because the aircondition is very cold. 128522

Have you tried the Tuna Wasabi Turnover of SB? For 120Php, I would say that it's really good! But then again that's just me coz I like them sushi and sashimi with lotsa wasabi!

Served warm, there was a generous heaping of tuna flakes with wasabi inside a soft flour tortilla. The wasabi wasn't too much I would say. There was just enough and it went well with the package! I also loved the crunch from the Japanese bread crumbs that this was topped with. To complete the sushi like experience, this turnover was also topped with roasted nori strips.

It's my new favorite food from Starbucks! 128536

SKIP this new drink - Iced Strawberry Red Velvet Mocha. I can't explain the flavor - it tastes bitter with a hint of strawberry and mocha (a bad flavor combination). This is the worst drink i've had at Starbucks. ☹️ Though their branch in Betterliving is reaaallly nice and chill.128076 They have free wifi for 30 minutes and additional Php20 for every 2 hours which is a good deal! 128512128077

and... THE RED CUPS ARE BACK, just like that! Woot!

Time went by so quick that I still can't believe that it's just over a month to go before Christmas! The season's hype is made more exciting when the Red Cups from Starbucks come back to life. The new Christmas drink, the comeback of the classic favorites - Peppermint Mocha & Toffee Nut Latte, the Chicken Fajita Roll, Toffee Nut Loaf, the planner craze and the Christmas Edition Cards... All may seem too shallow or overrated for some but yah know, haters gonna hate lol

According to the baristas, lines got really crazy as soon as they opened their doors yesterday. People were so eager! First 200 customers in each store will get one free sticker in their cards. But of course I didn't line up early so I didn't get the free sticker lol But that's fine. Got my Peppermint Mocha fix - iced with extra peppermint sprinkles! Oh the chocolatey taste of Christmas! Brings back happy cheers each time!

Gotta love the most wonderful time of the year!

Surprised my wife last Sunday (mother's day) with breakfast in bed which included two of her favorites bagel with butter, jam and cream cheese, and hot mocha. Bought fresh fruits and banana too!
Glad they opened this branch along Dona Soledad which is like a few minutes from home.128077128077128526

As much as possible I try to avoid starbucks just because of the hefty amounts of calories that comes with every sip. But I wanted to make an exception.

Tried the summer drink dark mocha panna cotta. Think mocha frappe with panna cotta. I was iffy about having the panna cotta in the drink but it was much better than I expected!

Something I would come back for on a hot summer day.. Which is like everyday. 128514

Team Hazelnut or Team Caramel?

Loved the Hazelnut Macchiato. Got the iced version. The toasty, nutty sweetness you'll get mixed perfectly with the bitter espresso shot. But there's a problem. I'm not sure if I'm ready to let go of my love for Caramel. Hahaha! There us nothing more satisfying than the pure sweetness of this burnt sugar mixing so well with the bitter coffee and making the iced drink extra refreshing.

Used my Feb planner coupon to get 2 for the price of one. Great great deal.

Hooray for 127775127775127775127775127775 128522

Perfect way to end the weekend - free drinks from Starbucks! Got lots of stars accumulated and they can only be redeemed until March 01.

Got my fave Iced Chai Soy + 2 scoops of Matcha and my daughter asked for her fave Dark Mocha, cream based.

At 10PM, their food display is almost empty! Crazy!

It's ME day today! Hooray!

Hubby gave me sometime today to do some online work outside of the house. I didn't want to go far and I didn't want too much hassle for him since he wanted to bring and fetch me wherever I have decided to go. So, I decided that it's best to spend the aftie in Starbucks which is near the school of my daughter. Less trouble for the husband and more planner stickers for me!! Buwahahahaha

I got their Peppermint Mocha since I wanted to get into a good mood right away. I wanted to try the Cookie Latte but then again it's not time to take chances when it comes to coffee on a busy afternoon.

Then I also tried their Chocolate Crepe Cake. Yay! So good! Imagine: layer upon layer of crepe x Belgian Chocolate Cream x cocoa powder x powdered sugar turned into cutesy stars! Surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet at all! Each fork full was a delight. Genius creation!

No Bacon Stromboli, no Tiramisu Frappe?!? What's the matter Starbucks?!?

When I finally had the chance to go out with my family for a quick snack, I decided to go to Starbucks. I've been seeing their Bacon Stromboli in my |ooloo feed and I can't help but drool each time. Then I also wanted to give their Tiramisu Frappe a second chance. To my surprise, none of these two were available 128557128557128557 What's annoying was that the barista did not even mention that the Stromboli is gone for good. So now I'm wondering if it's the same case for their Tiramisu Frappe...-anyone?!?

Anyway....I opted for their Dark Mocha Frappe instead. If you're running out of options and you want a better tasting mocha frappe, go for this one. It's richer in chocolate taste and has mocha bits too. Great! Delicious!

Then we got their Berrylicious Cheesecake. Their ever yummy New York Cheesecake made even better with berry swirls and topped with more blueberry syrup and preserves. Not too sweet, soft and a little crumbly with a thin graham crust. Great cheesecake!

Hubby also got their Longganisa and Egg Bun. Best served warm, the shredded longanissa inside with scrambled egg had the right saltiness. The longganissa didn't have a strong flavor, which I liked. The bun was soft and had a little crunchy crust because it was toasted.

As usual, great ambiance here in there Better Living branch. High ceiling and warm lighting - just lovely.

Got iced green tea latte and new york cheesecake. Too much ice as usual. I believe this is the standard for all starbucks. But it doesn't work with me being a fast drinker. As for the pastry, i do wish they got gluten-free option coz the only thing I can have is a cheesecake sans the crust and their veggies sticks and the kind bar they have by the cashier (which i love!). This one tastes okay. Not a fan of the chocolate drizzle.

Servers are real nice tho and the new place is big. Quiet too around the time I came in.

Yes yes yes, its Starbucks. Nothing much from the menu and ambiance since SB has always secured that it should be vibrant but relaxing at the same time... What made me do this review is their SUPERB service and the same time you dont need to tell them those "Secret Blends"'since they are up-to-date of what and how they are made.

So much so, SB BetterLiving is also spacious and good place to escape the HOOOOT weather this summer! Have sip of the CaptainCrunch Frappe if you're craving for something that will quench your afternoon dryness dilemma.
