Among the hidden gems in any Starbucks is the Coffee Press. When I'm with 2 to 3 coffee junkies and are intending to hang out in Starbucks, like I did earlier for a meeting, then you can consider the coffee press.

French Coffee press is an alternative process to enjoy and extract your coffee from the beans. According to purists, this allows the drinker the best way to enjoy his or her coffee since it is more accurate and all of the flavors and oil grounds are enhanced while the coffee is brewing in the press. The beans are ground and placed in the press with hot water. The longer you wait before activating the French press, the stronger the flavor. Anywhere between 1.30 and 4.00 minutes, but you may as well ask Starbucks their recommended waiting time depending on the beans you're trying.

Today we tried the Guatemalan beans, which are more chocolate or cocoa in taste profile and medium body. Not too acidic cause I take my coffee black with just Splenda to mix. Perfect profile.

The 8 "cups" that they use for the press I ordered isn't really 8 tall cups or even short cups, but rather espresso sized cups. In total, this press yields 32 Oz or close to 1 liter. Good for about 2-3 average drinkers, or 2 coffee junkies. You also have the option for the 3 cups (12 Oz or about 355mL) or 4 cups (16 Oz or almost 500mL) at an even lower price. Sweet deal.

P250 for 3 people (or the 8 cup starbucks) , rather than spend about closer to P400 of, say, 3 tall Americanos? Good deal, then. Plus you can choose what type of beans Starbucks has. (today we chose among 3 types of beans)

So live a little, try the French Press sometime soon!

P.S. This best applies to brewed or American drinkers, not for latte or frap or macchiato drinkers.
Lastly, this branch has gotten so huge! Wow, this is beside Shakey's (and I think this is the old Tia Maria's), but I don't know how they expanded to this size. Wow.

Open until 12:30 on Sundays. We love the fact that we can stay here for long hours even if we have work the next day.

We had to transfer here last night since SB SM Marikina closed at 11pm. This branch has more seating capacity with plenty of couches and even a study area for most of the students in the nearby university.

It just needs to be said: the acoustics in the ladies' restroom in Starbucks Katipunan is amazing. Sing in there whenever you go in. You might hog the restroom like me LOLOLOL.

(Also, welcome back to myself! I spent the entire March + a week in the US hahahaha)

Also, is it just me, or is the airconditioning not as cold as before? Or nasanay na ako sa SanFran weather? Wala lang.

Had my regular iced latte this afternoon at Starbucks . was impressed with the Manong Guard's efficiency in finding a comfortable seating w table arrangement for the three of us as Starbucks was quite filled up when we got there. he found us some comfortable chairs and a table which worked extremely well for our purpose of discussion and bible study .

Got an email from SB about this new Hazelnut Macchiato drink 128070 You have to show the barista the email and use your SB card to pay to have early access to this drink (Feb. 20-23)

Got the iced version and it was pretty good 128076 Much like the caramel macchiato! 9749

Shoutout to their staff and guards for being to helpful and efficient especially when it came to the parking and finding a table. Had their chicken fajita which they only have every christmas. It's one of their cheaper food items and will fill you up and make you feel warm and fuzzy the inside.

I'm not sure if I can really work at Starbucks Katip as much anymore, since it isn't as bright as I'd like it to be. Which is why I situate myself closest to the windows.

I also suddenly thought about how it was much cozier when half the store was actually a Beauty Bar. I guess I have a thing for smaller, yet brightly lit spaces.

Parking is forever a problem, but then I've been lucky lately. Mybe it's because I come at times when kids are in school. LOL

Some time ago, I took my nephew to Starbucks as a reward for him getting into the basketball varsity team for his grade in Ateneo! He loves the chocolate chip frap, and I let him discover the chocolate Belgian waffles. 127851

I was a little disappointed to discover that the free birthday cake during your birth month policy was changed! Instead, you can claim it on your birthday or 60 days thereafter. Sad face. The barista (manager, I think, since the barista at the register who I asked referred to him) who told me about it wasn't all too friendly or understanding when he informed me. Kind of ruined my visit more than the idea that I wouldn't get cake. Boo.

French Vanilla Latte

For me, it was not any different from a regular vanilla latte 128532 I may love coffee but I don't really have that discerning taste to really be able to tell if whatever's in the drink is something different from anything else I've had before. But, as a coffee lover, I can reiterate what I first said...not really anything special 128531 It was good but not really something "new".

After lunch at Jollibee with my son Latrell Joshua L we passed by Starbucks Katipunan and I remember my Starbucks card and I wanted to check thr balance and it's still have a balance below 100 pesos then I saw the pastries there and I crave, got the double Choctaw bar brownies and had it take out.

The brownies is god damn good. Their pastries are really good . Bitin ako128523
