Since I want to save as much as I can while collecting the stickers for the Starbucks 2017 planner, I always make it a point to bring a tumbler when ordering. I left my new Tokyo tumbler at home, so here's my Korea tumbler instead hahaha!

Remember, the P5 personal cup discount is qualified for the Starbucks planner sticker collection, but the free beverage by using 12 Starbucks stars from your Starbucks card isn't. 128546

So yesterday, I went to my usual coffee run at around 9:45AM and found that yet again there's a pretty long line at the branch here at The Enterprise Center. I thought, heck why not, I'll just line up.

There was a barista taking orders of the people in line already and I saw that he was giving out a new Starbucks sticker collection card in RED! With a free sticker printed on it!! Say what?!

So when it was my turn, I ordered a tall hot 1-pump white mocha americano. When the barista said, "I have a gift for you." And got the card out from his apron, I asked, "Why is there a new card?"

"Today's the start of the red cups so we also have a new card. You can simply combine this one with the black one you already have."

Okay!! Game! Free sticker, why not? Hahaha!

An added bonus to this visit, my favorite barista was the one who handled my order at the cashier. Hahaha! So yey! Smooth service! Plus he already knows my name. 128514

PS. The red cup in the photo is not my drink. It's my officemate's venti Peppermint Mocha. Hahaha! I have my own tumbler so I don't have a red cup. 128546

I wanted to try the other Teavana drinks available at Starbucks so I dropped by in the afternoon to buy a drink. I brought my new Tokyo tumbler with me so I can get the Personal Tumbler discount of Php 5. 128541 Hehehe.

Since Christmas drinks are now available and the quest to complete the planner sticker card has begun, the line here just never seems to vanish! 128549 With only 2 counters, it took a while before I was able to order and get my drink.

It must have been my unlucky day here in Starbucks because the barista who took my order and the cashier who handled my transaction were both under par with their service.

I said to the barista, "Uhm, I'd like to try the Hibiscus Tea... But wait, that's iced only right?"
She replied, "You can have it hot or iced."
So I said, "Hmm, alright, I'll have it hot." (Since I was feeling a bit cold up in the office.)

But... problem is, I wanted to order the Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea with pearls. 128517128514 I guess it was a miss on both me and the barista. So I let that slide. I got the Hibiscus Tea with a packet of honey.

On to the cashier. I asked to load my Starbucks card so it would be easier to order and pay for my drinks next time since I am collecting stickers. The load took quite a while. And the purchase of the drink was another transaction so it took more time. The guy at the cashier might have been a trainee because he certainly looked baffled while entering the order into the POS and he also misplaced the sticker on the card. He placed it on the Christmas drink side instead of the regular drink side. 128517 He must have been having a bad day. Lol.

My drink: a tall Hibiscus tea with one pack of honey. (They usually give two packs)

I tried to drink the tea without the honey first but it tasted a bit bland and bitter so I added the honey and it tasted so much better. Despite getting my order wrong, it wasn't such a bad replacement. 128541

ON A SIDE NOTE: I really love this Starbucks tumbler I got in Tokyo! It really keeps your drink PIPING HOT! 128514 I had to transfer my drink to a mug back at the office so I could drink it. 128514128514128514

It's that time of the year again when people start collecting for the Starbucks planner. This year's planners are really pretty!! 128525 One is with coffee stains and the other is a mermaid inspired design.

Their Christmas drinks are also available now so it's time for Toffee Nut!!! 12852510084️ I missed this drink. This is my all time favorite Christmas drink.

I ordered a Tall Hot Toffee Nut Latte with no whipped cream. I forgot to bring my own tumbler today but I'll be bringing it every time I visit Starbucks for this Christmas season. It's Php 5 less, every single peso counts to saving (and it also helps the environment). 128518

I've gotten used to having strong coffee so in my succeeding visits, I'd ask them to lessen the toffee nut syrup so it'll be less sweet. A friend of mine even had the regular 4 pumps reduced to just 1 pump for a grande. 128561

Too bad we missed the first 100 customers to get the card... Each branch offers their first 100 customers a card with a free "sticker" so it's one drink less to spend on.

The matcha and espresso fusion is seriously good.

Second take! Trying out the Matcha Espresso Fusion, but this time, hot instead of iced.

I like the hot better than the iced because it's more flavorful and it doesn't get watered down even if you don't finish it immediately. Similar to the iced version, the matcha flavor (and scent) is quite strong, in a way that the espresso flavor isn't really there...

I don't know if it's just me, but there's this sweet aftertaste that sticks. At the beginning of every sip, you'll taste that bitterness from the matcha. But after a while, you'll notice a sweetness lingering... which I didn't quite like since I'm not a fan for sweet drinks. Maybe I should ask for an extra shot of espresso next time? 🤔

I've seen so many reviews and posts on Facebook about the new Starbucks x Teavana Matcha Espresso Fusion so I decided to give it a shot this morning! 128513 I can't say no to matcha. 127861

THE GOOD
The matcha flavor is quite strong so you really know you're drinking something with matcha. That's a big thumbs up for me! 128077🏼

THE NOT-SO-GOOD
I couldn't taste the coffee!!! 128557 How is it a fusion if it only tastes like matcha and milk? 128532 It's strange how I read that it's quite strong but I didn't even find the drink bitter! 128528 Maybe I'm sensitive to sweetness that I thought my drink was more sweet than bitter... Considering it's tea and coffee. 128514

Having it iced might be good to be able to drink it immediately but after a while, the drink gets watered down because of so much ice.

I'll try the hot version next time, maybe it'll be better. 🤔

Starbucks pancakes - a great way to spend a chilling afternoon. Ask your barista to heat em up and ask for extra butter. Oh, and don't forget to get your favorite brew to go with the pancakes!

Desserts cravings after having lunch mean either Mary Grace or Starbucks cakes. 127856

Strawberry Cream Cake? The chiffon was soft and fluffy, but there's a layer in it that was sort of weird. The brown layer. I thought it was a graham layer but it wasn't quite right..

It was a good slice of cake to clean our palate after the lasagna.

I've gotten a strong craving game that it gets hard for me to focus at 4:00 p.m. Today it's a cheesecake and this one is a blueberry. Am not a big fan of blueberry, this store allowed me to get a slice for P135. The fruit was a perk me up though. Worked for me!! Yay!

I swear this barista is dead. Compared to the perky ones he looks dead, talks dead and punches in your order - DEAD.

I was shortchanged by P5 lang naman. I blame myself because i'm always in a rush and didn't check. But still, bad trip.

There were no stirrers available, too. Parang gusto ko bumili sa national ng popsicle sticks at i-donate sa kanila. Hassle. #medyofirstworldproblems

Hello, pike place roast. I just needed some coffee in my system. Hay.

Ordered my cafe americano with white choco mocha drink here but all the white choco mocha syrup went to the bottom of my drink. It was very hard to mix it even if i lightly shake it or use the straw to stir. Whenever i drink from the bottom i sip the pure syrup :(

The war is over. Hazelnut macchiato wins. But really? Starbucks can be such a marketing genius sometimes. The hype is overrated! Hazelnut was sweet and nutty but more on the sweet side. I let the syrup sit a bit and it tasted better.

My coffee preference is black, but I have to admit that I got reeled in to this macchiato war.

The line was long so it gave me time to decide what to order and even change it a couple of times in my head. Finalized on getting the earl grey tea to match the weather and a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with an Oreo inside. Do people not want to be surprised? I wish they named it chocolate chip surprise. And you don't know what stuffing you'll get in your cookie - marshmallows, extra chocolate chips, tortilla chips, an Oreo cookie, a toy, turkey stuffing. The list is endless! Rather than limiting it to Oreo cookies. It was pretty ok, but I think I'll choose whoopie cookies next time. I forgot where I got something similar before.

The earl grey was fragrant! Am glad to have gone with this instead of my usual English breakfast tea. 128522

You say "Christmas drink."
I say, egg nog.

You say "Starbucks."
I say, tall toffee nut latte - hot.

And then I realize we're not guests on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.

This is my first Starbucks Christmas drink this year and I have to 'say' that it's still as good as the first time I tasted it. Way to go, Starbucks! Sadly, I have given up collecting stickers for the planner. Kudos to those who have gotten theirs already!

Changing names is a tedious process. It's been a discussion for quite some time and I found out that you'll have to go to court for changing names. Yikes! That's a lot more stress i'd have to go through than getting unwelcome surprises!

But Starbucks changes that for you! They automatically change your name. It may or may not be to your liking, but try it, maybe you'll enjoy it. So, for the first time, i became Lina. What was it like to be a Lina? Pretty much the same, maybe a bit less tensed, or was the the effect of the coffee? Still good service. Am wondering what name they'll decide to christen me with next time.

Tall, non-fat, extra hot vanilla latte. Every morning without fail. Can't start the daily grind without it.

The thing with Starbucks, everyone of us has a favorite branch, a favorite barista. There's comfort in consistency when facing the daily work grind. I miss this branch during weekends, when I get a cup that's somehow not as good as the one I remember.
