New Drink Alert!

Starbucks recently released three new drinks.

¶ Iced Shaken Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls

¶ Iced Shaken Black Tea with Ruby Grapefruit and Honey

¶ Matcha and Espresso Fusion.

The first two are part of the Teavana series.  This is basically a revamped version of their tea roster.  I tried the Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls.  It's the perfect drink on a hot x humid day,  the pearls are awesome.  These are pearls infused with pomegranate extract, it pops in your mouth!

Next on my list is the Matcha and Espresso Fusion.

P. S.  This is my favourite branch.  Majority of the customers are students hence the serene vibe.  Perfect place to hang with a good book.

If you're looking for a peaceful SB branch, this one's the place to be. Most customers are law students of Ateneo so mejo babad sila sa pagbabasa ng mga reading materials nila.. the place is spacious and has high ceiling.. Oh and to add, soothing background music too!

This is my favorite place to buy overpriced coffee. Quiet and spacious second floor. One can daydream while having their caffeine fix

Majority of the patrons here are students and fellow bibliophiles. Hence the serene vibe. My default place if i want to listen to all of the other voices in my head.

This is probably my most favorite Starbucks branch!!! Whenever you need to read a book, attend a client call or a Skype meeting, or simply just chillin' out and do some "muni-muni", this is the best SB branch for you! Most people go here to get their coffee and study or attend a meeting. There are some chit chats but not as loud as to other branches.

The second floor was mainly the best place to sit and study, or read a book while the lower ground was perfect for catching up. I got my usual Iced White Chocolate Mocca with whipped cream. The servers are very friendly to every customers! Hope they'd sustain this excellent service!

After dinner at Rubs, we had classic new york cheesecake for dessert. I had caramel for my topping. Ultimate remedy to my sweet tooth!

This little note is specifically for the recent Starbucks offering of parfait cups. Since Christmas 2013 when I had my first cake cup from Cupcakes by Sonja, I've been seeing more and more food places offer up the dessert staples of sponge cake, crumble, fruits or chocolate and cream served in a cup or jar. To date, the cake cups of CBS are one of the most delicious. The Starbucks version is pretty to look at, as is the case for anything on display in Starbucks. It has a decent sponge but the raspberry sauce/syrup and whipped cream are from their drinks line-up. The parfait is whip-heavy. For the intro price tag of P120, just add another P45, walk across the street to the power plant mall's basement level where you find the lights of Cupcakes by Sonja and get yourself a cake cup instead.

For tonight's dessert my family and I decided to go to Starbucks in The Grove by Rockwell since we were around the area. To try something new, we went with the drink of the month:
Raspberry Truffle Mocha (3 pumps of Raspberry syrup to lessen the sweetness instead of the regular 5 pumps)- This reminds me of the Raspberry flavored candies I used to love when I was younger. Halfway drinking this, you will start tasting more of the Truffle side. We got this in hot Venti cup.
Chesnut Praline Latte (Also 3 pumps of Chesnut syrup to lessen the sweetness instead of the regular 5 pumps)- I wouldn't call myself a fan of Chesnuts itself but this drink made it to my favorites list nonetheless. The taste was perfect for the cold and rainy weather, not too sweet nor too bitter. We also got this served in hot Venti size
To go with the wonderful drinks, we got:
Blueberry-licious Cheesecake- I imagined cheesecakes to be more on the sour and salty side which kind of dissappointed me since it tasted quite sweeter than sour. Another thing we noticed is that regualry, when you order Blueberry Cheesecake, the blueberry would just be placed on top but this Blueberry Cheesecake doesn't do just that, but it also has a few blueberry pieces mixed with the cheesecake. Personally, I liked the idea so that it would be different from the regular.
Sticky Cinnamon Bun- When I tried this, I was able to confirm one thing- I never liked, don't like and never will like anything that has cinnamon in it.

The place is comfy and the staffs are very friendly. A typical sb cafe store but this place is very cozy plus there are times that the place is not that crowded 128516. Minus one star for limited sockets especially if you're working or doing assignments and all but overall this is a nice place where you can hang out and relax.

Nothing so special about this branch. As usual, good chill spot and perfect for catching up just like the other Starbucks branches. Not sure though if it's open 24/7.

After roaming around the bazaar at the rockwell tent, went to one of my favorite hang out spots with friends in tow.

Why is this my fave hang out spot? Really rad ambiance inside and al fresco along with the cool breeze.

I was rather thirsty and just wanted an iced tea but it wasnt available so opted for a caramel frap. Had a bite of my friend's pepper spam sandwich which was good but the bread was a tad stale na.

The staff are all cool as well!!

Super love this place. Perfect if you're reviewing cos their second floor is full of students too so expect them to be quiet and focused as well. Doctors, lawyers and engineers. 9786

My usual order is venti iced tea basic black 97869786️ yum yum. Love love it. Pairing it with either sausage roll, corned beef pandesal, choc dipped donut or their fudge brownie. 100841008410084

Went here for a snack after the meeting with my client for a new project scope. The meeting was quick and was held nearby so I dropped by to grab something.

I tried their Chicken Pastel Empanada and paired with a Decaf Iced White chocolate mocha and asked the barista to add whipped cream on top to complete the combo. The empanda was flaky but delicious and filling.

Their staffs have been always courteous and polite to every customer. Their place was totally perfect for me-time or study time. 1282189749

•Sticky Cinnamon Bun•

This has to be one of the best cinnamon stuff I've tried in my precious life. Didn't expect to have something this super good from Starbucks Coffee.

It may look small on the pic but please do trust me. THIS THING IS GIGANTIC. It can surely satisfy 2-3 people.

Definitely not for people who are trying to reduce their sugar intake. But for me. It's okay. I mean, I'm young. I can eat whatever I want. 128513

I got this bun together w/ a tall WARM cappuccino. Pretty good combination 128076

I'd love to try it again. And @Howard Schultz SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THIS STAYS ON THEIR MENU. FOREVER..........

Had a nice late night chat with friends here at starbucks. They had a very friendly staff. Wanted to buy frappe but Out of self-discipline opted to drink a venti mint blended tea instead. I was actually glad they had a lot of tea options since not all starbucks have that. So to reward my self I had a slice of cheesecake with they gladly top with any syrup you want.

Meeting has been dismissed earlier as what I expect it to be. So I made a round two and ordered a slice of Blueberry cheesecake while charging my dying phone. 128524

My verdict? It was okay. The blueberries were all around the top as well as mixed with the cheese-base of the cake so it was 70% blueberry and 30% cheesy taste. Not bad but not my type. 128513
