To be honest, the fact that it was purple caught my eye right away. Read the label Purple Yam Cheesecake and I was sold.

Unfortunately, it was too sweet and as someone who has a sweet tooth this is saying a lot. I paired with unsweetened coffee to offset the overwhelming sweetness. There was also a layer of macapuno and some sweet red beans but again the overall sweetness was a bit too much.

On a side note, I'm apparently not the only one who thinks so because one of the baristas came up to my table to ask about the cake, specifically if it was too sweet.

Oh well. I hope they adjust the recipe because really, who wouldn't want purple cheesecake?

Summer Berry Pannacotta Frappuccino Blended Beverage

•••

Summer Berry: a combination of fruit berries such as blueberry, cranberry, mulberry and strawberry. Balanced sweetness and citrus. Not overpowering.

Pannacotta: Italian-style pudding. A sinker that many Filipinos are familiar with and appreciate. This one when combined with the summer berry gives a smooth and creamy mouth feel and refreshing like no other! It's berry fulfilling! 127827

Just want to commend the security guard at this Starbucks branch for always being accommodating for a PWD like me. Does his best to get me a table when I have to queue alone

S'mores! I think I've already had about four of these as I am writing my review now (who cares about calories????)

I tried it cold and it was as good as the heated version. It's not too sweet, I love the charred flavor of the marshmallows. I recommend that you try both versions as well but if you're having it to go it's better to just pop it in your microwave/toaster yourself. This is perfect with a cup of bitter coffee.

Adios! 128111

Since it's Starbucks' anniversary today, you get a free cookie with your order. Also of you pay for drinks using your Starbucks card, you get double stars for the rewards program. Double stars also when you buy Via or whole bean

I love Starbucks ABS-CBN. It is a haven for us employees here who want to have a quick break from our everyday workload. Now that it has been renovated, the place looks more inviting with stronger features for the interior. The solid and dark colors made the place more serious and masculine catering to business meetings and good small talks.

However, my rating was OK for the dessert I ordered. Christmas season is already near so the Starbucks Holiday treats are available again (together with the oh-so-expensive planner). One of my favorite Holiday pastry is their Chocolate Crepe Cake. It's a layer full of crepes with chocolate filling topped with bitter cocoa powder. The thought of it makes me crave the older version. This one I tried was unlike the crepe cake I usually order last year. The version today has thicker layer of crepes making the slice of cake hard to cut. Once cut, the layers get destroyed making the cake look a disaster.

Hope they offer the quality of crepe cakes they had last year.

Visited this place around two weeks ago. We were treated by one of our clients. I can't remember if I ordered the Strawberry or Chocolate Frappe. I also ordered their Blueberry Cheesecake. 128539

Anyway, the place was crowded since it is in ABS-CBN. There are many people inside. But the food and coffee made the visit worthwhile. 128516

Just wanted to try the SB inside ABS-CBN and minus star because I was scared in the cr (I was the only one inside and you have to pass a creepy hallway before the cr) Not that scary but it was dark and you know, movies..

Anyway, I had Green Tea frappe since we already had too much sweets the entire day. Just wanted something that'd make me feel far from being a diabetic last time. 128541

No coffee, just food :)

Double Fudge Brownie (5/5)

This is now my second favorite brownie next to Ghirardelli's. it was moist in the center and a bit flaky on the top with chunks and sprinkles of chocolate. Looks as if it has a cake-like crumbly texture but it's chewy and fudgey all throughout!

Surprisingly isn't as sweet as its name implies. For only 50 pesos this is such a sweet little deal!

Ham & Cheese Croissant (2/5)

This one is all bread! I mean the croissant is good but you'll get tired of it once the scrimp filling is long gone.

Guilt-free Indulgence Cake (3.5/5)

It tastes a lot like chocolate mousse but with caramel and mocha flavored layers. A caramel macchiato cake, I would say! I like the top most cream/vanilla layer a lot. It tasted like thick and aired marshmallow fluff. The thin cake layer at the bottom is pretty good, I just wish it didn't have nuts.

I wonder how this is sugar free? It's a tad bit too sweet for my taste buds!

Was pleasantly surprised to see the return of my fave breakfast sandwich, the tomato, basil, mozzarella combo. This time, the tomatoes were roasted so it bumped up the flavor. The basil is now in pesto form. The bread they use now is Italian (the old one used to be grain bread). I'm happy to welcome back this sandwich 128522

White Chocolate Americano:
3 shots of espresso
6 pumps of White Chocolate
Extra hot

Got the grande size for just 120! That's a free double upsize and 2 free pumps of syrup! AHHH I LOVE YOU STARBUCKS LOYALTY CARD! 128536

If you guys are a fan of Vietnamese coffee, this is the closest thing to it. Smooth and sweet at the beginning, then has it's very strong bitter kick at the end. The white chocolate flavor resonates the sweet and natural caramelly flavor of Vietnamese coffee. 128076

Extra hot option so it stays hot for more than an hour! The espresso jolted me awake for 13 hours. Woopee!!

P.S. Stephen C, Asian Dolce Latte isn't available anymore so I couldn't try the double tall one 128532

Okay, Marshmallow Mocha is still available! Even though it's no longer the featured drink on the menu, you could ask the barista if they still have it in that branch. You never know, you might chance upon it.

I was happy I got the drink I wanted. I had it with an extra shot of espresso too. I just wanted to tip the bitterness scale a bit. For me, it turned out as a good decision, the drink still had that subtle chocolate taste, I could taste a bit of malt too. The added kick just relaxed me with its stronger coffee aroma. The bitter, the better for some coffee drinkers, like myself. It wasn't as creamy as the first one I had over at the Dapitan branch. Maybe they didn't steam the milk enough?

One problem though! This branch is so hot! Like people were literally fanning themselves. The aircon might have been set on the lowest temperature. So hot venue + hot drink = expected homey and cozy experience nullified.

While Peanut D. had the snack box (check out her review!), I just couldn't find it in myself to have one of those puny plane food things.

Instead, I went for the pulled pork sandwich! I'm usually pretty happy with their sandwiches (the tuna dill's really good and is pretty generous with the palaman!) but this time was different. Much like the zesty chicken Caesar sandwich, this thing barely had any pork in it! Check out the picture! BV!

Otherwise, everything else was just... Okay. The barista was nice and the branch was pretty quiet and relaxed. Unfortunately, I was there more for a filling snack than the ambience. :(

Finally got to try one of Starbucks' Snack Boxes! For cool foxes!

Okay that was horrible rhyming. Anyway...

Em D. And Pam L. here on looloo both got to try them last week and they both said it was good. So yesterday, I made sure to get this four cheese pesto pasta snack box.

Cons:

➡ It's puny! If you're starving, you might need 2 snack boxes. That's almost 300! Not worth it.

➡It looks like plane food. Okay I know that doesn't say much since it tastes good anyway but you know, I'm not a big fan of plane food so this means something to me in terms of first impressions.

Pros:

➡It was good! The four cheese dip was yummehhh and so was the pasta!

I liked it so much that I was actually trying to get this earlier today but they ran out :(

Good for when you want something light to eat. :)
