I’m no coffee person. My close friends know that already. So, if you’re going to invite me into a coffee shop, I would simply order a juice or cold chocolate drink. But of course, in occasional basis, I drink coffee whenever I feel I needed one. And Starbucks being well-known for their coffees, I would not order one. My preferences are just into chocolate based frappuccino or any fruity flavored juice. Blame the caffeine because I got palpitations with it.

So when I visited this Starbucks branch in UP Ayala Technohub with husband, I ordered the usual frappuccino drink. We had the Dark Mocha Frappuccino® Blended Beverage and Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino® Blended Beverage. Of course, I got the dark mocha one because it’s my flavor by default. I liked the small bits of dark chocolate blended in the frap, as well as, the sweet intense flavor of the drinks. On the other hand, the strawberry flavored one, was too sweet for my preference. It tasted like strawberry cheesecake with a kick of soury strawberry fruits. Overall, I liked the chocolate one better.

One good thing about Starbucks is the ambiance of this place. This is simply a default venue whenever we need to hang out and just chill around with friends. I always like the consistency of its interior design and the overall feel inside. This place is always perfect for hot lazy afternoon especially now that the weather is really unbearable. Thanks Starbucks for saving us whenever we struggle on finding a place to chill.

I found a new go-to Starbucks food! 128525 I usually order the same thing until I get tired of it because:

1. It sucks having to decide which food to get.
2. I really dont want to hold up the line while looking at their display for other food to try. This branch gets packed at certain hours of the day.

Then last week, I finally had a minute or two to look at their other food. Mixed Sandwiches (chicken, turkey, ham, egg, tuna, some veggies, etc) looked good on the display so I asked the barista about it. When she mentioned that it has chicken, ham, and turkey, I pulled out my wallet to pay for it. She got me at “chicken, ham...” 128525

For just Php140, I think it was worth it. I got to try 4 different sandwiches for a fair price. I loved all 4 sandwiches!!!

I should’ve ordered 2 sets of it. My only mistake was I asked for it be warmed (I just don’t like eating a cold sandwich). Peanut D said it’s better when it’s cold so I’ll give it another try so that I can compare. 🤔

I can’t wait to order Mixed Sandwiches again. Thank you Starbucks Coffee for this wonderful creation. 🤣

I’ve been eating this for days on end and so far I haven’t gotten tired of it… yet. It’s super filling and I really like the grittiness of this whole wheat bagel. I just add butter and it can be good for a quick lunch or panawid gutom if you’re already hallucinating from hunger but have to wait until dinner time. Haha.

Pro tip: get this toasted instead of just warmed so that it’s a little crispy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside!

This is Starbucks’ new drink: the Butterfly Pea Lemonade Cold Drink. Let that sink in. Sour lemonade combined with strong coffee.

Perhaps the Butterfly Pea is supposed to cut the extreme acidity of that? I’m not sure.

But I had a terrible cold when I tried this so I could only say it was sour. However, I couldn’t finish it because it was hurting my stomach. It was way too strong for me.

When I shared this on Instagram, other friends told me they hated this drink and that they feel like they just wasted money. My sister Em D says it tastes like toyo, meanwhile Jayson J says it tastes like ZIM cleaner lol.

Sooo... if you’re up for an adventure and are open to possibly wasting money, maybe you can try this.

But if you like sour drinks and super strong coffee, you will very likely like this one.

I've always asked for my tea to be steeped (which involved waiting for at least 5 mins) because I've learned that Starbucks put a good amount of white sugar in their Black Tea. (source: friend who used to work as a Starbucks barista)

BUT! Apparently all that has changed because now all their teas are Teavana! I don't know how long it has been like this cause I would have tried way back had I known.

So their black tea is no longer that crazy sweet concoction. This drink I got is their Black Tea mixed with 2 pumps of strawberry syrup. Still a bit too sweet so I'll try it with just one next time. Might be perfect with a venti though with 2 pumps.

But yes the lesson of the day is: their black tea is no longer laden with white sugar!

Got to try this Mango Greek Yogurt Parfait recently, and man, I thought I'm going to lose all of my teeth. 128514

It's tedious to chew, with all the granola bits and pieces in it, my jaw had a really good exercise there. Lol

I liked it overall, yeah, but not anytime soon again. 128513

Added point for the always friendly staff for this branch. 128077

Not sure why the Purple Yam Cookie from Starbucks is getting hate because I find it really good! But maybe I’m a little biased because I love anything that's ube and purple is my favorite color. 128156

The cookie in itself is soft, buttery, and moist but what makes it ~to die for~ are the swirls of pure ube that run across its entire body. It’s not like the ube jam from Good Shepherd but more like the filling you get inside Eng Bee Tin's ube hopia. I don’t know about you but I really like that stuff! 128514

I’ve ordered this cookie around three times now and I’m not sure if I can stop. It doesn’t help that there’s a Starbucks right below the office! ☡☡☡

When you see those lights with metal casing, that has got to be this starbucks branch. At least it has its own uniqueness. Went here fir a pight lunch, the chicken pot pie and i could conclude that there is at most one small chunk of chicken breast each serving, there's mushroom and a little cheese in it too.

Those paintings on porous metal towards their CR (which currently does not have soap 128530) is unique in this branch too

Sit outside near the entrance to have a townhall feel.
Sit outside opposite the counter to have a high rise feel.
Sit outside opposite the entrance to have that greenery feel.
I sat inside. Mainit sa labas. Heh.

Amazing not much customers at 2pm. (Balik trabaho)

I like drinks that have a combination of sourness and sweetness. So when I saw that Starbucks Coffee was promoting their Mango Passion Fruit Yogurt in-store, I quickly asked the barista for it. My friend ordered the strawberry variant.

The one I had tasted weird since I was expecting it to taste like Nestle's mango yogurt. It just didn't work well for me. It wasn't bad but it's not something that I would order again.

The strawberry passion fruit yogurt was different though. I liked it better than the mango one. It complimented the passion fruit and yogurt better.

If I were to try it again, I'd go for the strawberry passion fruit yogurt. :) Still worth the try!

Hahaha naubusan sila ng chocolate sauce (I ordered my favorite Double Chocolate Green Tea Frappuccino) and replaced it with caramel sauce instead. OK naman! 128077

'Twas late at night at the Technohub yet this branch was still filled with customers, as was other establishments in the area. I dunno if it operates 24/7 though (biding our time there last night after our movie/dinner at the Shangri-la mall, waiting for our sister who works in the area).

In my April 7 review, I mentioned that their aircon has been busted for already a week. More than a month later, it's still busted. 128555 I have to stay here though until my 10am meeting. The place isn't so packed at 7am so one Iwata fan's all mine.

In my last review, I said that the barista might have forgotten to add strawberry syrup to my English Breakfast Tea. So I tried it again today. This time, I saw it being prepped. The strawberry taste was really subtle. I wonder why it's different here. 128513

Service is great though. 🙂

Ordered English Breakfast Tea on ice with 2 pumps strawberry syrup but I think they forgot to add the syrup. I only took a sip after I left so I wasn't able to check and ask.

It was hot inside. Their aircon's been busted for more than a week already according to the guard. 128531

I love the new tuna wasabi turnover! I never believed in love at first bite until now. (God bless the soul of whoever thought of this pastry. I hope they live a long and prosperous life.) Sorry for the picture, I've already munched on half of the turnover here.

Another 5 star review because of EXCELLENT customer service.

One morning I asked the barista why they don't serve the French Butter Croissant at this branch. She said it was because this particular pastry doesn't really sell well there. I said ahh okay and left it at that.

I asked again the following week not meaning to ask the same exact person. It was just a random comment I made. I was surprised by how she answered.

Me: Bakit Wala kayong French Butter Croissant dito... Sabi sakin nung isang barista dito Di daw kasi mabenta...
Barista: Ako yung kausap mo nun.
Me: Ah! Wahahaha 128517128517
Barista: Sige magoorder Kami for this branch next week.
Me: Ay! Agad-agad??
Barista: Wait Lang ah, tanong Ko manager namin.

She comes back out after 5 minutes to tell me they'll have it the following Monday. 128563128563128563

And true enough, they did have it that Monday. They initially reserved one for me (it was already bagged and ready for pick up) but the following week, it was already in their display case. Let's see if this pastry gets ordered a lot or if they end up blaming me hahaha.

I LOVE THIS BRANCH!

Best place to spend a suspended day of classes or a Sunday to study 128518128516

After ages, I reloaded my card. My friend en I wanted to purchase this new black card, unfortunately it's not available 128547 anyway, I had pressed coffee. 4 cups of supposedly anniversary blend, but since they ran out of it too, I had Komodo dragon instead. Kudos to the crew who reminded me that the 1st 20 minutes after its brew is the best time to consume the coffee as its flavor or aroma or I forgot their term, is at its peak on that time frame. Yes it's dark roasted en its rele strong.

After dinner I had raspberry black currant. We were there from 2-11pm. I'd love to get back again as it is surrounded by greens. At times of having this feeling of "info overload" simply look around, you'll get refreshed 128522
