Stopped at Starbucks in the new wing of UP Town Center on the way to the parking for some frappe takeout. Finally tried the double chocolate green tea frappe and the chocolate black tea frappe.

Both were good but I prefer the green tea frappe better as I am slightly bothered by the granule texture in the chocolate black tea frappe - as the dominant taste is the black tea, the granules felt as if they were the granules from an accidentallu opened tea bag haha.

We all know how good it feels when a barista remembers us. I adore the UPTC Starbucks team, because it's not just one of them who says, "Hi Tracy!", it's all of them. Or well, most of them. Shout out to Vivien, Nikka, and Joyce! Ever since I was first greeted by Vivien by name, I made it a point to learn their names, too. Because that's the point of their name tags, right?

That alone makes me love Starbucks UPTC. ♡ Maybe one day, I can build up the courage to take their photo for a looloo review!

Anywhere, there's starbucks and UP Town center has one too! The space is quite small only can accomodate around 25 pax inside. Coffee master barista ana warmly greeted me and i immediately asked if she can do a latte art for me. She first pointed at barista vee, but at the end, coffee master ana accepted the challenge.

I ordered my usual PPM for the christmas sticker. I had mine no whip and sprinkles so to appreciate the art latte. It took her sometime to prepare my latte. Such time i have already gone to the CR for NUMBER 1 and back. I still waited a minute after... And the verdict:
Needs more practice. She reasoned out that they ran put of stock the good quality milk. (PCA?) that the milk they have was forming too many bubbles.

She made me a quite lousy heart latte art. I told her it's okay... It's ok ... Another booboo for starbucks. Do they really know how to make art lattes or are they just the face value and the vibrant hi-hellos type?well. This is a strike for up town center's starbucks...

Countdown for my next planner. Around 4-5 stickers more.

Back at my new usual Starbucks, and hey Peanut D, I remember the barista's name now! She greeted by name while I was thinking of what to get. The barista here is Vivien!

Anyway, this is my first time back at this Starbucks since I got back from Japan. I'm obviously still on a high from that trip, hence the Tokyo tumbler. (Also, please to be noticing my collapsible origami desk organizer LOL.)

Peppermint Mocha will always taste like Christmas, whatever form it comes in—whether frappuccino, iced, or hot. Christmas is indeed here!

I noticed they removed the product display in the middle of the store to make way for additional tables, and I found that rather disappointing. It made the place feel more cramped. Is it really a Filipino thing to fill up any empty space (i.e. Horror Vacui huhu)? Sadness. I did not like that choice, even if it meant I more seating.

Vivien forgot to give me the tumbler discount when I ordered, but thankfully she acknowledged the mistake. I'm still waiting for her to return my Starbucks card. I know it's just P5, but hey, a rule's a rule, right?

Anyway, on with the Christmas drinks!

For whatever reason, there came a time when I decided that maybe I've been having too much sugar in my life. Blame it on Facebook links to articles that a lot of my health-conscious friends share. But anyway.

I've always wanted to try the Starbucks Americano anyway, so I thought now would be an excellent time to do it. I went for the no frills Americano, just the way it was. It was so strong! I did manage to finish it, but I don't think I could ever order it that way again. Yep, sugar is here to stay.

Props to the female baristas who know me by name! I suddenly feel bad that I don't recall THEIR names. If I remember right, though, one of them is named Vee. Haha, fail. Note to self: get their names as well!

I should really remember to being my tumbler everytime. It may just be P5 off my drink, but after a while all those P5 turn into aother drink haha!

Anywho. I didn't think this place would be so packed on a Sunday! I overheard a couple saying how the space taken up by some of the souvenir shelves in the middle of the store waste precious space for more tables. At first I silently agreed but then as a designer (NUKS) some negative space is required for a design to look better. Cramming as much as you can in a given space will tend to look messy/cluttered/blah especially if a lot of the same thing us the one being crammed. Haha whattanerd.

It was love at first sight when I first walked through the doors of the newly opened Starbucks at UP Town Center. It isn't huge, which is just the way I like it. It feels much less "commercial" (for lack of a better word) that way. It's very reminiscent of the first Starbucks store in Seattle, which is probably why I find it so charming! It might just be me, but this particular branch seems a tiny bit different than the others, but I just can't seem to put my finger on how.

The baristas are chipper as ever, and the air conditioning is freeeeezing, both of which I find indications of a newly opened branch, LOL.

The only downside to this branch is probably the lack of a restroom, hence the lack of one star.

At last, an alternative to the original Starbucks on Katipunan where parking isn't a pain! P20 for (flat rate!) parking is a small price to pay.

You get golden hour sunlight here thanks to the glass walls, which is absolutely breathtaking for someone like me who loves sunlight and doesn't mind sitting at sun-drenched tables.
