When I saw banh mi in Vietnam, I remembered Subway sandwiches. They are pretty much the same; baguette with meat and veggies stuffing. Because Vietnamese food is too healthy for my taste, the only thing that I liked eating when I was there was the banh mi. It was delicious, takes a short time to prepare, and also cheap.

Subway is pretty much the same, except for the cheap part. It ain't cheap, and before you order anything make sure you know how much is it. Don't be like me, don't believe on their menu.

As I struggled to pick which one to order, I saw the poster that says add more to make your subway a little bit longer, or something to that effect. The picture used on that poster is a Subway Melt, the price printed is 95 pesos.

So I ordered Subway Melt and the guy who made my sandwich asked me which bread do I want. I looked at their menu and decided on a wheat bread. He then put some stuff in the bread and then asked for my choice of veggies and dressing. After he whipped up everything, he wrapped it on a paper and said it's 150. I was like, 150?! What the hell happened with 95 pesos?!

So there you see, don't believe the poster. Ask first.

The reason I'm giving this 4 stars despite being misled by the goddamn poster is the fact that it's good. That was one hell of a good sandwich, maybe even better than I had in Vietnam.

But I'm gonna lay off the sandwich for now. 150 pesos for only a 6-inch of sandwich is kinda heartbreaking.

6-inch Spicy Italian sandwich for dinner! I'd rather go with the Ham Sandwich though...

Glad to have this new Subway near the office! Sorry wasn't able to request Gwen I to add this place earlier, as this is already my fourth visit (that's how close this is to work!). Originally an Old Manila Coffee Shop store, this new Subway is conveniently located at Prince Plaza II just across Greenbelt 5, facing PLDT's MGO building.

Amidst the long line starting 12noon, we were able to get ahead and enjoy quality dine-in by arriving 5 minutes before noon. And to make our lunch sulit, we had to try out Subway's promo: get any two 6" sandwiches for only P200. We grabbed a pair of roast beef sandwiches with ranch dressing (originally at P150 each). You'll never go wrong with a Subway sandwich. Sulit talaga!

Brewed coffee here is only P30 - just perfect with the roast beef sandwiches!
