Late post.

My stomach has been bugging me since we came back from Ilocos. It's either I have a bug or I'm pregnant. I was craving for duhat and tuna sub so I asked hubby to buy one for me. The idea of the freshness of the veggies in my mouth makes me salivate. So off I ate my tuna sub whilst trying not to think of how it will come out later. I finished it of course and didn't even regret how bloated I felt. Thank goodness I discovered gingerbon and it helped kept my food down.

I'm not a fan of sandwiches. So, for me, this was just okay? It's the first time though. I think I made a wrong choice of order. Haha!

SUBWAY -- UST CARPARK BRANCH

Since this branch isn't added yet, I'll use the branch near my place. :)

Since the Unending Race happened this morning and I went there without food in my stomach, I decided to get a Sub before heading to my fieldwork. I opted for a kind of healthy breakfast, since I didn't want to have Mcdo or KFC brekky for two straight days.

I got two subs: one for breakfast and one for the trip to where my fieldwork's supposed to be. So, I got a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) sub for Php 99. I made it a Meal Deal for an additional Php65. So, that sub came with a large drink and either two cookies or chips. Nope, not baked or fried chips; chips as in... Lays, Doritos, and the like. And, the other sub I got was a Chicken Teriyaki sub for Php120. This one doesn't come with a drink, but since I made my BLT a Meal Deal, it's cool. I was supposed to get a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese breakfast thinggy, but their flat bread wasn't available.

I had honey oat (for bread) and honey mustard sauce for both subs. One thing I don't really like with Subway is that... The bacon isn't toasted. I want my bacon to be crisp! 128532 No, seriously, it's been my one and only complaint with Subway since I was 10. I love Subway, don't get me wrong: it's cheap for a kinda healthy 6-inch sandwich, but... I really want my bacon crispy and toasted. 128542 Also, the chicken in my chicken teriyaki sub didn't really taste like chicken teriyaki. Plus, it looked like it was shredded chicken breast from my Mom's adobo. And, since I chose cookies over chips... It made my day! HAHA. I love their cookies. It's like a fusion between Mrs. Field's and Chips Ahoy! I love my cookies really sweet and with tons of chocolate chips, and their cookies did not fail me! Although, you might need to chug down a bottle of water after eating two. :>

So, three stars for yummy cookies, for two meals worth less than 300Php, that cute guy behind the cash register, for that self-service soda machine, and for the kinda slow service (which was kind of understandable cause most of the customers were in the line even before they made up their mind on what sub or salad to order, oh well). Oh, and that Ate who makes the sandwiches, she's all-smiles and really patient with people! :) Also, they should work on the ventilation thing, since it's summer already and the weather's just annoying, they ought to have a cooler store or something.

When you're on the hunt for a quick yet full bite, give Subway a try. It's my first time here and I liked how my experience turned out. Thumbs up for the staff here, they greet you in a lively chorus once you're in and take your orders immediately. They're still on soft opening, but I hope they maintain the atmosphere. Here's how my gastronomic adventure went.

First, choose your bread. Choices are *Honey oat, Wheat, Parmesan oregano, and White Italian.

Second, choose which sub size you would like. Either you go for a 6 inch (either worth Php 105, 120 or 150) or go for *footlong (based on 6 inch selections).

Third, get some cheese. If you opt to add some extra cheese, bacon or double the meat, you may do so but additional charges apply.

Next, choose which veggies you would like to be added. They have sweet onions, jalapeños, *cucumber, *tomatoes, *bell pepper, *lettuce, olives, etc.

Fourth, pick which sauce would be right for your sandwich. There are 9 choices, including Ranch, and *Honey Mustard.

Lastly, if you wanna make it a 'meal deal', go for any large drink plus a choice of either *2 cookies or Lays chips. Just add Php65.

We ordered a footlong Subway Melt in Honey Oat bread, filled with lettuce, tomatoes, bell pepper, cucumber and honey mustard. They can cut it into half, so it's good for sharing! Talk about food value for money! The only downside was it was a little short in sauce. But the flavor and texture of the ingredients complement really well. Will give them a chance and just ask the staff to add more sauce next time. And plus points because it's near our place.

Now I'm craving for their Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Italian, and Subway Club sandwiches. 128523

So happy that there's finally a branch of Subway near me! Hehe. Was surprised to see this when we passed by the area and oh boy, I couldn't resist.

I ordered their B.L.T Sandwich with a Parmesan Oregano for bread + extra cheese! Sulit na sulit! Hehe. So happy with the wide variety of restaurants popping out of nowhere because of Il Centro! So excited to make more reviews! 128151

(PS. Thanks Roegan T for being patient with me being confusing and all. Lol! Thanks also for adding this and the Salon! Hehe)
