Tomas Morato food crawl yet again after work with a workmate last last Saturday! I was curious about the newly opened shops in F7 Rallos at Scout Rallos so invited some people to go try with me.
First stop was desserts! Hahaha! Yes we had desserts before dinner because the dessert shop was on the way before we reach the restaurant. The name's Sugar Stop by the way. I think it's a delivery-basis shop selling cakes and other sweets before. I just learned that day that they provide the cakes for Eighteen Bistro. I loved Eighteen's food but haven't tried their desserts..heard they're good though!
Still on soft opening, Sugar Stop is sharing the space previously Seafood Shack with two other small food stalls - Sweet Degrees and El Chili (something, I forgot the name basta may Chili! Haha!). It was obvious that they just opened based on their setup - broken door was covered by cardboard still, aircon not fully functioning yet, etc.
We just tried their Decadent Chocolate Cake which was so good, I am sure chocolate lovers will like this. Very rich chocolate taste that was not cloying sweet. It was served chilled and the texture overall was thick, quite hard to slice using the fork but totally worth it. One mini round cake good for two people was 150pesos only. Pretty good price!
Aside from the cakes, they also have other pastries like mudpies, revel bars, cheesecake bars, cookies, and etc. Seems promising! Could've tried the other goodies if we were not getting dinner after. Will come back definitely, I hope with better ACs already.
