Their beef kebab is where it's at for me. It was so tender and flavorful. I suggest to get it with pita bread instead of rice but ofcourse, it still depends on one's taste and appetite. I was not a fan of mediterrenean food until I tried Sultan. The place is small so you may have to wait to be seated and come out of the place smelling like kebab but it's all worth it considering the quality of the food. Servings are very generous for the price. Will definitely be back!

Beef shawarma 120.00.

Very meaty! Like the size. Though the meat didn't feel like it was served directly from the grill. I also think there are better sauces out there. For the price, sulit.

Tried Jayson's lamb rice. For less than 300, I think I will order this sometime. Meat for the lamb and shawarma could use a little more seasoning. Didn't like the hummus of Jojo, I could make a better one at home. Needed more lemon. Tasted like burnt sesame seeds.

Stared at the lamb shank ordered by a diner right beside our table. Wow, it was a really big bone, maybe good for 2, but was simot by that guy. I'll also come back to try this.

Happy that it's open late.

We went here a little past 9:30pm almost every restaurant in this area is at their closing aura already. Mediterranean dish sounds like a good idea for something heavy for dinner so we immediately went here. The place could accommodate at least 50pax and we were initially seated at the far end corner adjacent the counter which really lacks ventilation (generally the place is; what i mean to say is the air conditioning could not reach that area. It was a good thing that a table in front of the counter was vacated and we requested to transfer. That area is more tolerable.

Their humus is a little bitter. Too nutty/ chic pea-ish. To compare, i like the Feta at greenhills taste more than this. I like more sour taste in it; however it is tolerable, this was not my order but i manage to eat almost the same amount as the person who ordered it--so yeah i think i liked it anyway.

Oh, gorgeous! These lamb kebeb captivated my heart and stomach. The kebabs were super tender! I did not even had a hard time chewing it. The Ks agreed as well when i let them try my order. Try adding the garlic sauce to make it creamy (good thing their garlic sauce is free!) add it with the rice as well. They also have the chili sauce but i did not pit any on my kebab since i am not a chili fan.

Their chicken shawarma is enormous.

They serve lemon water for the record. The service went well naman. It took them a little more time with my lamb kebab but i did not mind since the dish was superb.

Their kebab is pretty good but a little expensive compared to those I usually eat. The serving size is pretty huge though so that's definitely a plus 128513

My concern about this area:
1. Parking - there's really no parking space allotted for this restaurant so you would have don't do street parking. I was just really lucky to have found a spot right in front of the restaurant.

2. Service - there's something about servers not smiling that makes me feel unwelcome. I felt like they were waiting to get rid of us because we came in late. I don't know. Maybe they're tired but still.. It just doesn't make me feel welcome. 128517

Maybe I'll eat here again if I won't have to bring a car haha but given the price, I'll just probably opt for something cheaper that satisfies my kebab/ Persian cravings 128513

Surprised that I still haven't submitted any review for this place. This place have been my go to place for my Kebab fix when in Makati. So I'll submit one review for my last two visit.

Hidden in the small street of makati and just beside Dicofi.

1st visit was just last week after meeting, me and the gang went for a lunchout here in Sultan. I got myself their Beef Kebab while also got to taste the Chicken curry from my friend. Their beef kebab serving is not your typical size. Five to Six big chunks of beef kebab on top of a big portion of rice. Their beef is very tender and very juicy flavorful. Cooked perfectly. I also love the strong flavor of the curry. Still a fan of mideterranean curry compared to japanese curry.

2nd visit was just awhile ago with the Kaladkarin. This time I got myself an order of chicken shawarma. I love it and was also bigger compared to other normal size shawarma. But not the best shawarma for me. Still it was good. Also got to bite on some Lamb Kebab. This was soooo gooood!!! Perfectly cooked medium rare. The taste and chewability was just perfect! Also tested the hummus, was also good. It got a bit of bitterness in it but manageable.

Overall when in makati this place is a must try. Just be sure be early during lunch break they tend to get jampacked.

Was very excited to try this place. The wife who is pregnant and craves shawarma really wanted to try this place as well.
The place was nice and clean and the staff very friendly.
We ordered the chicken and beef shawarma with cheese. Which sadly in my opinion is sub par. Why?... First of all both out shawarmas were full of onions and Very little meat . 2nd the cheese wc you pay extra is also very limited. And lastly, the pita bread was old stale, dry, crumbly. Sayang talaga. We won't be coming back

I love Mediterranean food and finding a good Mediterranean restaurant in Metro Manila ain’t easy; that was why I was ecstatic to discover Sultan – a Mediterranean Grill restaurant in Salcedo Village, Makati City. Do take note that the place is packed every lunch time between 12 noon to a little over 1pm after lunch. The place isn’t huge but it definitely is cozy with the interior design and the ambiance.

My boyfriend always orders their Seafood Curry whenever we dine at this restaurant. I am not a fan of curry but their Seafood Curry is definitely worth ordering. The price is acceptable too for PHP 230 served with rice. And no, the rice isn’t basmati rice. I think you can upgrade it for an additional price, though.

For me, I always order their Ox Tongue. I love the tenderness of the ox tongue and the creamy mushroom sauce that goes with it. It is a combination of my favorites, ox tongue, and mushroom sauce, add up the fact that the sauce is creamy! I wasn’t able to take a photo of it, though, so you guys just have to try it out yourself. Trust me on this one. But do make sure you can eat a lot. I usually end up with a super full stomach after devouring this dish. Haha! Ox Tongue costs PHP 240, also served with plain rice.

On special days, I would order their Special Kebab Plate for PHP 300. Beef and lamb please~ But this dish is actually good for two (2). I ordered this when I dined at the said Mediterranean restaurant by myself and I could only eat half of it. The serving was huge. I also asked them to upgrade the rice to buttered rice but the rice wasn’t as buttered as I thought it would be. It still tasted like plain rice. The beef was a bit chewy but the lamb was cooked perfectly!

My boyfriend and I have also tried their Shawarma for PHP140 each. I ordered the beef shawarma because I am such a beef lover and he ordered the seafood shawarma. I tried his first before tasting mine, and I prefer the beef shawarma over the seafood shawarma. Having a seafood shawarma kind of beats the purpose of a shawarma, well, at least for me. If you plan on trying out their main dishes, I would suggest ordering the shawarma on your next visit. The shawarma is actually good enough for lunch, or you can order their Shawarma Rice for PHP 200 instead.

Sultan Mediterranean Grill is one of my favorite restaurant with the scrumptious food that they offer; however, I hate their service. With the numerous times I have been there, I discovered a lot of things aside from the fact that the place is always packed during lunch time. Their service is horrible. I am not really sure how the chefs work inside the kitchen but orders are usually served 20 minutes to 30 minutes after. The longest that I have waited for my order is around 45 minutes. At first, I thought it was probably because the place is packed; but that doesn’t seem to be the case. My boyfriend and I dined at this restaurant around 5 in the afternoon and we were the only customers; yet our food was still served 30 minutes after. Also, after the waitress took my order, she came back 15 minutes after to tell me that they don’t have Beef Kebab anymore. Uh oh, you tell me this 15 minutes after? Then that means even though I ordered 15 minutes ago, they started cooking it 15 minutes after the waitress took my order. And again, take note, we were the only customers. I was really disappointed.

Nevertheless, it is worth visiting for their food. Just gave you a heads up, in case you do plan to visit the place. Hopefully, their service would improve.

Ventilation was bad, my eyes was very watery and started to get teary it was like i was in a bar and there was too much smoke in the room, although no smoke was visible.

But food and service was great. The chicken kebab i ordered was served warm and you can still see steam coming out from the chicken meat.

I wonder what happened with their ventilation. I regularly go here and usually you will just get smelly hair and clothes but not teary-eyed.

If your tastebuds are in search for something out of the ordinary... Sultan might just be the perfect place for you.

‼️‼️ Chicken Curry (P260) - the one featured here - This dish was very flavourful!!! It created a one of a kind experience of a very flavourful spoonful of curry and Beryani rice!!!! 128541 if you love something spicy with a very rich flavour of all the herbs combined, get this dish and upgrade your rice to Beryani for P35. Otherwise, just stick to the white rice that comes with their curry.

‼️‼️ Ox Tongue (P240) - this has been my favorite dish from my first Sultan visit. And until the 2nd one. It was soooo gooood, the tongue was well cooked, it melts in your mouth!!! It doesn't have a weird after taste and the way they cooked it was different from the usual. It had orange sauce with bellpepper, onions, mushrooms. It was really really good! The sauce also has this buttery taste, maybe they used butter to saute the onions and garlic and mushroom? Haha

‼️‼️ Lamb Shanks (P525) - the most popular and one of the best sellers in this restaurant! It was cooked very well and it was soft, it falls off the bone! The sauce that came with it was very very good as well! It compliments everything, the lamb shanks and the Beryani rice.

‼️ Vegetable Samosa (P170) - this dish was good but I don't think there was something extraordinary with it. Or maybe im just not a fan of these kinds of dishes that's why I didn't really enjoy it.

If the service was as good as the first time then I would've probably given this restaurant 4stars, even 5. But the service this time was just so bad. If the food wasnt as good, I could've exploded!!!! 128528

LEGEND:

‼️‼️ must try
‼️ good but skippable

It's been renovated since the last time I've been here and it makes the place look better. I was kinda of hungry and it wasn't emotional eating either. I asked Kirby G. if he wanted to share a platter and got psyched that he did. He ordered another dish, too! #matakaw. We had the lamb, beef and chicken and I ordered buttered rice. The platter is P580, the rice is not included yet but it comes with a salad.

Na-takaw mata ako dun ah. I was so full but it was a good thing I never wear tight clothes or else I would have been in big trouble. We ended up walking around the block for 5 minutes before splitting ways.

I would go back, but maybe order something solo because even for sharing, that was too much! Heehee.

Visited this restaurant with some of my officemates over lunch. We were 1st in line but had to wait for a table for 5 to free up. We waited around 15 mins. before we were seated at our table. Ordered my usual Chicken Kebab for 190 Php. As usual serving size is big enough to make me feel very full. Generous serving of chicken and rice. I also like mixing their free white sauce with the Chicken Kebab.

We also availed of the "post a picture in FB or IG using #sultanph" and got a gree scoop of ice cream. I actually wanted to try the basil flavor but it was not available. So i just tried the Silky Amber flavor (salted butter caramel). It was good.

Teemee T ordered their chicken tikka with pita bread for 230 php. It was tomato based and spicy. Serving size was big.

Just A bit disappointed that the free ice cream was not available when we visited (you can avail it if you share their food in ig or fb with the hashtag sutanph). Tunaw na raw. Their credit card wasn't working as well.

Ordering my favorite Chicken Kebab with Rice.

Just a bit disappointed with the service on my last visit as I had to request for water multiple times but there was no waitress/attendant available (I guess it was because of where we were seated). To call the waitress, I had to stand up and walk towards the reception area. Considering the place was not very crowded (around 5 tables only were occupied) when we visited.

My first time to try Sultan's falafel. Serving size was generous and it was place on top of a hummus which at 1st i thought was pita bread on the menu picture. Deep fried and toasted on the outside like a big fried bola bola. Although i just noticed there is a very strong smell of spices in every bite.
