We go here primarily for the beef noodles, and next for the xiao long bao. The noodles were a hit, as per usual. Flavorful, and the beef, and noodles were cooked just right. The xiao long bao was surprisingly disappointing because it was dry. There was no soup inside, it became like steamed gyoza.

They're moving to a new place in June, but just along the same street, replacing the irish pub.

Part of my Binondo Foodwalk, Suzhou Dimsum is the best place to eat authentic Chinese delicacy xiao long bao. Rich and delicate, the xiao long bao is a true Chinese delight to the tastebuds!

Even though there's a much much nearer branch(the one in the fort), we still like coming back to the original branch. Even though it looks dirtier, older and you know, typical old casual Chinese restaurant. Wait, are they under the same management with the fort branch? I'm not sure.

But i don't know why, i find food better here in the Mabini Branch. (Maybe because it's a chinese thing. The dirtier the better!) 128521

Say hello to our Uncle George! He was the one who introduced this place to us. He comes here regularly with his regular order of soy sauce steamed beef and kuchay dumplings, eating in disposable chopsticks! :p

This place is so small and unassuming so it's easy to miss. Just look for a restaurant with glass doors and Chinese decorations.

We had 2 orders of Taiwanese Beef Noodle and 1 order of Spareribs Noodle Soup (my sister and I ended up sharing since the serving here is huge). On top of that, we had 2 orders of Xiao Long Bao, 1 order of Kuchay and Pork Dumplings, and an order of Century Egg with Tofu.

The century egg dish was pretty good. The tofu was fresh and the taste was nice and simple. It gave us a break from the rich soup of the noodles.

I did have a problem with the Spareribs Noodle Soup since the soup was a bit bland. Maybe because we had them separate it already?

The dumplings definitely did not disappoint. We ended up taking home some frozen Kuchay Dumplings :) Just be careful of the Xiao Long Bao since it contains hot soup.

"Peng you wan an! Ni hao ma?" Is how the place greeted me. Stepping inside this restaurant really gives you a chinese atmosphere.

We ordered Spring Chicken, Tomato and I don't know Rice, Braised Beef Noodles and Xiao Long Bao.

I didn't like the Braised Beef Noodles, it was close to being tasteless. There's too much water in it and less seasoning. The Chicken was okay. I would describe it as Class-A Max's Chicken because they have the same taste and smell. Distinguishing factor would be the suppleness of the meat. The Tomato and I don't know rice was good! chekwang chekwa lang ang lasa! Xiao Long Bao was good but Lugang's Xiao Long Bao is better.

*As requested, For the sake of recommendations, doing this review all over again. Lol*

I think I found a new Chinese HITW that, well, made me fall inlove.

Suzhou Dimsum in Sucat (their original branch is in Malate).

I'm not a fan of chinese food (ever since the world began) but I'm beginning to like them since I came back from living in a chinese-infested country. However, I still choose the food I eat. And mind you, I don't get easily impressed with this kind of food... Until I found Suzhou Dimsum.

I've watched some show in TLC saying that there are gazillion types of chinese food... So I guess i found my type. 128541

The branch they have in Sucat is not easy to see or rather is "ignorable" but since I saw their signage in between familiar-commercial-signages, I've mentally noted the visit... And finally I did.

Since it was my first time and I had no idea what to order, I trusted my gut. I ordered Taiwan Beef Noodles (solo-80), Suzhou Rice (solo-90), and Spicy deep-fried spare ribs (200+ good for 2-3pax).

When I entered the establishment, I sensed that familiar Ongpin feel --- the cafeteria-like, chinese food stop where you can see the hustle and bustle of people eating, chatting...etc (I went latenight so there were few people remaining), But this one was clean...

The noodle soup was oh-to-die-for! It's reminiscent of the Pho Bo that I ate in Saigon (but of course the Pho was better). There was a generous serving of tender beef and veggies. The broth was impressively delicious! It was the first time I ordered soup and downed the broth up to the last sip!

Then there's the solo-more-than-a-cup Suzhou rice with an unselfish helping of shrimps. That was flavorful too. And of course the spareribs. It was so crunchy and yummy inside and out, I even ate the crumbs! 128540

I usually eat this cuisine with leftovers but this time, I gave no mercy! My dinner was more than sulit! What I love about it was, it wasn't as oily as the typical authentic chinese food I normally encounter.

I'd recommend this to everyone and I'll go back here again and again... To taste the other selections they have in their menu! 128077128076

Note:
The location indicates Malate but I went to the Sucat branch, sorry couldn't find the Sucat branch in the database... 128542

Suzhou Dimsum is a chinese restaurant located in Mabini. Since its Friday, me and my friends decided to follow our stomachs' desire and searched for a good place to eat. Vk, one of my companions, suggested we try this place.

Me and Jeanette wanted to sip some soup so we ordered their Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup. The food dint take that long. We shared the big bowl of noodle soup. Suh-weet! 10084

Anyway. The verdict... MASARAP! :) the soup really taste good and the noodles were cooked just right. You should eat it fast though because the food gets cold right away.

I also recommend their xiao long bao (dont know if i spelled that right). 128521

Went here for the xiao long bao and didn't like it. Their xiao long bao is sweet and tastes like pineapple ham in a tocino kind of way. Their other foods are okay. Nothing too fantastic or wonderful.

24 hours. Good for those who just partied all night in nearby Malate as want something like noodles or congee.

Suzhou is this hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in Malate. Even with directions, we got lost and when we reached the place, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment since it was located in a slum like area.

The restaurant has a pretty basic setup, with wooden tables and chairs. Their menu is just a laminated piece of paper and they claim that their specialty is the famous "Xiao Long Bao" or soup dumpling. I had my doubts since an order costs P100 only.

In the picture, it actually looks appetizing. However... I didn't like it. 128546 The dough was too thick, the meat was dry and the soup was starchy. I was so disappointed because I thought I found my go-to dumpling place.

We ordered some other stuff too, like their special rice, beef and tofu. I can't even remember their names. Nothing really stuck out at me and yet we ordered all their best sellers!

I think that the unsafe location was a big factor, since I went there with family for dinner.

All in all, it was a flop for me.
