An authentic Chinese restaurant and Pub with an ambiance like a mobster place in hong kong. Plus you get a business lunch ambiance and discreet dating place with their unique curtain rooms. All in the heart of BGC. You wont miss it its on top of Grams and Yellow cab. They have an awesome tasting Spicy chicken and 1st of its kind Pan fried Xiao Long Bao (XLB) . If your a beef lover a must try is Steamed in garlic. Definitely a place for comfort food, meetings, dating and now for drinks.

When I want to get a fix of Chinese comfort food, Suzhou is the place I go to. Their food items are priced well and the serving size is more than enough.

I always order their spicy chicken and rice with vegetables. The xiao long bao is also not bad at all .

After having tried Lugang and Shi Lin's Xiao Long Bao, it really felt as if we were tricked by Suzhou. 128532 Each Xiao Long Bao was too big, too dry, too meaty. Could've ordered some other dimsum and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Not to mention, service weren't accommodating as we had expected. Air conditioning from the ceiling kept on spitting out water, even though we transferred tables already.

If it weren't for that eggplant dish--the only dish we appreciated--I would have clicked "Hated" here.

I use to eat at the Mabini branch and I'm so happy i can eat here more often since they now have a branch here in The Fort. I always order the sliced beef in garlic. It's really tassty and it's spiciness is just enough for me not to drink a lot of water.

I'm just sad that the rice they use, as what Lou R said "kaning pinoy" it's not sticky enough for me to eat it in a bowl with chopsticks. Everything just falls apart:(

Also, the couch seats are yea, comfortable, but I think they need to have it vacuumed or something. I always know when a couch is dirty because i'll start scratching my nose and later i'll have rhinitis128532

For lunch, my friend suggested this place. No regrets as the xiao long bao was very good. Spicy chix was yummy.

Quite ok dishes. The food photos didn't do justice for the food so am not posting them :) the way they cooked the tofu, either in soup or part of the main courses is what i really liked. Other than that, nothing beats Binondo food :D

Their Tawain Beef Noodle Soup is almost as good as what they serve in "hole-in-the-wall" branch in Malate. The beef pieces could have had a little more braising to soften the gelatinous litid. This may become my go to place for comforting noodle soup.

Okay, if I said in an earlier review that Recovery Food isn't one of those restos you visit once, well unfortunately for me Suzhou is. The food was just...okay. We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Spicy Shrimp Wanton Soup, and the Special Xiao Long Bao. I can't say much about anything we ate because the food's just simply okay. Nothing to rant nor rave about.

The place does have this vibe where my brother and I felt like we were in an old HK movie and the restaurant was where Chinese mafia bosses would make their deals hahaha :p

For a non-spicy eater like me, I actually enjoyed eating here. Food served here is different from your usual traditional Chinese restaurant. I loved their steamed beef with garlic - it's very tender and the hoisin sauce provided perfectly matches the beef. Their fried xiaolongbao is also a must-try and because the base part is fried, there is less chance for the skin to rip apart hence you would enjoy it better.

Even though the the restaurant is located at fort area, price is reasonable.

Had intended to try Recovery Foods but it was full. We ended up in Suzhou because of thier barker who was quite persistent convincing us to try the place. Luckily, we did!

The place was quite nice, not exactly first class but not a hole in the wall either. The prices were pretty reasonable and the portions were quite ample. A serving/order is normally good for two to three people.

Tried the Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp & Vegetable Fried Rice, Beef Broccoli, Beef Stir Fry Noodles, Crispy Fried Chicken, Xiao Long Bao, Sticky Rice Balls, and Mango Sago.

Except for the Shrimp Fried Rice, which was decent, everything else was good. The Sticky Rice Balls were new to us - sticky rice stuffed with sweet goma (black sesame). Something different and yummy!

Service was also good, since the resto was not that big and it was easy to get the waiters' attention.

Definitely a must try! :) If you wanted to feel you're really dining in china better visit this place! :)

It's ambiance really lets you feel you're not around PH at all. The music, the smell, the interiors. And most definitely the food!

If you are a chinese food lover you must know how it feels inside when you taste the food that gives you the imagination that you are really dining at china. Their food not only taste good, but it's also affordable! Their food range is mostly on 100's only ;) And you will get more on what you paid for :P

I don't know if its the lack of umami but the food here was just bland. I had to put soy sauce on most dishes. Even the salted disfigured fried rice seemed to lack salt.
