Been wanting to try this place since it opened but i haven't had the chance. Made time to try it today though!!!

What i ordered:

CHEESEBURGER : Good, but i've had better ☹️
Meat is juicy and the sauce tasted really good!

ECSTACY FRIES : This one is okay... Although the sauce of the fries is too overwhelming for me.

Overall, the food is okay!
+1 star for their nice interior!!!

PS. I missed looloo! Sorry for being MIA, pero super busy lang talaga sa school! Cheers cause it's my last day yesterday kaya time to job hunt! 12788110024

Still on the fence whether this beats my best burger ever but they make the best burger buns I'll give it that. Softest buns I tell you.

Not a fan of their milkshakes nor their sides.

Hippy ambience.

Parking at Katipunan as always, a pain.

First of all, I feel guilty for not doing reviews as much as I wanted to. Ever since I got transferred to the day shift, I've been busy as hell. And lots of things happened too. We moved to a new place, the dog gave birth to cute little puppies, and it's only today that we had the luxury of a much needed rest. So why not spend your much needed free time by eating to your heart's content!

I've always known about Sweet Ecstasy when it was still at Cubao X and we felt bad when we heard that it moved without even trying it. We're not burger fans but since this burger joint has been making noise and has always been included on top 10 lists, we had to go to Katipunan.

We entered the place and we already liked the vibe. Cool vintage-y posters, funny signages, and it also has a Rakenrol poster which is a cool movie by Quark Henares. Diego Castillo of the band Sandwich (my fave) is a co-owner of this resto maybe that's it's got a cool, hippy feel. It's self-service so you need to go to the counter to order. Here's what we got:

Onion Rings - it's light and crunchy, just how onion rings should be. The batter isn't overwhelming and you can hear a loud crunch when you take a bite. A perfect partner to your burger!

Buffalo Wings - when I'm with the girlfriend, an order of Buffalo Wings is a must. For her, one does not enjoy a comfort food joint without wings. So one must order wings, preferably good ol' classic Buffalo. Ok why do I sound like J'aquen Hagar? Anyway, we love their wings. It's not as spicy as we want to, but it tastes authentic. It really tasts like Buffalo wings! Di katulad ng iba, Buffalo Wings daw, matamis naman! And the chicken's cooked perfectly. Tender, moist, and crispy.

The Double - What I like about this place is they do burger right: just classic, no arte. They don't boast of angus beef, or organic ingredients, or what-not. They serve burgers in the very simplest way: buns, beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sauce - and this in my opinion, makes you appreciate a burger more. When we took a bite of the burger, we're surprised on how juicy it is. You can even see the oil dripping when you take a bite. And that's what I want on a burger: simple, tasty, moist, juicy, and messy. Wag masyadong bastos, but you get what I mean. I want the juices dripping on my arm as I take a bite of that luscious meat. And it did just that. It was perfect. Good thing they're generous on tissue, maybe because they know it's gonna be messy, and if it's that messy, you're gonna need lots of tissue paper afterwards to wipe them juices off.

Hmm. I guess that's why they call the place Sweet Ecstasy.

Sorry looloo, I'll stop now. Don't censor me please!

Oh Sweet Ecstasy.. I'm so sorry for ignoring when you were still at Cubao X to think that we're always at X. I didn't know you were this good! But don't worry, I'll be back in no time. Back to your tender, moist..juicy.. Ok I'll stop now.

Burgers and milk shake kind of Friday night with the hubby. I've been meaning to try this ever since I heard of it.

The burger choices are limited to Cheeseburgers, Hamburgers and Double Burgers. No bacon add on but you can put onions, either fresh, grilled or caramelized. We ordered 2 Cheeseburgers, one with caramelized onions which you can hardly detect. We loved the juicy and flavorful all meat patties and the toasty buttery brioche burger buns. The vegetables were crisp and the sauce was a bit sweet. We loved the overall taste of the burger that we completely forgot to ask for catsup.

The ecstasy sauce and cheese overpowered the Ecstasy Fries and Burger Fries. The ecstasy sauce was sweet and nakakaumay. I think I'll stick to normal fries next time. Fries from both orders got cold right away.

The rich and creamy taste of the Mud Pie Milk Shake totally made up for it's lack of appeal. I loved the combination of the chocolate ice cream, nutella and oreos.

Amusing posters are strewn across the bright red walls. The wash area was a cute touch. The place was packed when we arrived and the server offered to bring in a table for us. It was a really tight squeeze. Good thing another table opened up.

Parking in front of the building was full. Underground parking was available but limited slots. The elevator took forever.

We're definitely going back for the Cheeseburgers and milk shakes but most probably in another branch. Can't believe we waited this long to try Sweet Ecstasy.

After the Looloo Rendezvoos last Wednesday evening at UPTC, hubby and my son fetch me then hubby was not yet taking his dinner so I accompany him at Regis Center in Katipunan.

Almost all the food place in Regis were closed since it's already late in the evening and it's a weekday so glad that Sweet Ecstasy is still open. This was our second time but my son first time. Hubby got cheeseburger while I just had onion rings. This is what I like here, so big, really looks and tasted like onion rings. Then my son got cheeseburger, onion rings too and milkshake . Price is a bit pricey. Usually it's around almost 200.

The place is not crowded, staffs are accommodating but there is still no wifi and cash basis only

I love good old-fashioned burgers. Juicy burger patty(-ies). Melted cheese. Pickles. Caramelized onions. Tomatoes. Lettuce. A little bit of mayo and ketchup. Freshly baked buns.

Sweet Ecstacy's cheeseburger was all that. Juicy old-school sandwich that reminded me of In-N-Out. Was willing to get my hands (and mouth) dirty for this. Well, except for one thing - the buns were all crumbly, they added to the mess I was already making. Everything inside was good though, but the bun could've brought it a little more closer to perfection. This burger's taste was nostalgic and is not for those who fancy huge-sized burgers with toppings like there's no tomorrow.

For sides, we ordered the Ecstacy fries, onion rings and the Sriracha Lime wings. The fries and onion rings were nothing special. We were expecting a bigger serving, but in the end we were kinda thankful for the small serving, or else we wouldn't have finished it because, well, we did not enjoy these two at all. The Sriracha Lime wings, though, was an entirely different story. This is the first time I enjoyed the combination of chili and lime! I just loved how perfectly these two flavors blended together. The wings were smaller than those from Charlie's Grind and Grill, but it was much bigger than Wingstop's. (Wingstop's wings are so tiny!) Oh, did I mention we got one more order? Yes, it was THAT good.

Their branch in Katipunan is their second, but I havent seen the main resto in Jupiter. I just think the location of this particular branch is not too visible so promotion by word-of-mouth is really important. They should also probably put up a sign somewhere near that area.

Anyway, I would be willing to get lost just as long as I would be rewarded with burgers and wings like Sweet Ecstacy's.

Oh my goodness...! Awesome awesome burgers... Good burgers! Great burgers! Oven cooked onion rings were awesome...! Just the right crisp, oil and salt...! Yum....!!!

The milkshakes were perfect partners to our burgers, onion rings and fries...! Hoo-wee..!

Will definitely come back and munch on these again. They also serve soy honey or srihacha lime chicken wings and may just explore those, too, in my next visit...

Self-service so it's cool... Space was great for hanging out. Well ventilated... You won't smell like oil even if you hang out there.. :) and, the food's reasonably priced (burgers at php120-250 depending on patty and style preference; and wings at php220, generous serving from what I saw... We had a couple order a basket of it next to our table).

My boyfriend and I had gone to Sweet Ecstasy once before, so I had already known that the place had really good burgers, but I recently revisited the place with a friend so I had learned which were the best sides to have with their burger.

When entering the place, their set-up is quite clean, sleek, spacious and in-theme with posters of celebrities and popular media on the walls, but modified to include burgers or something about Sweet Ecstasy. It was enough to put a smile on my face as I checked them out while waiting for my order. As we arrived during lunch hour, it took a while for my order to be ready, but when they called my name, I was quite excited.

For this round, I had gotten the kamote (sweet potato) fries and their signature cheeseburger with caramelized onions while my friend had gotten a cheeseburger with raw onions and onion rings (yes, he loves his onions). He offered to share some of his onion rings and I admit that I was wary given that I hated the sharp taste of onion, but for the sake of food, tried it anyway. I was blown away. The batter was crispy and light akin to tempura batter, but had a nice salty flavor in contrast to the sweetness that the onions presented. There was no sharpness left at all -- just the sweet, sweet taste of white onion. It's safe to say that I had more than just a taste that day.

The onion rings had also served as a good companion to the burger I had, given the rich salty flavor, however, I found that I loved the kamote fries more as it gave a nice sweet cut (especially with the sriracha honey dip) and contrast to the overall meal, and kept the "umay" factor away. The highlight of the meal though would always be the burger -- and Sweet Ecstasy does it so well. Their burgers are very basic -- patty, buns, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions and no nonsense. But when you take a bite? You see the quality of the burger and the harmony of all the ingredients. It shows just how much thought was put into the burger as a product for the place.

If there was one thing I had to complain about, it would be the price. Given the burger is quite basic, one would think it would be at least a little more affordable, but for the quality, I see that it can somehow be justified.

Would I go back? Definitely. Would I recommend it? If you want a really good burger and have a little extra cash to spend, sure.

SweetX is one of my comfort food! What more can you ask a juicy burger add some wings on the side, fries or onion rings! For sweet tooth lovers like me they do have milkshakes and adult milkshakes.

Top 2nd burger! Holidate yesterday and it wasn't peak hours so our meal was made by a relaxed cook who did not rush our orders! Yay! Thus, quality and quantity did not suffer.

Still a little expensive but hey we keep coming back for it so it's pretty worth it. The double 127828127828, perfectly arranged as per their fun quirky posters is the bomb! Their ecstasy fries 127839 topped with caramelized onions are still addicting, the siracha lime wings 127831 were good, love that the lime and siracha kick are equally tasted and my cherries and cream milkshake, my #1 milkshake is great! For some people coffee is their happiness in a cup for me it's this. The cherries and cream milkshake 128525127826

'Masabi lang na natry' was my motto for this place. I left with a full tummy but a very empty wallet. The place has a very retro feel with vintage posters all over their walls.

Ordered the cheeseburger, ecstacy fries and split a vanilla milkshake with the sister. I was surprised to see our bill total to 800 pesos. For burgers really?! I dont think ill be coming back as this place offers no meal combos whatsoever. Talk about hassle 128529

The food was good tho, juicy burger patties, a creamy and thick milkshake on the side. The secret sauce on the fries was also good but the serving size was too small for the price we paid.

One try is definitely enough. Err 128561 If they offer meal options maybe we can talk again. But I could probably stick to burger brothers or maybe good ol mcdo or burger king. I was not amazed and in 'ecstacy' HAHA

Cheers to earning mi burger badge! 127828

Hmm is there really a difference in the taste and quality of the burgers from this branch and their original spot along Jupiter in Makati? 128533 I think I read that somewhere here on looloo but I couldn't remember who wrote it hehe

Anyway, tried their cheeseburger (PHP 195). I was hoping they had meal options but I guess nada... Either wala nga or the lady who took my order really just wasn't in the mood to tell me about it or encourage me to add fries. #pabebeforfries 128543 There were only about 5 customers (including me and Claudette A) so I didn't know why she seemed meh. I wanted to try their fries but ok never mind. #MangalokKaNamanAte

The cheeseburger was just ok. Couldn't eat it though without making a mess! I don't know why or how my hair suddenly had some of their sauce. 128514 And the patty even fell out with the tomato and onions so it was VERY messy.

I'd give the burger 2.5 stars. It was just ok. Nothing special. The Beef's cheeseburger from Hole in the Wall pa rin for me. Place looked nice though.

Went here at around 4 pm and it's like we had the place to ourselves. Good service. This is the closest thing to In-N-Out here in the Philippines!!! My friends and I ordered cheeseburgers, their ecstacy fries and plain fries. I loved their brioche bun and the patty was so flavorful and charred right. Definitely a party in your tastebuds together with the fresh vegetables and their ecstacy sauce. The fries were good too just like In-N-Out's animal fries. Too bad they don't serve their adult milkshakes at this branch since it's close to Ateneo. But, I would love to try their signature milkshakes when I come back. I have my eye on that Cookie Butter milkshake! 128513

I finally tried this burger joint!

We ordered the off-menu grilled cheese burger with two patties. It was so delicious. Good thing I split this with a friend, otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish this on my own.

Also ordered a side of onion rings, which was just okay and milkshake, which is expensive for its size.

Will definitely come back to try their sriracha wings!

Tip: go on a weeknight to avoid the crowds.

Not ecstatic over their ecstasy sauce!🙄

I had really high hopes for this place! With their burgers being touted as one of the best in the metro, I was excited to hear that they were opening a branch along Katipunan!

So when my friend and I decided to go out tonight, somewhere a bit near, this was my suggestion... It was promising, huge open space with cool light fixtures... It was a self-service set-up, where you order at the counter and wait for your orders to be called out...

We fell in line, contemplating our orders... I decided on a cheeseburger (P195) with caramelized onions, ecstasy fries (P130), and their choco mint shake (P140)... It took some time for the food to be served, but the wait was still tolerable...

The orders were so small!!! Especially for the price!!! 128529 We were both looking forward to their ecstasy fries and yikes! It was a small order, a handful of fries topped with a slice of cheese, their secret sauce, and some form of relish... The sauce was a watered down and sour version of a thousand island dressing. I don't get it. Seriously... The relish on top made it really sour... Did not like this...☹️

The same sauce was in the burger, yikes! I should have requested to have it served on the side... The patty was okay, but I really couldn't taste it... They slathered both sides of the bun with lots of butter!!! Yikes!!! The taste of butter was overwhelming... The sauce was dripping with the butter and it started to congeal into fat on the container after sometime... In my mind, I can see it clogging my arteries!!! 128123128123128123 I didn't finish the burger and I felt a bit queasy after from all the oil...

I tried the choco mint milkshake, which tasted okay... Nothing really special about it... I didn't like the texture, felt like it should have been blended more? I also took a quick sip of my friend's Salted Caramel milkshake, which was again just okay... It was expensive, especially since they were using Big Scoop... Starr's shakes are so much better...

Service was kind of slow, really slow in fact... But since they just opened, I felt it was forgivable... But the staff were not helpful and not that nice... It wasn't a busy night; they could have handled their customers with a bit more finesse... Plus, ventilation wasn't that great... The smell of the food lingered on our clothes after we left... 128531

Overall, I just didn't feel like they lived up to their reputation. After telling my friend that they made a niche for themselves in Jupiter, we discussed if it was a matter of poor quality control between branches... I don't know, but from the looks of the other reviews, there may be growing pains as they settle into their new location... I just thought the burgers were expensive for the size, quality and taste... You would be better off with Lazy Bastard or The Beef or 8 cuts, which is roughly in the same price range...

Went to Sweet X after gymming #gains HAHA and I was really excited to try it cause everyone raves about it! I got a plain hamburger, and it was okay lang for me haha. It was a bit too oily for me (my tummy hurt afterwards hahaha I seem to be sensitive to excess oil), and the patty was too crumbly for my liking. But again it was, flavor-wise, just okay.

On a side note, it's quite expensive for what it is 128553 I probably finished the burger in 5 bites lang! Haha it would have been better if they had a stock of knives to help us maarte ones eat but oh well :)) Can't have everything. They do have plastic gloves though!
