For our dessert we tried SWEET NOTHING new shake called POKEMON SHAKE(130). Pokemon go was popular nowadays so it was good idea for pokemon lover like me:) The shake was good, not to sweet and worth the price128076128077128522

Went to Kapitolyo Gastropark last night was surprised to see that Purefoods has set up baconfest there. So all stalls there had bacon inspired/infused dishes to be tried. Got food at Tokyo Tempura, at 115 for a bucket of 9 tempura, it is a steal! Got the fish bowl iced tea at Surfries for 85, super sulit.

Now comes this, chocochip malt speculoos shake with a bacon straw from Sweet Nothing. I was expecting that the bacon would be shaped into a straw. What they did was the strip of bacon was curled around a regular straw haha. The drink had a cinnamony taste, but was loaded with whipped cream it was the same price as the other drinks they had at 130.

Return of the comeback? definitely!

I am so ... excited to share this experience with this food stall at the gastropark. I thought this would be a great option for drinks since my friends also bought their drinks here. It was a 1pm Sunday and i was surprised to see mot so much customer at the gastropark. My friends recommended me to get their four seasons so i went there to purchase one. When i told the server that i would be ordering their four seasons, the server told me: "sir, gagawin pa kasi iyon, pili nalang po kayo ng iba"

So i just ordered their apple with lemongrass--the one displayed together with the other ready-made juices.

128567 it tasted diluted c2. Sweet nothing tlga. 128514

Huhu. Nonetheless i have mineral water sa car. (Management, it was one of the july 17th afternoon shift server)

I'd rather call it Sweet Everything! Aside from the fact that it's too cute / too instagramworthy to be eaten, this one also deserves to be under their All Time Favorite Shakes because this vanilla based S'mores Shake is so creaaamy, not too sweet, and chocolatey! Yep! It didnt taste vanilla at all to me. Indeed the perfect way to beat the summer heat is to have this cutie patootie shakes!!!

Try this for Php120 when you visit Gastro Park! This is the very first stall you will see upon entering. I can't wait to have the Signature Cake Shakes on my next visit! #drooool 128586128586128586

Not so sure what they call this drink but it has smores on top. For less than PHP150, the aesthetics are pretty cool and will surely gain likes on instagram. Taste-wise, I think it was simple and ordinary tasting.

We got invited to eat, drink, and be merry, for free, and have a taste of some of the offerings from the Gastro Park Kapitolyo establishments. 128541

From Sweet Nothing, we had:

127874 Birthday Cake Shake (PhP 130). I liked this vanilla-based drink, topped with cotton candy and some candy sprinkles. Surprisingly, the drink itself wasn't too sweet. That's a good thing though because the cotton candy has got that covered already.

127846 S'mores Shake (PhP 120). Also vanilla-based. Normally, with s'mores, Graham crackers are used. Here, they have wafers to sandwich the marshmallows. I actually liked the wafers more since it felt very light.

127851 Frozen Hot Chocolate (PhP 120). This one is chocolate-based. I did not actually notice much difference from the taste of the vanilla-based drinks. But I only had a little of this.

Good service from the staff. With this summer's heat, they can still manage to smile and work efficiently. 128077🏻

On the way to Gastro Park, I was really decided to try their famous Smores. Buuuuut, I'm a sucker for matcha. No regrets tho. It tasted gooood!

Matcha is lav 127808

If you're not a fan of milk shake, order their brewed iced tea its also good.

With this intense tiring heat, I can drink anything cold, and ice-blended. 128541

My friends and I were on a food trip at Kapitolyo last time. We decided to meet at 3pm at Gastro Park, but they arrived 4pm. 128546 So while waiting, I ordered the beautiful Birthday Cake milkshake (photo).

Sweet Nothing is the first kiosk that you'll see when you enter Gastro Park. It sells milkshakes, iced teas, juices and sodas. All for everyone's refreshment! 128541

As per their menu, bestseller is the Strawberry Shortcake Shake. I also tried it, but I liked the Birthday Cake shake better. Yes, the cotton candy on top is sweet (it's made of sugar, right?) but the milkshake itself is not too sweet. Balanced, I must say.

My friends tried their S'mores shake and Molten Lava Cake shake. They like their drinks as well. I think the owner of the store already knows that people nowadays don't like drinks that are too sweet.

P.S. They also sell Matcha Green Tea shake. I'll try it next time. 128584

Anyone who has shared a meal with me has experienced the following scenario:

Me flipping to the beverage page, asking he server what kind of iced tea they have (is it really brewed or is it powdered? "Nestea ba? No thank you") and then silently deliberating whether or not to order iced tea.

You see, iced tea is my guilty pleasure. Have I ordered an obscene amount of food already? Yes. Will I add a ton of extra calories and sugar to my meal? Hell yes. There is just something about iced tea that makes the dining experience complete.

Now that you are all understand how deeply my love for iced tea is.. Let's discuss Sweet Nothing's iced tea.

It's P50 for a large size drink. This in itself is already a big plus. I hate it when restaurants charge an insane amount of money for drinks (yes I know that's where they make money, but still). The iced tea itself is the perfect blend of bitter and sweet and I really do enjoy it. I'm not really sure if this is powdered or brewed (I think it may be powdered) but for once I don't really care because I do like the taste regardless.

I've been here twice and always plan to order the smores shake but I can't seem to let go of my iced tea obsession. 128514

Versus other ice cream places where you'll see pretty cups of goodness, visually this was not as appealing as what they had in their photos.

We got the Smores and the Molten Lava. Taste wise, it was worth the 120 pesos. Not as thick though and a little on the foamy side, but they're priced really low anyway. Flavor, was pretty good. I liked the bits of chocolate in the lava. The whipped cream was too soft. I think the experience would be different if it were stiff. My son of course loved it. He's a teenager so just about anything ice cream is delicious.

We only waited for 15 minutes. The whole park was just ok. There are a lot of tables but not enough for the people coming in.

Two months ago, I fell in love with a matcha ice cream in Mercatto Centrale. And this time, it's a shake! What made it more exciting (and not to mention challenging) to eat, is this huge cotton candy with sprinkles on top of the cup! I find it weird but it's a good deal for me. I love weird things anyway hahaha! The sweetness of the cotton candy balances the distinct taste of the matcha green tea-based shake. Will come back for more!! 128149

This first visit went kaput. We went to GastroPark in Kapitolyo just for them only to do a look-see because we couldn't deal with the circumstances 128532

First, they were all out of vanilla ice cream so there were no vanilla-based desserts available, crossing 70% off the menu. We decide on getting a strawberry ice cream-based milkshake but the lone girl in the kiosk said there would be a 30-minute wait because there's a lot of orders. Ate didn't seem like one happy camper.

Since time is gold and we had other places to go, we left. It was fun taking pics around the park tho.
