Spending the entire day at the hospital today was unexpected. I thought i would just be dropping off some paperworks 128517

My stomach was feeling queasy today that I opted to have Congee Filipino (239php), it's congee with boiled egg, fried squid and I think some chicharon as well 128517 The overall taste is okay. But because I still had no appetite, I wasn't able to finish it. But then again, the serving was just too big for one person 128531

But at least I know they have lugaw and congee here 128521

Back here at the hospital. Went back to this resto for some good food and for the first time, i was disappointed. Ordered their crispy fried chicken- sooo salty, and breading was thick.

Putanesca is ok. Strong olive taste, so you know for sure that the ingredients used are of quality.

Lechon kawali was tough. Didnt like it.

5th day dinner here. Katsudon and tempura are ok! You can come back to this resto and not tire of their food. Very good variety.

Really, this is a Japanese resto? Lol 128514

Anyways, this place has been my dining place for few days now... My mom is currently confined in St. Luke's QC and I can't go far away so my relatives and I eat here especially during lunch for the past few days.

We ordered their Filipino dishes-- Chicken pork adobo, grilled squid, sinampalukang manok, pinakbet, pork BBQ, kare kare. I love everything tht we ordered! It's all tasty, and yes I love the atsara (?) they serve together with some dishes. 128522

-1 star because I think kulang sila sa servers. And yes, we have to call their attention for more than 3x before they attend to us. And some dishes we ordered aren't served to us, like the Gambas and chicken teriyaki... 128529 Forgetful much? Lol We experienced it here 2x already... Same issues. Btw, still might be back here later or next few days. Lol

Due to busy schedules, I ended up meeting my former boss and mentor here for dinner... I love catching up with her, even if it's just for a short while... There's nothing like the guiding voice of your mentor to give you strength in any undertaking...10084

First of all, I don't think Sweet Tomato Grill is a Japanese restaurant. Seriously, I've been here numerous times and although they do serve Japanese food, I have also tried Filipino, American, Chinese and Spanish dishes. That's exactly what I like about this restaurant - the variety of food they offer. Also, being in a hospital, it doesn't taste like hospital food.

Beside Sweet Tomato Grill is Walnut Creek Cafe, where you can order frappuccinos, smoothies, coffee, tea, etc.

We ordered Chocolate Frappuccino, Mocha Frappuccino, Siomai, Lomi, Gambas al Ajillo, Chicken Salpicao, Yang Chow Fried Rice and Hamburger Steak.

The frappucinos were good, although on the sweet side. Siomai was also delicious, I always order that whenever I'm here. The lomi is my dad's favorite, and it's really good as well! Gambas and Chicken Salpicao were okay, although the serving size for both were small. Yang Chow and Hanburger Steak was okay. The fries in the Hamburger Steak were obviously store-bought though.

Another thing, their Adobo rice is also delicious and it's good for sharing! Perfect meal by itself since there are pork and chicken adobo pieces with the very flavorful rice!

This place is packed full most of the time. And I am not surprised since it is nicely located on the first floor of St. Luke's main hospital building, which is very convenient for everyone going in and out of the area.

A little bit pricey.
Good variety of food.
Good serving size.

I personally love their congee (because i could only tolerate soft foods at that time) cooked just right and with enough slices of century egg and pork floss.
Their ham (3pieces) and egg (2sunny side up but you can also have it scrambled) with garlic rice and tomatoes was 3 out of 5. I didn't like the garlic rice, it was too oily for me.
Tried their buko pandan too, the cream was really thick and was too sweet to me. But because i was hungry i ate all of it lol. I had to wash it down with 2glass of water:)

If you're really hungry and could not summon your physical body to get out of the hosp and you don't like the hospital food(which was also good) this place is A-ok! They can also deliver to your room if you are admitted:) menu is on the bedside table.
