Who could ever get tired of tagaytay?

When I was young-er 128514 I was beginning to develop a certain hate for this place. We went so often, I could get there on my own at the age of 10! I would always find a way to make excuses not to go with my family but in the end, I knew I'd still be missing out & eventually go. Imagine, what tagaytay had to offer back then but the same view, the park and josephine's all the freaking time128514! But as I grew up, this place grew on me and I ended up loving the precious times we had and value how much my parents love this place.

Went horseback riding a few years back and we were surprised by the new path we took. Little did we know, we were victimized by the "colorum" agents. We sailed the lake past the allowed time around past 4pm and boy was that a scary boat ride! This path we took was more interesting and wild but of course, still unsafe and not very complacent for tourists. It was more like of a local's route around the taal, I guess. Anyway, a little adventure won't hurt but it's better when you're prepared at least. I mean, we did get paranoid from time to time when we'd pass secluded areas as there were no other people around anymore. We just head on and prayed we were with good people and so we got up safely and to the top and back down. We learned our lesson this time and up until now, no matter how many time I visit this place, that volcano is always simply fascinating for me. 127755127755127755

Just a two hour trip from Manila, and another one and a half hour of boat ride and hiking to the top of the volcano and down to its crater. Here you will experience what is inside the crater of a volcano. Taal volcano, a lake inside a volcano surrounded by a lake inside an outer volcano. There are two ways to experience the volcano, either you hike to the top which is the viewpoint, a spectacular view of the crater lake. Or you ask the boatman to bring you to the other side of the volcano. Here either you hike or rent a horse to go up and then down to the crater.

Oh, Taal lake. 128525128525128525 You take my breath away!

Went to Tagaytay for 2 days and 1 night and boy was it such an adventure! 10084️ It was a trip full of scenic views, trying new things and endless food trips! On this particular trip, I didn't go to the places I've been to in the city already. The bf and I decided to explore the spots we've only read about here on |ooloo or on other lifestyle websites. 128516

We had a whole itinerary planned, but our sidetrip here was not part of it. I just wanted to see the lake more closely so we just followed the road signs. When we took the road that said "Taal Lake" from the rotunda, we just went for it. We were asked by some guy to pull over to follow him and I just said yes, not knowing what'll happen next. I suddenly noticed that I've been driving for quite a while already on a very scary zigzag road. But if I turned around, it just might be more dangerous, so we continued cruising down.

We finally got to a flat and wide road and we were asked by the guy to follow him to a small resort. It was a beautiful view but I knew the guy's "kindness" was so he could sell to us another overpriced package to see the volcano closer, and I was right. 128529

Had I been alone, I would've said yes because I have an uncontrollable urge to please people, but good thing my bf was one smooth talker. He managed to get us out of it, and even scored a few minutes just to appreciate the view. 128525

Overall, I wouldn't deny this unplanned trip was the best part of our trip. 128536128536128536 well, I take it back. Hahahaha 128516128516128516 This particular trip is super special, so if anything, this was one of the best parts we did. More reviews to come on the rest of our short but sweet Tagaytay trip! 1008410084100841008410084

Have only seen this place from afar. We had our first anniversary (back in 2009) in tagaytay overlooking this place and have since visited a number of times again.

The waters of Taal Lake was very calm when we visited. It was so nice to see this view. The boat ride was only 1,000 pesos. Every peso was worth it. It's pretty cool that you can go fishing there since there are a lot of fishes in the area. I would definitely go back there!!
