A little dissatisfied with our stay for the company retreat. 128531

I was initially pleased with how thoughtful the staff were with our needs and requests. Quite easy to coordinate with on logistics and they delivered on time. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet for all guests is to die for.

However, the food served in our plenary hall was sub-par - the leche flan was quiche-like in consistency and the entrees were a little bland. It's tricky to cook for that many people and that earns most hotels 4 stars IMHO.

BUT, the aircon in some of the rooms drip on to your luggage on the low counter(?). And the bathrooms don't have doors so it was inconvenient considering the room was for double or triple sharing. The toilet door has an opening at the bottom of so it smells a bit in your room. No bidet either. I was most disappointed by one staff member though who gave us attitude and condescending looks a few times while serving us. I'm familiar with service delivery, and that person failed the minimum requirement.

Might come back for a personal stay in the future though. 🤔

Taal Vista Hotel probably has the best view of Taal Volcano that i've ever seen so far. They have a viewing deck open to tourist even those who are not staying in their hotel.

I've been going back to Tagaytay many times now since most Out Of Town weddings are usually held in different event places in Tagaytay, yet this venue really caught my eye.

I can imagine having a romantic sunset dinner here with my loved ones. Such a romantic place!
The hotel rarely gets over crowded, I guess the deck is not known to many. If you're going to Tagaytay, go and visit this place!

Our second stopped hotel is the Taal Vista Hotel. It is located at Tagaytay next to Skyranch. I really really loved there at Taal Vista Hotel because it's so beautiful, nice, cold and lovely place.

There so many trees, flowers, gardens and beautiful green landscape. The Taal Vista Hotel is full of greenery and has the most beautiful scenery look from the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano. It's so relaxing and fun to play there.

The weather there is so cold it's about 16° to 18°.
It's perfect for coffee. You can seat there on the benches or in the grass and in the chairs with tables. Watching the clouds above and looking the Taal Lake heading fogs that is so cold.

I really really loved there. I want to go back there soon or sooner maybe because it's school time.

Last Halloween, we stayed at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay. We got a good discount thru booking at Agoda.com wherein we just paid P4,900 instead of P7,000. This is for a superior room which is actually good for 2 but I think it can accommodate up to 4 people because the bed is really big and they have a sofa. It also includes buffet breakfast, complimentary welcome drinks, parking and wifi.

The place was really big. There are actually two wings: Mountain and Lake Wings. There is also a Kultura Shop where you can buy Filipino pasalubong. There is also a bakeshop selling cakes and French macaroons. They have two restaurants: Cafe Veranda and Taza. Cafe Veranda is near the mountain wing and it is where we have their breakfast buffet.

They also have a playroom for the billiards and a gym. We tried both! Luckily, there were no one using both areas so we freely maximize the place. But we were not able to try their swimming pool because we were already hungry!

Overall, the place is really good and their staff are also accommodating! It is definitely a perfect place to rest and relax. We will be looking forward for the next promo of Taal Vista so we can go back and enjoy their amazing place.

First time to spend the night in Tagaytay and we made the right choice to stay here in this really beautiful hotel. They did a lot of renovations already and it didn't show that this hotel was built already in the 1930s 128561 They have old pictures displayed in the hallway and we had fun looking at the old photos 128556 The pool area has a depth of 5ft but there's also a small portion of the pool for the kids - bring your lifesavers so kids can stay with you in the deeper side coz they dont have floaters for kids. The rooms were big and there was a sofa which you can use as bed that can fit 1 adult and 1 child same with their beds so all in all we were 3 adults and 3 kids in 1 room 128077🏻 You can ask for extra pillows, blankets, towels and drinking water. Breakfast buffet was included for 2 adults and 2 children only but our 3rd child was free bec he's 5 and below 128076🏻The view of Taal Volcano while having breakfast was superb! They serve breakfast starting 6am until 10pm and they have indoor and outdoor dining area - of cors with the cool weather in tagaytay you would love to be seated outside while enjoying the view 128525 Hope their dinner buffet would be available at a later time too coz they serve dinner only from 6-9pm 128543 But no worries since there are a lot of nice restos nearby that opens until 11pm or later 128522

Room is spacious and the place is clean and relaxing.

Buffet breakfast was good but the choices were a bit limited. The pool was soooo cold, no one could swim! It was also very far from our room.

This hotel is just beside skyranch so it's very convenient if your family will visit it..

Finally, Looloo App is now on Android! I'm so happy!

Last week, our company held its Country Kick Off, 2 days of meetings and a night of party party.

I must say that all of their staffs are friendly, from the concierge, waiters, room attendants to their Manager. Our needs were taken care off and even though we checked out late we were not charged by Taal Vista. We were 45, but non if us encountered any problem with their service.

Since I'm a traveler I've been to the best hotels in the country, so I can say that theirs were so typical. What's good with this hotel is that they have big area facing taal volcano (in which their hotel is known for and became tourist attraction); company activities can be done here like morning exercise which we did. Though we haven't tried the swimming pool, but look at my picture, its very attractive especially during night time coz it has led color changes every minute.

What I liked about my room is I can control the ACU temperature, that's good for a lamigin person like me.

127835 127775127775127775127775

Food served during the whole day's activity is delicious but I really need to say that their pork viands were not good; pork meat were so makunat. But their beef dishes were superb, also the fish and chicken. During the party, we were served with hard alcoholic drinks, beer, mojitos and fruit juices. Since I'm a non alcoholic drinker, I love the cherry fruit juice; it's very refreshing.

Fruits and Vegetable Salads were perfect. I loved their dressings and pineapple is soooo sweet.

Value for Money, I really don't know. Our company paid for it, I just enjoyed my stay.

Taal Vista Hotel is a luxury hotel in tagaytay city.
I bought a voucher promo for Php 3,750/night it includes a deluxe room with queen size bed for 2, wifi connection, amenities like hair dryer, shampoo, lotion etc. Good thing about this hotel, it is very accessible via private or public transportation. The skyranch tagaytay is beside taal vista and has a mcdonalds in front of the establishment.

What to do in Taal Vista?
You can dip into their swimming pool area, enjoy the overlooking view of taal volcano, buy a souvenir in their shop, enjoy the nature.

We also tried their cafe veranda. I also bought na voucher for Php 699.00/person for a buffet lunch. While the buffet breakfast is Php 599.00/person.

I really enjoyed staying in Taal Vista. You must try it too.

I love my first ever Taal Vista experience, from check-in to check-out.

Everyone me and my companion meet are so warm and had a nice smile and greeting. The staff are always so willing to be of assistance, in a very sincere and non-intrusive way. The customer service here I believe is at par with Manila Peninsula, and no hotel has given such experience to me, until Taal Vista.

The view was AMAZING. Our room wasn't facing the lake but I still could see portion of Taal from our window. If you want the full view, the hotel has a viewing deck where can hang out, walk around, take picture and just relax.

We were also given a PHP1000 worth voucher on food and drinks at Cafe Veranda/ Taza. There are so many options to choose from in the restaurant, and the prices aren't astronomically high, compared to other hotels. Food wasn't bad either. Ambiance is also very romantic and relaxing, and the staff, again, are very accommodating.

Only improvement areas I can think of (which can be considered irrelevant, in lieu of all the great things we experienced) would be the slow internet. And a bidet in the comfort room would be nice.ü

Overall, really one of the best hotel I've visited--excited to be back, and looking forward to the same superb experience!

The grand dame of Tagaytay had some serious issues in the past. Ever since SM group bought it, It tried to reinvent itself.

Rooms at Lake view side were wonderful, up to date and spacious. Their beds were comfortable and amenities were up to standard. Those at mountain view are showing its age.

Food seriously needs to improve

Overall experience was satisfactory.

We spend a night or 2 in Taal Vista at least once a year. There were a few a times we paid full price (around php10,000 and boy did we regret those times), but ever since I started using a deal site, I make sure to buy a voucher when they have one. We like Taal Vista, it has the greatest view of Taal lake, we've stayed at different places in Tagaytay but none of the small boutique hotels around can compare to the space and view they offer. But 9-10k for substandard quality fixtures? And the toiletries! At other hotels, for that rate, you get Evelyn & Crabtree, Acca Cappa, L'occitane or Chopard. I remember staying at T house Tagaytay and they use Ilog Maria toiletries. Can't they just use those instead?

So anyways, we stayed over night recently. Unfortunately, I didn't have a voucher so after looking around for deals, I found one for a de luxe room at mountain wing. The last time we stayed at the mountain wing was way back before SM took over. We've always stayed at the lake wing ever since it was built but since I heard they've refurbished all rooms, I was OK to try it.

So we got there- no welcome drinks, no fruit platter. I guess because we booked using a
promo? No robes too and I didnt bother asking anymore. The room was smaller (compared to the de luxe at lake wing). The slippers are also paper thin- I don't recall them being that cheap looking! The duvet was also not fluffy and pillows were hard. Did they purposely put all their ugly and old beddings at the mountain wing because rate is php1,000 cheaper? I was so annoyed. I had a hard time sleeping I couldn't stop thinking of my duvets at home.

I am no jet setter, neither do I stay at Four Seasons when we go overseas but I know a good duvet/pillow because 1) I make sure we use good ones at home and 2) I sure have stayed at hotels with almost just the same rate but the beddings are at least 300-500 thread count. So when a local hotel charges a minimum of $180 for a night (heck for $200 you can stay at Park Lane HK which is right smack in the middle of Causeway Bay), you expect a little more.

So, despite my love for Taal Vista, I have to make sure that the next time we go, it has to be at least 50% off the rack rate so at least I don't feel cheated. Otherwise, it's probably best to just stay at a boutique hotel and go there for a coffee or wine just to enjoy their vista.

We went here for afternoon coffee, actually, I had a hot chocolate, my husband had coffee. I took one sip of my hot choco and I could make a much better cup of milo. What a total waste of P150. I was gonna regret this visit and gonna blame my husband for coming here instead of going to bag of beans but we were in total luck! The thing that totally saved this review was the cake pictured above. We were at the lobby having our drink when we saw our family friend. She gave us this Chocolate cake with cheesecake filling for us to take home for our NYE dinner. The cake was really moist and the frosting was fudgy, I think it was made of cocoa and condensed milk. The overall taste was not too sweet, and I almost finished the whole cake. But I am still disappointed with the hot choco. Tsk tsk.

The cool breeze and romantic ambiance makes the hotel the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway with your special someone. It's very close to nature and the view of the Taal volcano is magnificent! The spa services are also the best way to maximize your relaxing stay at Taal Vista Hotel :)

On top of that, the daily buffet (breakfast to dinner) is extensive and delicious. Although make sure to eat the food immediately because it easily gets cold and dry due to the weather.
