Restaurant offering authentic filipino cuisine located in Tagaytay overlooking Taal lake.

We had the following:

Tawilis - crispy fried, surprising not oily.
Sinigang na Bangus Belly - the soury soup with fresh bangus and vegetables
Inihaw na Liempo - cooked just right, but a bit bland maybe kulang sa marinating time or ingredients?
Ensaladang Talong with manga, kamatis at bagoong - just perfect!

Everything for 1200Php good for 4 persons, not bad for cost conscious like me. Serving time is quite fast though its not peak day.

food 5/5
price 4/5
ambiance 4/5 (it could get hot during noon time and there is no ceiling fan to cool you down, but not that it's needed since the place is situated in tagaytay)
staff 5/5

the place is spacious and there are many choices on the menu to choose from. They don't include their service charges on the receipt, however the price of the food was expensive if you're looking for an affordable restaurant

Its mother's day and all the restos in tagaytay are jam packed especially leslie's bulalohan. Good thing there's taaleña. I believe this place is better than the commercialized leslie's including the view which is also perfect. Their pinakbet tastes sooo good while the fried tawilis is so tasty and crunchy. Bulalo meat is also soft including the litid which is fall off the bone. Price ranges from 100-400php. They also have clean toilets and enough parking space. Service is also excellent.128076🏼

From the limited parking lot of the two-story restaurant, you can already see the Taal Volcaño which is a famous tourist spot in Tagaytay.

The crews started to give us a seat on the balcony and I’m so impressed about the view. It’s totally breathtaking in a way. So we went down to the lower floor and had our pictures taken on the mini park or garden there. Taal lake is so beautiful, and so is the volcano.

Taaleña is a Filipino restaurant. Included in their menu are bulalo, gambaz, different kinds of sinigang, sisig, and more. Almost every food that Filipinos love are available.

But here’s how the foods went…

The bulalo is not the ordinary bulalo that is pure “buto-buto”. I swear to you, it has a huge amount of meat I did not expect. From what anyone can buy in the Metro, this Bulalo from Taaleña is something more different.

The gambaz is spicy and it has a small serving.

Tito asked first if there will be anyone who will eat sisig, so I said yes because I love sisig to an unbelievable extent. But I was disappointed. Call me picky eater, but their sisig isn’t pleasing to the tongue. It pinches your taste buds but it can never please you.

The roasted chicken, and others that we ordered which were not worth remembering aren’t so special and a bit pricey for the taste. I can say that we paid the view through the food. There's really nothing extraordinary about the food.

There were also singers who accepts requests. They know a famous chinese song which my aunt requested. They play classic, mostly opm (if you have nothing to request), and those were relaxing while eating.

I cannot recommend you this place if you’re looking for good food, but for some fresh air and a beautiful view, this is a must.

Aside from the view, nothing's so special. The food was okay, but for me, a bit pricey for its taste. But it was relaxing, especially if you dine in their balcony.

My family calls this our 'secret place' away from the bustle of tourists in Tagaytay. You get yummy food, plus an amazing view of the Taal volcano, and it's not crowded for the most part.

We only went here last weekend to eat meryenda. I had buko salad and tsokolate sa tablea (this tasted superb!). Their brewed kapeng barako is also good for the really chilly Tagaytay weather. (Yes, it was chilly when we went here. I suggest going here at 4pm or so)

It should've been our Mother's day getaway that we visited this resto in Tagaytay. We were intrigued by so many people waiting to be seated. Since we were hungry, we decided to try it out. The area was spacious and the view made it very welcoming. Unfortunately, a lot of mistakes a resto should always address happened. Their service crew needs a re-training specially on being hygienic. They should know that in a resto this big should have enough manpower to cater the customers need. The food should be served hot. They should always remember which table ordered such entree to avoid numerous follow-ups and waiting time.

This is where I liked the ambience more than the food.

The restaurant is huge. Good for wedding receptions. Aileen P said perfect with a Filipiniana theme.

We chose to be seated with the lake's view at the far end. View was spectacular!

On to food. My mom wanted bulalo. I was liking soup because of my colds. Sisig was too spicy for me. Crispy tawilis was fresh and crispy. It was perfect with the ensaladang talong at mangga. The kids finished their rice with the pork bbq.

We were serenaded pa! They sang 2 songs and my son requested "Beauty and the beat". But they didn't know it.

It was a nice a dinner experience.
