After I heard that phrase, I was really excited to try it. Who wouldn't? This little garden cafe is prominent because of its Blue Ternate Flower Ice cream. For just 35 pesos, you'll have a cup of heaven. It tasted as great as it sounds.

This cute cafe is located behind the Molo mansion. Another special thing about it is its location, the place itself. Their tables are under the shade of a tall Balete tree. They also offer drinks like coffee and fruit juice. The place was really worth a visit.

I was fortunate enough to spend 4 days in Iloilo with my college friends, one of them being from there. It’s really very different when you’re visiting a place where you have someone you know well who knows the place well. Hehe

Our first day was spent on catching up and food trippin’! 128523

At first, we were catching up at my friends place but then she suggested we continue our kwento over coffee. We then headed for this gated property near the plaza, which was actually this place called the Molo Mansion, a restored heritage house. In the back of the house, you’ll find a garden café called Table Matters. Additionally, you’ll find another café in the back of the mansion, Café Panay (but more on that for another review).

We went for the garden café because the view of it was super enticing and of course the fresh air! Instead of coffee, most of us got their local dirty ice cream. It was a hot day, so ice cream was perfect. There was only one flavor, Bluternate, Vanilla ice cream infused with an edible flower. The piece of flower that they used as garnish tasted like leafy greens hehe, mapait. Buti nalang the ice cream didn’t reflect that same taste. For P35 a cup, like I always say, worth a try.

Overall, I liked this place, because I haven’t seen anything like it in Manila. I’d have to say though, the ambiance over the food.127811
