Taco Vengo is located near Uncle Moe's. You need to walk through an eskinita to reach the place. My sister and I had lunch here recently. I was supposed to order more food but decided to reserve some space for dessert.

On the table
🔹 Tempura Shrimp Standard Taco - a lot of things going on here. The crunchy shrimps and all the ingredients really went well together. I had to remove some of the stuff to be able to hold up the taco and take a bite.
🔹Honey Soy Chicken Salad - the sister was bent on getting her veggies. The contents were fresh but some of the chicken pieces were burnt. The dressing was a bit spicy.
🔹Iced Tea - I had to pass this off to my sister. It had an earthy herby taste which I don't particularly like.
🔹Chwaffle a la mode - so happy I left some room for dessert! The Chwaffle was fluffy and bland but when you eat it with the ice cream, dulce de leche and crunchy salty bits, it is just so delicious. It is an explosion of flavors and textures.

Looking forward to trying more of their stuff. Hopefully their Megamall branch will open soon.

*get the key from the counter if you need to use the restroom which is outside, just a few doors away. It was clean and had soap and tissue
**the Kapitolyo branch is moving soon, just a few streets away.

Hands down best order after many tries:

✅ Grilled Salmon Soft Taco
Review: very good balance of taste, flavor and ingredients. I suggest to get two! One serving is not enough.

Light lunch. Literally! I was intrigued in this place that it has 4 stars & up rating. They got tacos, burritos, quesadillas, rice bowls and variety of beers (interesting!) This place is also in a compound (where Diner @ 16th is located). The place is small, roughly it can accommodate 25 or less pax.

I got my self a taco.. Looks like its their specialty. I had Steak with orange chipotle rub (P145, for super taco or double tortilla) - it has lots of steak on cubes, has onions, chopped cilantro, and its mild spicy. Its good but I was expecting for bigger taco. Something that can satisfy my hunger. But boo! What I got is a taco smaller than a saucer128514

And for sharing we had:
Nachos for Machos(P160) it was served in a hot plate. It has has sunny side up egg on topped, chorizo, cheese. This one is good and good for sharing up to 3 pax

Verdict: taco was good, but serving is small. Plus its pricey. Not reasonable. Was able to see other people's order, rice meals and salad can be an option just in case i come back.

My 2 lunch buddies shared a standard taco tempura shrimp (P125) and quesadillas. Its good but same feesback: "bitin & pricey"

3rd Stop at Kapitolyo!

Hello Taco Vengo!

I have been looking forward to visit this place after reading all those positive reviews and seeing mouthwatering photos of tacos.

The place is part of the small compound where Nav, Diner's on 16th; United Coffee Ph, Casa armas and Longganisa Sorpresa are located. They have limited seating so be prepare to wait.. The restaurant does not alao have frontage, you could easily spot it thanks to its signage alongside the more established food stops.

Taco Vengo!'s menu is not that expensive but since I'm a newbie, I asked for recommendations and I was told that their best seller is the Shrimp Taco (PHP110 for 1 taco; PHP210 for 2 tacos) and cheese Quesadillas (Php160), we were informed by the crew that it is shareable, and we were shocked when it was served yay, I think its not shareable..Maybe the nachos machos (Php160) is shareable..

Food is yummy but it small servings!!!

Their shrimp soft tacos and Shrimp Bowl are to die for. The portions are small but each serving is packed and bursting with flavor.

The only downside is that the place is small. When packed with people, you'll have a difficulty having a conversation without shouting. It doesn't help that they try to mask the noise with music.

I am in love with tacos thus when Dennis O and Roland O decided to have a holiday eat-up in Kapitolyo, I eagerly suggested the much raved Taco Vengo. Stashed away behind NAV along Kapitolyo, TACO VENGO’s interior is simple yet has a cheery ambiance and can seat around 20 people.

Taco Vengo is starting to be a favorite because of the outsize flavor that they generate from their tiny footprints. Food they served are full-flavored, gently spiced, warm and comforting.

BLT (Bacon,Lengua,Tripe) Taco 128077128077
This is definitely my favorite; Lengua is ultra-tender and Bacon is flavorful and the tripe is well seasoned and has a chewy-crisp texture.

 Nachos por Machos 128536128536
Who will not love this Nacho topped with Chorizo, perfectly cooked egg, sour cream, cheese and caramelized onion? For the adventurous eater, try it with Habaniero Sauce to have a sweet spicy flavor. Serving size is small but the flavor is overly big that you can just ignore how small the serving is.

For the 1st stop of our holiday foodtrip last wednesday, Taco vengo! It is located on the same compound as Nav. This compound have converted old container van into a food hub. There are quite a choice in the area like the No Reservation, Crab Burger, United Coffee.

Taco vengo place is very small but they have an open table outside. The interior was simple white with some hint of mexican vibe. The place was jampacked but we were able to secure a table immediately.

We tried out the nachos por machos. It was tempting because of the toppings that include chorizo and a egg benedicts topping. The dish was so instagramable. Serving size was a little bit small than I've expected. Served in a sizzling pan. It taste great and love the creaminess of the egg that blends well with the nachos. Just wished it would have more topping on it.

The next order was the BLT Taco! Bacon Lengua Tripe! Wow this might be one of the most delicious tacos I've tasted. Love the smokey burnt taste of the bacon. Lengua and tripe texture and taste was so good. Now to make it taste more good is their own habiniero hotsauce. Love the sweet spicy taste of that sauce. They are also going to sell bottle of this hot sauce soon.

Overall love the place and that BLT tacos is really worth coming back!128522

While waiting to fetch my wife from work yesterday, I decided to try one of the restaurants she told me about in the area.

The place cannot be seen from the road because it is located inside the corridor at the back of other restaurants. I was in fact surprised to see a number of decent dining places and bars inside.

Taco Vengo specializes in Mexican food. Tacos, buritos, quesadillas and the like. It also offers several brands of foreign beers.

I decided to try to try one of their best sellers, the pig cheeek comfit burrito. It was quite interesting because unlike the common burrito, it had a crunchy feeling which tasted like lechon. When I opened the burrito, I saw bits of the cheek of the pig which was roasted to crispy perfection. The size of the burrito was just right but it was a bit difficult to eat since it was not tightly wrapped so the fillings would usually spill out. Nonetheless, the taste was very good.

You can never go wrong with hole-in-the-wall Mexican food found in the side streets of Kapitolyo. Taco Vengo has recently been gaining audience because of the delicious food they serve in their quaint space– a container van turned restaurant.

I, for one, am a huge fan of their Tempura Burrito—the burrito's fillings are well-distributed which allows you a taste of everything. Their shrimp is seasoned well and the rice flavor is not overwhelming. This burrito can be shared by two if you still plan on ordering other things from their glow in the dark menu.

Their Grilled Salmon soft taco is also a medley of flavors that explodes in your mouth in every bite. One order of the soft taco is simply not enough, but I highly recommend ordering a different variant for your second serving.

If I'm not mistaken, their iced tea is brewed fresh everyday. So if you are a fan of the light and refreshing taste of tea, this drink is worth the try!

Taco Vengo can be found in the promenade of restaurants across Ace Water Spa. It is in the same building as Ilocos Empanada.

Ever since my office moved to Fort, I hardly get to visit Kapitolyo, my favorite foodie haven. But thanks to the long weekend, I got to visit this lovely area again and managed to visit not just one but three stops. Our first stop was the raved taco place named Taco Vengo!

Hello, Taco Vengo!

I have been looking forward to visit this place after reading all those positive reviews and seeing mouthwatering photos of tacos. And the place being Instagram-worthy makes it even more irresistible.

The place is part of the small compound where Nav and Longganisa Sorpresa are located. Though the restaurant does not have frontage, you could easily spot it thanks to its signage alongside the more established food stops.

Taco Vengo!'s menu is not that extensive but since I'm a newbie, I asked for recommendations and I was told that their best seller is the Shrimp Taco (PHP110 for 1 taco; PHP210 for 2 tacos). I ordered two of that and one Steak Taco (PHP110) and Cheese Quesadillas (PHP120). I was tempted to make my steak taco into a rice bowl but the server said that their fillings are best served with soft tacos. The place has the word "taco" in its name after all. I also got a glass of house blend iced tea while my sister went with a can of soda.

First served was the saddest looking quesadilla I have ever seen. It was so flat and it looked like it was just a piece of folded thick tortilla.

And it tasted just like pita. The cheese filling was too mild and there was a very, very faint taste of cheese. The sour cream helped give a bit more flavor though.

My iced tea arrived next and it tasted...weird. It had a strong herb-y taste which I didn't like at all.

Next served were the shrimp and steak taco.

They only served one shrimp taco instead of two and I didn't bother to correct it anyway thinking that the server just got the quantity wrong. But after tasting it, I sort of regretted not calling the server's attention.

The shrimp (or tempura) taco deserves to be named as Taco Vengo!'s best seller. It was a delightful mix of textures and flavors. I loved how the softness of the taco created a wonderful contrast with the crunchy shredded vegetables, flakes and tempura (which seemed to be more of camaron rebusado). It was salty with a tinge of sweetness from the veggies. Adding a bit of lemon juice gave the dish a nice zest, a wonderful addition to most seafood.

The steak taco, which has chipotle, is not mild at all. It was spicy! But it was the spicy yet bland type so I looked for sauce to pair it with and I spotted a bottle of sauce that claims to go well with everything. I accidentally poured more than I wanted and instead of trying to pat my steak dry of the sauce, I just let it be and took another bite. It was way better but I turned red because it made my taco spicier. At least it tasted a lot better.

To kill the spice, I finished the quesadillas and sour cream in less than 1 minute.

After finishing our meals, I asked for the bill and I was actually billed for two shrimp tacos. To prove that I didn’t get the second one, I showed a photo of our orders. The server said that the second taco is being prepared (riiiiiight) but since my sister and I were ready to move to our next stop, I asked the server to just cancel it and deduct it from my bill. The server complied without any hesitation.

Not sure if I’ll head back here as the only one I liked was the shrimp taco. I heard though that the nachos are great. Perhaps I’ll give it a second chance.

Went to this place last night after an intense workout with boyfie and officemate.
The place was cozy and good as a chill out place after work. 9786
We ordered Savory Mushroom and Tofu Super Taco, Grilled Salmon Super Taco and Pork Cheek Fit Super Taco. You're wondering what's the difference between their regular taco and the super one? Just an extra pita bread. 128517 Their servings are good for one. The prize range of their Super Tacos are from 120 to 135 pesos. But good heavens! Their tacos are heavenly. Mine is the grilled salmon. The combination of red veggies, lemon, parsley and the salmon itself is mouthwatering and will keep you wanting for more. Too bad its just an after workout meal, so we need some control hahahaha! The Savory mushroom and tofu taco was great as well. It has sour cream on top which gives a kick and indeed a savory taste. I highly recommend these three tacos. Definitely satisfying and savory!! 128523
Can't wait to come back here and try their nachos and quesadillas 128523128079🏻128513
