Perfect for sudden cravings but not willing to spend more than 350 for a bowl of hot ramen.

Paid 400+ for Gyoza with cabbage and Ramen. I was puzzled when I saw the raw garlic on the table since there is no garlic crusher or whatever. I was too lazy to ask so I just ate my ramen in peace. Lol

My colleagues and I had our dinner yesterday after our Work. Every time I eat here, I always order the Chamen ramen, it is a tonkatsu based soup which I really like. It has portions of pork, squid, fish cakes, cabbage and corn. I added a tomago egg which cost 45 pesos to add more flavor to the ramen. We also ordered the pork and beef gyoza.

My rating: 4 stars

Well I'm a foodie and a fan of Japanese cuisine. Here at Taisho what I admire most is their noodles. So fresh. That's what makes ot extra special. But it is lacking maybe a bit more flavor.

Will never order their Tendon again. Will choose Hanamaruken over Taisho instead 128531

Repost due to picture not uploaded, cannot edit it maybe because its still new in Android.

Anyway, this is my first time to eat ramen and I loved it. Karamen is spicy but taste great. My son loved it too.

Service is good, and its budget friendly.

Gonna be back soon.

Gonna be back here.

I like their hakata tonkotsu ramen! I admit that it's not as grand as Ramen Nagi's but it will actually do when I just want a bowl while on a budget. It cost me 270 + service charge so it set me back at around 290+.

The ramen was simple yet full of flavor. By simple I mean sort of skimping on the toppings like chashu and egg. It's weird how I liked that because at that time, I just wanted my ramen to be straight to the point--that is, noodles and broth alone. I find that I can also easily slurp the noodles, which is always a big plus for me. They weren't soft but they were thinner than the other ramen stores' noodles and also firm till the last slurp.

The place is quiet and cozy. Service is also good. Thanks to them as well because they accommodated me at 9pm. I wasn't the last customer though!! I'm not going gaga over the ramen but I like it. I'll probably come back here if my friends ask for a ramen place that's not as expensive as Ramen Nagi, Hokkaido, etc.

Ordered Tonatsu Teppanyaki, it was so bland plus the staff is not attentive and is not nice. Wala ako masabi maganda, nakakalungkot.

The ramen broth is so good! Filling and flavorful but not too overwhelming :) noodles are perfectly cooked. The experience was overall satisfying. :)

P.S. The red pepper powder is 10084

Never thought that they serve good Ramen.

Had the Karamen it's one of their best seller and ordered additional egg. The color itself seems to signify how spicy it is. They have 3levels (spicy, medium, deadly). Ordered the deadly one to try. But I think it's only medium 128540 they have cayenne and spicy oil which you can add.

The noodles are firm just the way that I prefer and broth is great, it's not that soupy type because it's thick. They also have red ginger and garlic which you can crush on your broth. 128077

Service was good, staff were accommodating. must try if you are at SM North Edsa.

Had a late dinner at Taisho Ramen. Upon waiting for a table this critics wifey noticed a pic board of celebrities. Ordered dice beef steak (P499) which was difficult to chew, Katsudon (P270) which was good enough and the humongous Ebi Fry (P295) which tastes better with the dip. As a stand alone dish without the sauce it would have been somewhat forgettable. Buko shake (P115) was refreshing. We were pressed for time since we wanted to catch Penguins (surprisingly funny) from the beginning. It took forever just to get the bill and have our 2 leftovers. It's frustrating to see a staff do something else (especially when you're in a rush with a kid eager to watch) instead of attending to your needs. Not an impressive showing in terms of service, food was alright. No wonder some of the customers on the pictures didn't seem too enthusiastic. For the price and painful service charge, not really worth going back for the said reasons. It's saddening because their food wasn't all that bad, the experience did.

Tonkotsu Ramen was nice. The broth was very rich and the noodles were perfect. The toppings were a bit on the conservative side and the gyoza felt like it was left on the steamer for too long before it was fried because the wrapper easily came apart when I picked it up. Also, it was toooo hot. My girlfriend had scalded the roof her mouth! So take good caution!

September 8, 2014 Monday
50% off on ALL RAMEN until September 10, 2014 (Anniversary Promo)
REMINDER: No Takeouts on promo dates

After errands, went to SM North to avail the promo. Ok, waiting time since I enlisted my name, 1hr and 15mins (635-750pm) (the good thing was you can stroll the mall and you're still a priority when your name got called if you're not in the area. Just remind the girl in charge of the reservations. She's really nice and very approachable. If you're super hungry and cannot wait, remember it's a promo.

Since I sat down took me 5mins to order. Serving time: 5mins for gyoza, and another 10mins for the CHAMEN. Im happy with the fast service.

Ordered the pricey one, CHAMEN P355 (P177 50%+SC), a big bowl of pork broth with pork strips, can't really find the squid in there, naruto, veggies, corn and soft noodles.
It was OK for me but for the price it was worth it. Could finish all the veggies but already ate 4 pcs of Gyoza P95 (which I enjoyed every bite!) and half of strawberry black tea.

This was my second time here, and I like their Miso Ramen and the spicy Ramen (forgot the name).

Free & fast WIFI, service with a smile, fast transaction, free inhouse tea, enjoyable dinner inspite of the waiting time. I love promo!

Salad with tofu was so so. The tofu was bland and colder than the rest of the ingredients. not not sure if this is how it's supposed to be.

The tonkotsu was okay, nothing special.

What i liked best were the gyoza.

Servers were quite okay.

Nothing to rave about this place.

This may sound different....
I ate tonkatsu on a ramen house!
Hihi!128539128539128539

I was craving for tonkatsu after a looong traffic at EDSA... so I went straight to sky garden and search for a japanese restaurant.

At the end of the strip, i saw TAISHO RAMEN hoping they serve tonkatsu too...
There's a group of people outside waiting to be seated cause their place is too small!

Perks of eating alone!
I was able to get a seat first without waiting. Came in as if I'm a VIP! Lol
( it happens all the time when I eat alone)

Since I prefer Pho than Ramen., i asked the lady for any meal that comes with tonkatsu. So she recommended their tonkatsu teppanyaki set.,

After 10-15mins., came the crispy golden katsu on a sizzling plate with all the side dish 9786

Bean sprouts (i dont eat at all)
Miso soup (not a fan of it) 128077128077
Baked potato and corn on cob 128077128077128077128077128077
Japanese rice with black sesame seed 128077128077128077128077
Cabbage strips 128077128077128077
(Better if not placed on the sizzling plate)
The tonkatsu is ok its crispy and tender 128077128077128077128077128077

Overall it was ok.,
Though Still, YABU for katsu... 128521

The place is really small which i hate cause The lady beside me keeps on complaining on serving time and she's almost yelling near my ear! 128544128545128548
Servers keep on bumping on my table as they pass by...
Too small.

If ever I come back, I'll try their ramen.

Taisho shares how to enjoy a good ramen. If you follow the process, you'll definitely enjoy it. Miso Ramen is love! How I love its texture and flavor. Matcha is great do!

Will definitely go back here. I love their playlist to.

Bonus? House tea!
