In Luzon, we have Cloud 9 Antipolo to overlook the whole Ortigas awesome night view; in Mindanao, we have sky ridge to overlook the whole Davao city!

Taklobo has quite good service and food, make sure reserve to get best seat for the view :)

Dine with a view. That was touted here at Jack's Ridge. Gotta say the view was great in that you could see all (most) of Davao, but in all honesty, there isn't much to view. The food here is adequate and the staff very accommodating. We ordered Kinilaw and Sweet & Sour Lapu Lapu along with the obligatory rice. The Kinilaw was standard. Good, but not extraordinary. The Sweet & Sour Lapu Lapu was much anticipated by my wife and I but fell short. It seems they take the meat off the fish, dip it in batter, then deep fry it, although the texture and crispness (or lack thereof) were more reminiscent of baking. Also, the oil or whatever they used to "fry" it in tasted like most mall food courts here in the Philippines smells like. It's hard to explain in words but there is a distinct aroma that comes with food court food, and this dish reeked of it. The meat that was still stuck on the skeletal remains of the fish were much more tastier than the nuggets they chose to deep fry. The preparation cheapened the dish and they would be well-served to skip that part and just deep fry the entire fish and serve it that way instead. Overall, I don't think we'll be returning here to dine, but again I guess the real draw is the view.

I don't find anything special about the place except for the view which btw was like tagaytay minus the cold wind. 128531 we ate at around 7pm. we waited like 20mins for our food to be served, there are flying insects around.

the food was a so-so, we ordered mixed seafood for P300 and got disappointed (3 squid balls, 4 clamps, head of a shrimp, 2-3 chunks of tuna and squid in a white sauce) they said it was good for 2. 128553

so we bought additional viand, we got gambas. it was okay gerry's grill gambas is better.

i love the mango shake. it was like a milk shake mango flavor. the coconut juice is not frozen when served but you can ask the waiter to cut it into half after drinking so you can eat the coconut meat. 128513128077

spent almost 800 pesos for 2persons.
