Located along the streets of Rodriguez in Rizal, the restaurant, Tanayan, got its name from the town's name, Tanay.

Tanayan is a very Filipino looking resto with its traditional structure made of faded wood, matched with wooden tables and chairs that imitate a traditional looking Filipino home from centuries ago.

It was after eating street foods when we decided to just hang-out there and try their Halo-halo. Abbey told me that it's really yummy and affordable with its price of 50php.

Tanayan's Halo-halo was as simple as it could be. With beans, pinipig, ube ice cream, gulaman, and leche flan, it's as straightforward as it could get but the ingredients paired with generously poured milk made it really enjoyable to eat for me.

If you're looking for a staple Pinoy dessert that would make your tastebuds and tummy happy, this is wort trying.

Aside from their halo-halo, their menu has so much Pinoy food to offer that I would definitely try when I come back.
