I'd say this is my 2nd choice for Hainanese Chicken. I like the sauce included with it and you can request additional sauce if needed. I usually mix all the 3 sauces together and dip the hainanese chicken in it. On top of it, its boneless. Yum yum!

They also have a promo with their steamed suahe. They have a 50% off promo running these days!

Everything we ordered were delicious! The servers were so accommodating and gave us the best recommendations. We even had another order of sweet & sour pork and spicy squid because we finished it in a couple of minutes. We were so full as we left the restaurant.

Family dinner here at Tao Yuan. I think we'll be spending our family dinners here at Tao Yuan a lot because our Amah (lola from my husband's side) lives just across the mall. Not complaining though. Tao Yuan serves good Chinese food. Although we'd definitely miss some old time favorites from the Chinese resto in Escolta we used to fequent. We're a party of 14 today, and as usual our family ordered a lot of food. What I liked most about today's banquet was the hot chicken and prawn salad, the chicken soup, the wrapped peking duck and the stuffed chicken. Too bad the only good picture I was able to take was that of the roast chicken and steamed chicken. I had a hard tome taking photos of the food because there were 14 of us and everybody just grabs food as soon as the server delivers it at our table. I'll definitely be coming back to this place again real soon bec we just booked this place for another gathering Dec and another one in Feb.

It was angkong's birthday and we decided to celebrate his birthday here at Lucky Chinatown Mall for a change (because we usually celebrate it at Crowne Restaurant in Escolta). We ordered a set menu plus additional 4 more items. We are a big group.

To start with we had the birthday noodles. Most of is find this a bit matabang but I liked it because it was perfect for my daughter. Not too salty and firm noodles. My daughter really enjoyed it.

Other items we ordered that I liked were the curry fish, it's a Chinese-Singaporean dish, i love curry and it tasted like lemongrass but most of the family did not enjoy this. I guess they want a typical Chinese dish. Taro with prawn was ok, the steamed crab was a bit small than what I'm used to. I liked the cold cuts, especially the asado.

This branch is always full, maybe because it's a small branch. I find Tao Yuan to be a good Chinese Resto although it's a little expensive.

Okay here's a thing, pubs and bars have this thing called "happy hour" wherein they tend to sell their drinks at a very low price at around 2pm-6pm or so due to the low demand during those hours, well if you pass by binondo beyond 9pm, they also adapt this "happy hour" practice, they sell their dimsum for half the price and even their ala carte dishes at a lower price.

It just so happens we were strolling around lucky chinatown mall and we were trying to decide where to eat, apparently we passed by tao yuan and we saw their promo ad on their window display, 50% of on dimsum during 2-5pm and 9-11pm, we looked at our watches and it was like past 4pm so we decided to have our early dinner there, i couldn't seem to remember which dimsum dishes we ordered, all i can say is that it tastes good, but its just like the typical chinese dimsum quality taste, nothing special really, but yeah it was worthl a try. However, i don't recommend trying their egg tart, i don't if it was just a glitch but our egg tart was tastless, it was hand made and fresh from the oven and the smell was oh-so appealling but when i took a bite i couldn't seem to taste anything, too bad.

Election Day Pig-Out! 128055 Have you voted yet? 128070

We went to Lucky Chinatown Mall for a lunch-out with my granddad. We had the usual dishes such as the Cold Cuts, Steamed Lapu-Lapu, Beef Brisket and Seafood Rice.

My favorites were the Polunchay with Century Egg - it was something different from all the Chinese restos and dishes we've tasted; and the Hainanese Chicken - I'm a sucker for this dish especially the ginger sauce, he he.

Staff was hospitable and considering today's a holiday, the place was not as packed. 128077

We also got a complimentary dessert - Mango Sago, typical Chinese dessert but always refreshing! 128076

For Chinese food lovers out there, they have a promo of 50% off on dimsum from 2 - 5 PM. 128522

I said before that i didn't want to go back to lucky chinatown mall because of the horrible traffic right? this time i had no choice! Last thursday, i had to meet our supplier from china and he wanted to meet at tao yuan lucky chinatown mall. I was late because as usual traffic was very bad. it got even worse on my back to the office! What is hopeless?

When i arrived our food was already there. Some of them were not familiar to me. I only knew the hainanese chicken, cereal prawn, spinach soup and lapu lapu with mango. They are also the usual dishes that we order when we dine at tao yuan. I usually love them but they tasted differently in this branch. Maybe because they have a different chef, we usually go to the one at resorts world. It's better there but the place was perfect for a lunch meeting because there were only a few people dining and it was not noisy. I also have to give them credit for the free wifi because not a lot of chinese resto's have it.
