I really love kare-kare that I couldn't help to get it even if I just had it the other day. But this one was a bit of a disappointment, it was a far cry from what I had on the other branch. Maganit the beef. The serving was really big though.

on my way back to my tita's house in Boni Ave. yesterday , i passed by here like I used to be after trying to get my voters I.D (though I failed again , this time cause it's not yet available),
some call center agent recruiter are littered near tapa king, and one of them invited me if I wanted to try to apply, (of course I do, my dream job) , and I nod as sign that I agree , so she took me inside tapa king to be interviewed by Miss Elaine, the girl who conduct initial interview I guess,.

Let's make it short..after I passed the interview , she asked me to sit in other chair, bec. there's another who will be interviewed, so I told her that I will just buy drink for a while , while she's interviewing,
I just ordered the regular Ice tea for 30 ,. their ice tea is really good, then I go back to my sit.. after she finished interviewing the other applicant who unfortunately didn't passed maybe, she asked me if ordered my meal, I just nod and said , yes, pero drink lang pampalipas oras, then she said she would buy me meal, (for free,,wow! how generous they are) and she really did,.one of the staff just suddenly put meal infront of me followed by a bottled water,. then I started eating ,she ordered me beef steak , and wow, just wow!! I love their beef steak, feels like home eating my favorite dish cooked by my cousin in law... then ms.elaine came near me, and I invited her to eat with me , and thanked her aswell for treating me and she just smiled and nod and told me sige kain ka muna habang hinihintay namin yung shuttle na maghahatid sa akin sa main branch nila sa centris... so after I eat I sit a little while waiting and when the van arrived she escorted me to the van until I get inside.. and said goodluck before she close the van..

thanks to Ms. Elaine for that meal, i appreciated it..

Tapantastic! My takbuhan when I'm alone! I can eat here alone when I don't have food buddy, dinner afterwork, alone in the condo, and when i'm so so lazy to walk to look for food, because this is just in our condo ground. The food was kinda expensive, and not so worth it. But my fave was their tapa king with sunny side up egg And garlic rice 10084

I was surprised when I found out that Tapa Express is no longer included in their menu. That's what I always order! Anyway, I ordered Tapantastic instead which is 99 pesos but is almost the same with Tapa Express (60+ pesos) except the cut is bigger but I think that the grams are almost the same, only different cut. Di rin naman ako nabusog. Haiii

Tapsilog is the term used when tapa (dried or cured beef), sinangag (garlic fried rice), and itlog (egg) are combined into one meal. The word was said to have been coined in the 1980s by the famous Tapsi ni Vivian in Marikina.

Since the late 1980s, Tapa King has been the go-to place for cheap but delicious tapsilog. I would remember going to my Mom's office in Makati during summer holidays and I would always ask her to buy tapsilog for lunch. I'd also ask her to buy a glass of sweet banana. Every single time, I would be in Tapa King heaven.

Over the years, it has faced stiff competition from other great tapsilog places such as Rufo's and Sinangag Express.

Today, Tapa King is still one of my go-to places for a quick tapsilog fix. I just noticed that the portions have become smaller and the flavor of the tapa has become a bit "watered down".

It's still good, though.
