My sister has been craving a lot of cuisines recently. This time, she asked me to take her to Taqueria 101, a small Mexican joint along Better Living in Paranaque. I promised to take her there on a Sunday afternoon, where we had our early dinner with my brother.

|ELOTE P180
Grilled corn on the cob, Chipotle mayo, Katsuboshi, Parmesan. They serve the elote on the cob, but they will ask you if you want it shredded instead. Since we didn't want an added struggle to eating the corn (plus so we can share it without being laway conscious), we just had it served shredded. I've had a lot of elote since it became popular in Manila, and this isn't the best by far. It lacked the spice, plus the chipotle mayo sauce can do better.

|NACHO SPAM FRIES P280
Spam fries coated in crushed, colorful nacho chips, served with a dip. It took time for me to decide on how I really felt about Taqueria 101's Spam fries. It's not something you'll like or hate on the first bite. Same goes on whether I liked it with the dip or not. The nacho chips tasted a bit weird around the Spam, which made me decide that dipping it on the sauce is a must. Other than that, I found this to be an okay dish.

|TACO (PROMO) P250
5 flavors of soft tacos in one plate. The flavors include shawarma, ox tail, fish, lengua, and chicken. My favorite, and probably the one thing I'd like to come back for, is the ox tail soft taco. The flavors of the meat plus the sauce, cilantro and lime combined goes so well together.

|SPICY TUNA HARD TACO P170
I didn't get a taste of this, but for the sake of documenting the whole experience, I'm including the photo on this post. It tasted okay according to my sister.

We all found the food in Taqueria 101 to be okay. Some of the dishes were good, but we did not experience anything with a wow factor. However, since I loved the oxtail soft taco from Taqueria 101, I'm planning on trying out their oxtail burrito on my next visit, since this is also a highly recommended dish. While I'm at it, I'll probably try their churros as well.

The open face quesadilla is ftw. It will surely fill you up and make you full.

The savory of the pepperoni and chorizo, sweetness of the balsamic cream, freshness of the pico de gallo and the saltiness of the mixed cheese is perfection in every bite. Top it up with some habanero hot sauce or sriracha (if you are adventurous like me mix it both) just brings out the flavor even more. Garnish with some fresh cilantro just blends in nicely (requested this instead of the arugula and no regrets)

Their menu is really tempting, from your nachos to your quesadillas to tacos to churros and your main dishes. Talk about your mexican cravings satisfied. Cant wait to try the other foods they have.

Last Sunday night, me and a couple of my friends were talking about Deadpool and suddenly we're craving for chimichangas. Hence, we went to Taqueria 101 since we saw on their FB page that they are serving chimichangas off the menu. Got to say cravings accomplished, I haven't tried chimichangas before but technically its like a deep fried burrito and Taqueria 101's version is somehow what I actually expected full of flavor with a kick of spice. By the way, we also tried their Nachos Fundido and it tastes like pizza which is I think the cheese really killed it in a good way. For sure I'll go back to this place for more.

Please take a few moments of your time to look at this glorious image of nachos with heaping mounds of melted cheese. Life couldnt get any better!

Taqueria 101 opened a few back in our village slowly booming to become like its close neighbor bf homes. Was finally able to try this out with the family after easter salubong! Place is a little small but the service, ambience and the extensive food choices make up for the small space.

I really cant recall all of the things we ate, but I definitely recommend trooping to this place if you want to have a fill of very unique mexican dishes. They're open til 1am and serve drinks as well. 128522

Welcome addition to the neighborhood. The Shawarma soft taco and the Angus taco were delicious. The burger looks good but kinda small. Place is nice but kinda tight. Good for those midnight snacks.

A nice find in the street of Doña Soledad. This new mexican place is worth the visit. The place is quite small and usually packed during weekends. I love the mexican wall painting and the chopping board menu.
We tried their Nachos, Mushroom Zucchini Flower Tlayudas and Ox Tail Soft Taco.

128205Nachos - Love the big serving. If you are a cheese lover you'll love the generous serving cheese. The cheese, cream and queso blend well to make this nacho a favorite.

128205Tlayudas - this one is like a pizza. An open face type of quesadilla. I also love this dish. A healthy kind of mushroom dish. Love the sweet flavor of the balsamic crema sauce drizzle on the dish.

128205Ox Tail Soft Taco - This is my favorite. Good blend of softness of Ox tail and crunchiness of the chicharon. Taste really good. A must try!

Overall this place is a must visit place when having a foodtrip in bicutan. 9786128077
