Binondo's Chinatown Food Crawl

2nd Stop: Tasty Dumplings

After eating brunch at Cafe Mezzanine in Ongpin Street I walked few meters to reach my next destination. I enter the small restaurant called Tasty Dumplings.

Tasty Dumplings looks like a house, arranged the ground level to turned into a small restaurant. Jam-packed and most of the customers were students when I visited the place.

I tried the dumplings for Php95.00 and requested that half of it will be fried.

After 5 minutes my dumplings arrived...

Tasty Dumplings is located at Norberto Ty Street, Chinatown, Binondo, Manila

Usually when I visit Binondo, I would go to Wai Ying but we decided to go to Tasty Dumplings instead. We immediately got seated upon arriving at lunchtime. I ordered the spareribs with noodles since I wanted to try something different and the last time I visited I ordered the porkchop.

Plus points for them because the porkchop arrived in less than 5 minutes! Mine was served a few minutes after. The spareribs were OK but the noodles were really good. Damn. 128539 Really affordable food. I also got dalanghita juice! 128076🏻

Gigantic porkchop rice for just php125!!! Service was quick too What i appreciate here is the consistency. The recipe hasn't changed and the quality is still the same throughout the years.

Found in the less-frequented area of Binondo, Tasty Dumplings is a small Chinese eatery which offers a variety of dumplings, noodles, and rice meals.

I ordered the famous porkchop with tossed noodles. It didn't let me down. The porkchop was rather large, and the serving of the noodles was a lot (for me). Anothet plus side is its affordability. This is what I like about food tripping in Binondo.

These fried kuchays made our Japanese friends go WOW. It was perfectly crispy and oilless for sure! I swear it is a must try as much as this restaurant itself.

My friends loved their breaded pork chops which was humungous, by the way, and I heard the Japs slurping happily their beef and kuchay noodles.

The place may be small and not so neat but I can say everything we ordered was delicious and we left Chinatown very satisfied.

I'd like to come back the soonest!

Lacking 1 star - ambiance, crowded.

My fave is the soya milk, so yummy!128523

Tasty Dumpling's Pork Chop is as big a dinning plate. It goes either with Rice or Soup with Noddle. You will loved Hogma (It's like Pork Humba) with Silver Roll Bread (Steam or Fried). Try also their Winter Melon Juice.

Eating is where I get my comfort. Aside from the current best seller of pork chop, it was really good when you taste the dumplings and also the tasty hot beef noodles, really warming and the fried dumpling are really good and crunchy.

Value for money and quite friendly for people on a budget. I will definitely go back here again. 128077128522

have tried the porkchop, kutchay dumpling, dumpling noodle, and the dalandan juice. was not a fan of the porkchop which looks big but too thin, maybe im not into sweets (it has a sweet sauce). though i liked their dumpling better than dong bei.

My bestfriend and I went to eat at Tasty Dumplings after having our novena at the church nearby. We ordered their best sellers, Porkchop noodles, Spareribs noodles, and kuchay dumplings along with Wintermelon Juice. Their food was great!! We're definitely going back there! 128522 127836

Our last food stop for the day!128513

Too bad that Dong Bei had too many patrons, so we decided to skip that stop and just head on over to Tasty Dumplings... Irony time, since despite its name, this place is known for their pork chops!!!127835127860

When the pork chop order came, you will already see that it was enormous! Panis ang Hot Star!11088️ My bf and I shared an order, which came with rice and some veggies... Sarap with toyo na may kasamang chili! Samahan mo pa ng Wintermelon juice on the side!128077 panalo talaga!128077 plus it was my first time to try hongma paired with silver bread roll... It was novel and good! The bread was super soft and the meat was very tender and flavorful!128079 galing nung pairing! Another must try!128077

At dahil frustrated kami na hindi nakapunta sa Dong Bei, we also ordered their kuchay dumplings... Sorry pero hindi siya tasty dumplings IMO... If based on this dish alone, they would be called Okay Lang Dumplings. Dong Bei's version is way better. Skip the dumplings here and just order the hypertension inducing pork chop!128513

Great way to end our tour, as this place is a stone's throw away from Binondo church where we started... 128522

This was not my first time in Binondo and it will definitely not be the last! Try the culinary delights Chinatown has to offer!128077128077128077

Pork chop the best! To make sure the pork absorb the marinated sauce before frying it, the resto have each slice pukpok to its thinnest and most malapad way, then simple coating, yes, yum to the max!

Their sauce is magic! It suits every food there ;) u can use it for pork chop, for dumplings, for soup, simple word, for everything!

The soup in the pic is the meat ball soup ;) anything special of it? Well, I just simply look for some Taiwan taste ;) the meat ball is solid (d lasang gawgaw) and they use fried onion leaves and parsley to bring out the best of its broth ;) yum!

Too full to order the soya milk or wintermelon juice hehe ;) but u can consider any of it next time if u come to visit ;)

Ordered porkchop with tossed noodles, and the insanely deadly-cious Silver bread roll topped with super malambot na Hongma. Haha! Solb men!

PS: ang sarap ng free soup nila. I don't know why? Siguro dahil free? Haha kidding. Masarap talaga.

Aside from the famous porkshop, Tasty Dumplings' HongMa paired with the Silver Roll bread is not to be missed.
