Every after our dentist appointment, Tasty Dumplings has become a default choice for lunch since this place has been a childhood favorite for us 128149

PORKCHOP RICE [P125] 1108811088110881108811088
Even in the past, I have always debated whether to get porkchop rice or dumpling rice. But I thought, why not just order porkchop rice then have the dumplings as a side dish? Then I praised myself, good thinking 128527

I love their pork chop as the breading is very thin and crunchy. It's very big in terms of the area size but thin. Personally, I like these types of meat more since they are easy to slice and consume. I always dip it in their sweet and salty sauce because it seals all the flavors together. Yum!128069

*All rice dishes come with a free bowl of soup. Yay!128077🏻

PORKCHOP NOODLES [P125] 110881108811088
My sister prefers the pork chop noodles but I find the noodles and soup to be bland. Plus, I was craving for rice that day.

DUMPLINGS (8 PCS) [P95] 1108811088110881108811088
Dumplings are available in steamed and fried. But obviously we got the fried one because we can. Let's worry about health when we reach our 30s. Although you can request half to be fried and half to be steamed. Anyway, the dumplings are perfectly fried to crisps. It's just a must order whenever we visit.

SOYA MILK
To quench our thirst, we always order their soya milk to seal the deal!

Food was excellent, especially for the price. But don't expect too much on the place since it looks like a fast food restaurant. We will definitely be coming back as we always do.

This was our 1st stop for our Binondo Foodtrip led by Lark C and Ruth D.

Teemee T and i decided to order an ala carte pork chop which was one of their best sellers. For 99 pesos, you get a huge pork chop. Not bad eh?

The pork chop was easy to slice, the breading was not that thick. You can also dip it into their sweet sauce for a richer flavor but I liked eating it just as is. I think it goes well with rice. The pork chop was huge in terms of lenght but was not thick.

Service...well it's a chinese restaurant in binondo...we are just here for the food :D they don't have service charge anyway!

We, Lark C. and Chachi L., met with Rachel T. and the rest of the food tour group at LCM after our accidental first stop. 128518 We didn't really have an itinerary so I just checked looloo for the nearest restaurant outside the mall and found Tasty Dumplings.

We ordered their famous pork chop with noodle soup. How ironic, no dumpling was ordered. Well, our friends ordered but the server forgot about it. Anyway... the noodle soup had no taste but you could season it with the condiments that are on the table. Not sure what they were but they worked. The pork chop was huge in width but it was thinly sliced. The batter wasn't too thick so no problem cutting or chewing it. Tasted good but it was a little sweet.

Service was meh, but I didn't really expect much.

Second Stop of our Binondo Food Crawl.

It was raining when we started our food crawl, so Ruth D decided to go to a nearby place from our jump off point which was Lucky Chinatown. Though their name says Tasty Dumplings, their bestseller is the Porkchop. Lark C , Ruth and I decided to divide the food that we will order to save space for the other food that we shall taste during the next stops.

Our order was the Porkchop and Noodles with Soup. The porkchop was humungous and we didn't have a hard time splitting it into three since it can definitely feed us due to its size. The size was big but I expected kore flavor from it but it wasn't that bad at all. While the noodles had an odd mustasa topping but it wasn't bad either, I just needed more saltiness from the soup as it tasted bland. They have special sauces in the tables that you can use to mix and match to capture that taste that you might be looking for.

What I liked most is the spareribs ordered by one of my friends. It has the right amount of saltiness and sweetness and the beef was soft. If ever I would come back to this place, I will considering ordering that one.

Sadly, the dumplings that my friend ordered never came and the servers were not that accommodating enough when we asked for utensils. I think they need to improve on that as well.

Another trip down to Chinatown means a visit to Tasty Dumplings!! 128525

During my last visit, my friend ordered the Porkchop Tossed Noodles and I was very much intrigued about its taste... Ever since I was a kid, I either went for rice or the noodle soup, but never the tossed noodles. So this a new discovery for me. 128514128586

My complain with the noodle soup, even way before, is that the noodles don't have any flavor. But the tossed noodles solves that issue!!! 128525 The tossed noodles are served on a plate with some sauce underneath the noodles. Soup is served separately like the rice meal. Porkchop are still the same as always, great great great!

Of course, our meal is never complete without their fried dumplings. Hihi. 128055

I've always been a fan of this place. Fast service, yummy food, although the restaurant is quite small. The must try? Well the porkchop rice, of course! It's cheap, delicious, and enough to make you feel full.

I've always loved the porkchop and the dumplings here ever since I was a kid. 128513

Lately, I was feeling a bit nostalgic and I was craving for the porkchop and dumplings!! Since my Saturday was pretty much free, I went to Masangkay and ordered 1 porkchop rice, 1 fried dumplings, and 1 soya milk.

Cravings satisfied! 128525 Their porkchop are still huge and there's something with their breading which makes it extra delicious. 128513

The place is very popular but cramped. The famous porkchop is ok at best. Tasty but not that tender. The steamed dumpling is fine.

My to-go-to dumplings specially if i'm sick 128522128522 maybe becoz it is my staple childhood food also 128150

It has a thick dumpling skin that i like very much! I find it super filling for having that kind of dumpling skin. And the pork filling inside is so meaty & i love it coz it has chives mixed in it too 128525128525128525 you dip this dumplings with the oh sooooo mindblowin "secret sauce" oooooh! Its like a torn between fish sauce & soy sauce. Its really good together with their chili paste! I usually drop some of that chili paste on my rice or sometimes on my noodle just before i pick them up with the chopsticks haha! 128293128293128077128525128525128525

Bad photo BUT after walking around in Binond for about 35 minutes looking for Dong Bei Dumplings, I say ef the photo. I was too hungry to care.

These dumplings have pork inside and the skin is in the middle of thin-thick. Truly a good bite when you're hungry. They also have wintermelon that costs at around 45 PHP. The dumplings were only 90 PHP and you get 8 pieces of it.

Cheap but good! Not the best but it satisfies the craving.
