So I'm here again. Was going to just get coffee and pastry but the cashier said there was a buy one take one on pizza, I ordered pizza na rin. I got hawaiian (P99 with buy one take one), choco rhum ball (P49), and short americano (P80). Few people eating so my order was served right away.

Hawaiian pizza was not too hot anymore. I bet you can have it reheat in their brick oven, but I didn't bother since it's fine with me naman. The meat topping is canadian bacon which is really good. And some regular pineapple tidbits. I liked the pizza. Coffee is really hot. The choco rhumball is so fudgy you'd think the serving is too small but it's enough for 1 person na. I really love this little piece of choco heaven. Sweet cravings satisfied!

And I'm back at Pioneer for work and had my afternoon break at this neighboring cafe. Very few people in the afternoon so it was a nice time to have a chat with my staff. I got their house blend iced tea and madeleine brownies. I love a good iced tea especially the ones being sold at hawker food centres in Singapore. Their iced tea (P65) has a lemon flavor and tea is not too strong. Just right to refresh you on a hot afternoon. I really liked it. Madeleine brownies was good! Not too sweet and very chocolatey. I would really like to try their pizza or pies next time I'm here.

I discovered this place only now when I went out my new office along Pioneer street corner Reliance street. It's within the HMR compound right beside their canteen. You can see through the sorting area of HMR. It's a pretty big place, great for big groups. But only a few parking spaces along Reliance Street.

I only ordered iced capuccino and chocolate rhumball. Coffee is good. I enjoyed it. The rhumball is surprisingly good too. It's chewy and so chocolatey. Tastes like dark chocolate. I liked it. They have a bakery here too and serves all-day breakfast, pizza and Aussie meat pie. Several big tables, so good for big groups. Maybe if you live/work near the area, you can check this place out.

Mushroom soup FTW! What I liked about this is that it had bits of dried shitake mushroom on it. 128077128077128526
I like their spaghetti also, you have the option to choose from soaghetti with meatballs or kiddie spaghetti which basically has slices of meatballs on it.
They serve breakfast menu items also all day :D

Who would have thought that there's a cozy little gem of a resto hidden in the surplus haven of HMR Pioneer?

We spent the whole afternoon rummaging at the pile of tents in HMR. It was not an easy task and it made me very hungry indeed.

As we were about to leave the place, we asked the guard if he knew any good noodle houses in the area. He proudly pointed out that there's a restaurant inside and they serve good pansit. Let me point out that he was smizing as he directed us to where Tasty Tucker was.

Our first impression of the place was that it was one of those pricey bistros with snub waiters. Boy, were we glad to be wrong. The place was furnished with wood. Wood everywhere, which made it super cozy. There's soft bossa nova music playing in the background. The only thing missing were book-filled shelves and it would have been paradise.

We had a heaping order of Pansit Bihon and a couple of Pan de Sals. IT WAS GOOD! We were kidding around that it was actually a plate of chop suey garnished with noodles. There was just an overflow of veggies and fishballs and kikiam and love and rainbows. It's just so awesome!

I liked the food that we ordered at Tasty Tucker.

The Chicken Curry Pie was delicious! The curry flavor was not overwhelming - I mean, it wasn't all curry. You can still savor the flakiness of the pie. Spiciness is just right, which is what I always prefer. I do hope that it's more saucy, though. I prefer that once you slice the pie, a bit of sauce will come out. The one that I ate is a bit dry.

Then pair this with the Brew Kettle Belgian beer! Perfect match!

The pancit bihon was also good. It wasn't too. It was even a bit saucy. It also had a lot of veggies, pork strips and sliced squid balls.

I definitely come back to try the Beef Salpicao and their Longganisa.

I am happy that Looloo has added Tasty Tucker to their list!

Located beside HMR, the surplus store found in Pioneer and Sucat, the restaurant offers an array of food from pizzas, pastas to rice meals and scrumptious desserts. What makes it even better is that their food is available at affordable prices. Included in this review is a photo I took of what we ate when their Pioneer branch opened. (Top photo is Chicken Parmiagana, bottom left: stuffed pizza, bottom right: spaghetti bolognese)

If you're looking for a new restaurant to try out, then tasty tucker is the right one! I recommend their pancit for a merienda out with your friends or family. It has a for sharing size and it tastes really good!

When you're in the mood to go shopping but you're on the budget I suggest you go around HMR. They have affordable and original items in their store! Don't forget to end your visit with a trip to Tucker after.

Went to HMR in Alabang which is a huge surplus warehouse. Lots of cool finds at low prices. But didn't find anything useful.

So we ate at the branch of Tasty Tucker here. I bet an Australian owns it by the name itself and of course by some of the things on their menu.

I had the Aussie Beef Pie for P99. Gosh it reminded me of when I used to buy those for lunch when I was studying elementary in Australia. It tasted just like it. It wasn't like the meat pies we have here where it's hollow and the pastry doesn't taste good.

Thumbs up for the Tasty Tucker! 128077

This resto is owned and manage by HMR PH. Their best seller is beef salpicao. Black velvet cake is a must try.
