I was terribly craving for Tim Ho Wan's pork buns kaso Megamall is too far so i opted for this.... Okay lang. Good enough if you're craving for siopao, but it definitely did not satisfy my pork bun cravings 128546 I feel sad huhu. Anyway, fair price so 3 stars pa din 127881 106 per dozen.

My brother brought us some last night... It was delish! It's asado inside with salted egg. I had two small siopaos - and wanted more (only if i were not dieting)! The bread was good too! Walang sayang! Sana they'll open up a branch near pasay/makati soon! :)

Ordered 120 pcs. to bring to my relatives at Pampanga 128516 We love toasted siopao but I think it will be a lot better if they will put salted egg instead of regular boiled eggs 128077

My second time to try this one sold by Tatystar Bakery. The first time was when my client offered me this siopao. Very good taste of the filling. Its nice to eat it when it is still hot from the oven.

My husband has been bugging me about the toasted siopao craze in V. Ave and when we chanced upon the place, we immediately stopped and bought a box.

These are really small siopao that has been toasted to light brown perfection. Nothing of the sort that I've come to know in Baguio (i do believe those were monay with asado filling). Tastewise, so-so as siopao (You see, I love ma mon luk siopao so as to my siopao standard: BLEH!). It has small asado filling that fails to satisfy. It is best eaten piping hot. When it gets cold, no amount of toasting or microwaving can bring back the so-so taste.

Eat it while it's hot. Otherwise toasted siopao is not so good. Well, this is just my opinion :)

These are not siopaos.

I was disappointed to see that it's not made out of white siopao bread. It's more like an ordinary kanto bakery bread filled with meat.

But that's not necessarily a bad thing.

It was actually good! And I liked it! Perfect for merienda and pig out moments. My mom and dad liked it as well.

For 5 pesos a piece, you experience awesomeness in your mouth.

I bought 20 pcs. + box for 175 pesos. Not bad.

Another awesome place found along Visayas Ave. 128077

This mini toasted siopao are amazing. Ground pork + boiled eggs wrapped in a soft-toasted dough melts in your mouth. Its mouth-watering. You can finish a dozen of these in one sitting. And the upside is its very cheap 8 pesos a piece... You should try it.

Here's something for a change. 128522

I got curious way back when I saw Toasted Siopao as me and boyfie passed by. So without hesitation, we purchase it.

• PLACE
- This is a normal panaderya near your places. They sell different kinds of breads but their specialty is their Toasted Siopao. The place is really hot since they're actually baking the siopao in front of you.

• PRICE
- Behold! The price is really cheap. 8 pesos per piece! Ahhh huhh! Box of 12 (in the photo) costs 106 pesos only. 128077

• FOOD
- Okay so here it goes. When I first tasted the Toasted Siopao before, I was like "eto na yun?" Why? Two things: First, What I expected is that the Siopao that we're familiar made fancier by toasting it. But no, as you can see in the picture, it's like a pandesal without crumbs. Though the consistency of the bread is not like Pandesal, but it's close to that one. Don't expect that the bread is really like Siopao's. Second reason? when I first tasted the Toasted Siopao it's not Hot. It's like pre warmed on that time. So if I'll have to rate that experience, it's 3.

So now, I bought a box of 12 and luckily, it's freshly made! Huraaay! Steaming right from the oven! 128079 The taste is wonderful! Really moist, delish, hot, and the filling inside were generous. Even bits of eggs on it!

⛔ REMEMBER: Buy the freshly made!

It's not a "you blow me away"' food, but it's indeed One of a kind! 128521

Let me say this upfront: I looooooooove siopao. I was driving home one day and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the word siopao. Toasted siopao. Sorry cars behind me, I had to slow down to do a double take to make sure I read the sign right.

Today, I finally stopped by the store. Oh man, new favorite pasalubong place. Php106 for 12 hot, toasty pieces mmmmmm.

What makes this siopao different is the bread. I'm pretty sure it's the same bread used in pan de coco. Kinda sweet and a bit chewy. Yum!

My family loves siopao, my friends love siopao, my office mates love siopao. A lot of people love siopao. I DON'T. And all those who learn about this dislike of mine would usually say "whaaaaaaaaat?!".

I don't know but, I guess I'm just not a fan.

But then one of my office mates brought a box of this Toasted Siopao in the work place. Finally, I found SIOPAO LOVE. 128525

The usual white breading was toasted light brown. The stuffing wasn't like the usual Asado or Bolabola but it was something like ground pork that had the flavour of adobo or longganisang Iloko. It also had a slice of hard boiled egg in it. The taste might not be extraordinary but it definitely has that distinct Pinoy taste that I love. One bun was ultimately filling.

Just recently, I brought a box to an afternoon get-together with friends and it was a hit. It was wiped out in a few minutes. (Or maybe they were really, really hungry). 128541

I'd say Toasted Siopao can be one of those Pinoy food ingenuities. They only have 3 branches, all in QC but, I am guessing there will be more.

For the very, very, very affordable price of P8.00 per piece or P175 for a box of 20's, this makes an ideal pasalubong or contribution to any potluck activities with family or friends.

(Oh, there's one more Siopao that I love, the fried Siopao from Mien San. But I would have to reserve that for another review)
