I've always wanted to try dining here but it looks sad to come here alone. My days off are not in sync with those of my friends from work too. It's only now I found the perfect chance to do so! 128569 My parents are here for the long weekend. We had to do something in Parkmall and since we're already in Mandaue and just so near A.S. Fortuna, I invited my parents to have dinner with me here. Seldom now do I get to treat my folks ever since I moved to Cebu so every precious moment counts.

The restaurant is just beautiful, thoughtfully designed and well lit but just enough for the right cozy feel. We were seated in the corner couch and the head waitress approached our table. She immediately told us the daily soup and the bruschetta for the day. We decided not to get any of those. 128569 I've actually planned what to order here for quite a while now, at least for my first visit. 128568

So for starters, we ordered the Tavolata Salad. It was their take on a Caesar Salad and it was really delicious! The dressing was on the tangy side which I liked with the crunchy leaves. The veggies tasted so fresh too, and they didn't scrimp on the crunchy pancetta and shaved parmesan! It was really good because it indicated that the rest of the food we're expecting were also made from only the finest ingredients. 128571

We had the Mushroom Bucatini and it was divine! Once they put the plate on the table, I immediately got a whiff of the amazing aroma or the truffle oil and pancetta! The pasta was perfectly al dente! 128076🏼The flavor was so rich with the bold earthy taste of the mushroom and paired with the smokiness of the Italian bacon, it was an absolutely amazing dish!

We also ordered the Prosciutto di Parma Pizza and this was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! There were generous amounts of the toppings and they all tasted so fresh! The crust was just the right thickness I like and the bread itself was the nice kind of crispy. I used the crust to scrape off the mushroom pasta sauce from my plate and it was just the bets thing in the world! 128569

To end the meal, we ordered their Panna Cotta and it was also one of the best cooked creams I have ever had! 128571 Their version had two layers, vanilla and chocolate and it was just amazing! It wasn't too sweet and the portion was already good for sharing. It was light and very creamy and had pronounced flavors of the vanilla and the chocolate but it was just enough not to overpower each other. My dad and I each enjoyed a cup of their Cafe Latte with this dessert, and it was the perfect way to finish the super filling meal! 128571

I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed last night's dinner in Tavolata! I highly recommend this place for any occasion, and for the Italian food fan! I will definitely come back! 128571

Pasta Dinner was at Tavolata last night. We had a great conversation along with delectable food, the Seafood Spaghetti Al Nero with Squid Ink Pasta was exceptional! taste was exquisite definitely worth another plate (on a next visit 128522128513) though a bit conservative serving for a 645php price.

Fine interior however a bit really stiff, they also really need to add few more lux on their luminaire. 128526 yes, seriously. Lux for their interior is below luminaire requirement. 128546

The server though typical fine places like this are really oddly friendly, person who waited our table was maybe a bit on a hurry. Asking to dish out even food were still halfway finished. 128560128548 (while we're still eating) 128555 #matapobre ; my Chinese friend was extremely upset and she wanted me to complain via |ooloo. But this is the farthest I can put. I don't normally rant 128530128524 Nonetheless, we ended everything with an Apple Crostada interestingly delicious though some parts are a bit too sour, i liked the part near the crust -- not too sour, not too sweet but the cup of calming Camomile Tea may have been the best neutralizer.

All is well. Will definitely visit as usual 128522

Cacio E Pepe is a tricky order because it's always either a hit or a miss partly because this dish is very simple. Tavolata's version achieves the right balance of cream and pepper and the handmade pasta seals the deal! It's creamy and light and the fettucini is perfect to the bite. This is absolutely perfect if you need some happy carbs for lunch! :)

Probably one of the best Italian bistros I have ever been. I can only think of 2 words to describe this place - Elite and Classy. Tavolata Restaurant is part of one of the largest restaurant chains in Cebu which speaks of upper class dining experience, the Abaca Group.

I personally love their Apple Crostada (Apple pie). It is soft, chewy and a bit gooey because of the delightful creamy sauce that really brings out the flavor of the pie. It is best paired with tea or coffee.

You also have to try their Spaghetti Neri - a seafood pasta favorite that truly pleases every gastronomic craving. The noodle is said to be made with the black ink from a squid giving it a dark color.

Two thumbs up for this place!

Celebrates my 23rd birthday in advance with my two best friends here at Tavolata. Ambience was perfect, and service was superb as always!

We started with bruschetta tomato. Grilled bread topped with the freshest, juiciest tomatoes (oh god, I can imagine them being in front of me right now), basil and artichoke in olive oil. This was definitely the best bruschetta I've ever had so far! No kidding!

I ordered 2 pastas to share - the oxtail papperdelle and a scallop pasta. Tavolata makes all their pastas fresh daily, and their pastas are the best I've had! The oxtail papperdalle was delicious; the scallop pasta, never mind -- I felt like this one didn't have any flavor at all. I would recommend the chicken pesto fettuccine though, as that one is really good!

Since they didn't have the lamb sausage pizza I usually order (love that one), and because it was a Friday (Lent), I ordered the four cheese pizza instead. Not as cheesy as I imagined it to be, but still really good. I loved the crust! But the lamb sausage pizza, to me, was the best!

Wanted to have dessert but my friends and I were too full. But notable is there creme brûlée!

Try the Beet salad or their antipasti, huge slab of pork chop is good for sharing. Food is good but pricey. Ambiance though is nice.

Pizza - best pizza i've had! The crust was really crunchy! ordered half lamb and half prosciutto! The prosciutto was not bad! But the lamb was something unique! It really went well with the cheese and mint leaves 127829

Squid ink pasta with seafood in tomato sauce - yummy! You wont have to worry about the squid ink staining your teeth since it is incorporated in the pasta noodle itself. Sauce was good and the seafood was delicious!

Chicken parmesan - really big serving! They served around 3 big pieces!

MUST EAT HERE WHEN IN CEBU!!!!!!!!

We love the food and how it evokes memories of our dining experiences in the Veneto region of Italy. The stylish ambiance, good furniture quality, and high ceiling with soft lighting all contributed to our enjoyment in Tavolata. Budget P800-P1,000/head.

This restaurant can beat some of the mediocre Italian restos in Manila. Sometimes, I get a bit jealous of the Cebuanos because they get to enjoy really good gourmet restos created by Jason Hyatt's group.

This is a must-visit for any foodie! You've got to try this when you are in Cebu. :)

Subtle. I think that's the perfect word for everything in Tavolata. A bit pricy but you're sure to get your money's worth. The feel of the place and the food were subtle without being plain or over the top.
Their servers are completely nice and they actually talk to you, which is great because I needed someone to talk me through their menu.
Had their mushroom soup (ace!), grilled country bread, Caesar salad, and spaghetti. Their food felt like a solemn parade of taste in my mouth. I loved everything!
And, yes, no meat at all! My mom (an avid meat-eater agreed with me on how beyond-words awesome their food is).
For dessert, I ordered their vanilla bean creme brûlée. I wish it came in a bigger serving because it was so good!
My mom and I left content and happy, me especially.

Dear Pizzarias in Cebu, because of you, I'll never enjoy Italian-style pizzas in Manila anymore. Seriously, why do "Italian style" pizzas in Manila taste like crap?! 128169128169128169

So I'm back in Tavolata, somewhat relieved to find their "tartufo" pizza is not on the menu. They apparently change menus everyday, depending on the ingredients they have, which is a good sign.

The pizza, is the best I've ever had in the country. Got the four cheese (they had me at tallegio) and pepperoni. The crust is perfect as always - crisp crust with a hint of smoky flavor and chewy on the inside.

We also ordered the steak, and I though my brother was exaggerating when he said it tastes almost as good as Mamou's. Well, he was spot on. He was also right that it needs a bit of rock salt (which enhances the beef flavor). The side veggies are also roasted perfectly well.

I don't know what's it with Cebu and good Italian food. There michelangelo's, Giuseppe's, and this other place I forgot 128547

Tavolata is the latest restaurant to open along A.S. Fortuna street. They're part of the Abaca group, so I have high expectations (they're the LJC group of Cebu only chicer).

We got ordered their truffle pizza. While its unforgivable to NOT taste any truffle in the pizza, the pizza dough itself made up for it. Yes it's that good! Crisp, chewy and rustic. (I recommend you get more basic flavors because the true star is their pizza dough.

Their pasta is also a must-try! They used bronze dies, instead of steel ones that ware commonly used in commercial pastas) I'll explain more on www.asianfoodgeeks.com why these resulted to the kind of pasta you'd give up your firstborn for. The pasta is, to say the least, done well just like their pizza dough.

The only reason they don't get a 5-star is cos I didn't taste any truffle... On their Truffle pizza!!!
