Breakfast in Tagaytay is something I am excited about, whenever in this place. Spent it with my highschool bffs last Sunday. There are number of breakfast places and we are confused. At first, we are all feeling bloated and buffet will be a bad idea. So we skipped Balay Dako as an option. Then, we get to browse good reviews in Taza Fresh, which is located in Taal Vista Hotel.

Its less than 5 mins drive from the place we stayed. We entered Taal Vista and went straight to the viewdeck, at the right portion Taza Fresh is located. Nice ambiance! What I loved most is that its not crowded. As we are seated, breakfast menu is quickly handed to us. There are good choices but its kinda pricey. Meals costs about P400-P700, drinks were not included yet. And the 4 of us decided to have a breakfast buffet 128513 for P900. It has bottomless drinks.

There are few choice. There are breads, jams, butter, salad, yogurts, cheddar cheease 128076🏼, omelettes of your choice, plain & garlic rice, longganisa, ayungin 128076🏼 or small daing, champorado, congee, corned beef, for drinks they got juices amd milk. Everything is so good!

Verdict: Dining experience is good. We did not regret the buffet.. hahaah we are actually hungry pala. Their brewed coffee is worth noting! I just had milk in it and enjoyed it. I had 4 cups! And can't help but asked the waiters, what kind of coffee is it. And its a mixture of 3 kinds of coffee: barako, robusta and robusta.

Eggs Benedict - taste was okay but the eggs were overcooked. 5 out of 6 eggs were not runny. (3 orders of eggs Benedict). Side potatoes were good.

Buttermilk fried chicken 3.5/5 yummy and boneless

Croque madame- 4.5/5

French toast - it was not as "soaked" as other French toasts I've tried. Wouldn't order again.

Complimentary bread basket- croissant was yummy!

Tāza Fresh Table at Taal Vista Hotel is now open! It is a welcome addition to the diversity of restaurants in the country’s 2nd summer capital.

This huge slab of cooked Tomahawk Pork Chop (Php650.00) with caramelized onions and plantains is really good! The pork chop sits on a bed of cauliflower mash in pork jus that made it unbelievably flavorful. The meat was juicy and tender and the fat was rendered oh so beautifully! Smother your meat with sauce together with the cauli mash, onions and a slice of the plantain to enjoy all the wonderful elements – salty, sweet and creamy – in one bite! Chef Jamie nailed the doneness of this creation! The steak looked way too big but I was surprised when one order of this dish was almost finished by just 1 person.
