Don't call yourself the Breakfast Club if you're not ready to serve breakfast within 30 minutes of ordering.

First we had to call the attention of the "manager" (looked like he was dressed as a manager, but really the waitress was more attentive and approachable) to clear and wipe out table clean (we seated ourselves at a table that had just been vacated).

Then we notice the dead cockroach. Then the "manager" takes the water jug that was on our table (used by the previous diners) and refills it from the tap then proceeds to serve it to another table.

It took over 40 for my wife's order of pares (which is pre-cooked, just needs to be heated and plated) to be served. Said "manager" just places it on our table with no explanation or apologies.

P220 for that sad plate of tapa? And the "pares" sauce was obviously just thickened with cornstarch or flour.

I love visiting new restaurants. It makes me so happy every time I get to discover a great fdish or a nice restaurant perfect for mini reunions or some alone time. And I’m really lucky that I’m just a few blocks away from one of the foodie destinations, Kapitolyo. But even Pioneer is starting to pick up. Just a few months ago, I spotted two new restaurants, Takeshi, a Japanese restaurant and one of my new favorite dessert places… The Breakfast Club.

Hello, The Breakfast Club!

Okay, The Breakfast Club is not exactly new as it has another branch in Quezon City but it’s still new to me. Owned by celebrity Erich Gonzales and her boyfriend, The Breakfast Club is known for its breakfast staples. (Duh!) But they also offer Korean dishes, a few Japanese dishes and steaks. But when we visited, we only had room for desserts as we just had dinner at Takeshi.

We first noticed the Fallen Cake (PHP155) and it sure look like it fell and was slightly stepped on. It still looked delicious though but my mom was iffy to order that. So we ended up with Lava Cake in (a) Cup with Vanilla Ice Cream (PHP170) and Mango Caramel Panna Cotta (I forgot how much this one costs).

The Lava Cake sure was photogenic. It was so rich too and very sinful. We got so addicted to the contrast of the warm chocolate and the cool ice cream. And yes, we made a mess!

The Mango Caramel Panna Cotta was delightful as well. Way lighter compared to the Lava Cake, this one is a better option for those who are not so fond of chocolates. There was a generous serving of sliced mangoes too.

Overall, it was a great way to cap our dinner. I will definitely visit again to try the savory dishes and of course, more desserts.

Since according to this website, this is one of those restaurants to try whenever you're in Kapitolyo, I figured why not have my first meal of the day here. So when I entered, I felt that it was so bare in aesthetics and zero in customers — but I still gave it a go.

Sat on their couch with stains of I don't know what, don't have any choice since the entire couch has all these stains. So dismissed that thought and still ordered their Tapsilog. I have to say that the service was good, I think it just took 5 minutes for them to serve my order. The tapa was good, it is tender and the serving was worth the price of 195. So after eating and finishing my complimentary coffee, I noticed one of their staff, fixing her hair, putting on powder IN THE COUNTER (which you can see in this photo) It was really a turn off so I just paid my bill then off I go. I'm really sorry but I won't recommend it to anyone I know. :(

Very satisfying taste of their tinapa pasta or spicy aglio olio with tinapa. Though the pasta was not al dente enough.

The breakfast Beef Tapa - one of the best tapa i've tasted. Soft and chewy wouldn't make your teeth fall off!

At TBC it's breakfast all day anytime :)

My colleague and I actually tried to go to Tokyu but apparently it opens 1130. Since I had a 12nn meeting, we had to look for an alternative nearby and we ended up in TBC.

Place isn't packed if you go early - we were there 11am. We got to seat at the sofa area but we soon regretted it because it was near the service window (where they bring out the food from the kitchen) and we could smell all the food being prepared. Normally that wouldn't bother me but since it was a work day, we got worried that he smell would stick to our clothes. (And I had a meeting right after that) Buti na Lang we had an odor eliminator spray at the car (I'm a boy scout sometimes haha). They need to fix their ventilation. Or was it faulty during that time? IDK.

As for the food I got the Korean bibimbap and was disappointed with it. It didn't come close to any bibimbap I've tried before. It's 3/4 rice with some poorly seasoned beef. The spices were meh too. Wrong order. 128557

My friend ordered the Kani salad and cream of corn soup. Both were disappointing too. The Kani salad's mayo wasn't even Japanese mayo, it was just ordinary mayo and the greens weren't that fresh and the Kani used was so so. The soup tasted like a watered down Campbell's soup so she wasn't happy with it either.

I don't know if we ordered the wrong dishes as the other reviews for the place were relatively decent. But as for me and my friend, this might be the last time we visit this joint.

At least the staff were friendly so I gave the place 2 stars for that.

This slab is good for 3! 128076128076128076
We know we're big eaters, so we got this, but still failed to finish this single slab.

Taste and consistency is good. Someone mentioned that the sauce is similar to what Rub ribs serve, true.

Such a good dining experience, big portions and reasonable prices. Will come back to try other dishes soon. :)

Ordered their Angus Beef Tapa and it didn't taste like Angus at all; too sweet, and was a little tough. Although they do have generous servings plus free coffee for every breakfast meal you order. Generally food is just okay, a little bit on the pricey side for me. Didn't really taste like a dish worth P195. We all felt like we could have gotten better Tapa at Kanto Breakfast nearby. Might try their desserts next time though.

I am a breakfast person, never missed breakfast or else my day will not turn out well. But having dinner on The Breakfast Club? Hell yeah why not!

I've watched this before on Kris TV and I still remember those dishes that made me drool that time. So here's what we ordered:

Baby Back Ribs - It was huge! At first I thought it was just for a single serving. A plate is worth less than P400 and it's super worth the bucks! Tender and juicy, it was not oily at all. The bbq sauce taste like that of Rubs but it blends well with the meat. 128525

Beef Bibimbap - First sight of its picture on the menu and I said I am totally ordering you! Everything else blurrs as this deserves a first pick. No regrets cause it's one heck of a bowl, so tasty and bursting with flavors! I loved it alot and with no exaggeration I can have it everyday without the sawa factor. No wonder Kris Aquino finished the whole bowl herself. 128525 (P195)

Choco Lava in a Cup - Yeah who could ignore that promising dessert list? Ofcouse as per Kris again, I sampled their Choco Lava, it comes with vanilla icecream and an oreo cookie on top. Sweetness overload but nothing's chocolatey than this! I love how they make it appear oozing in the cup, it's like everyone will drool over. 128525 (P170)

For me it's worth the price and good news - no service charge. The staffs are very accomodating and very polite. They gave complimentary basket of bread with an awesome dip to munch while waiting. Will definitely go back! Highly recommended 128077128522

Its supposed to be breakfast, but its available Wholeday! So why not have lunch at it and grab a cake? This philosophy made me end up munching on this peanut butter and almond cake with their brewed coffee. I love the cake! Its soft, luscious, and comforting. It had drizzles of choco syrup and a bit of orange. But i guess ill try their bfast portfolio soon. So far, place is promising and i only paid around 800bucks for two cakes and three cups of coffee with my buddies. Not bad really. Brb

The crispy calamari was tough, the chicken peri-peri was too spicy, and there was nothing heavenly about the heavenly chocolate mousse.

Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Try the breakfast club! They are offering a wide range of dishes. Dont be fooled by the name itself, they does not serve breakfast alone. Meals ranging from pasta's, steaks, sandwiches and pancakes etc are really good. The price are affordable enough to lure you to dine-in. I ordered their clubhouse sandwich, and for 150? I got 4 sandwich with thick slice of chicken breasts, cheese and egg in it.

Ate Sunday brunch with the family. Though their branch here is kinda small, but you'll love their TAPA, BANGUS and TOCINO. Plus they have 4 sulit and big sandwiches for the CLUBHOUSE meal which costs 150php only. Their breakfast rice meals price range is 150-250php. Unlimited iced tea for 95php. They too have freshly squeezed juices which is find cool since I ordered one for my baby 128077 plus the staff are nice 128522

The Breakfast Club (TBC)'s Lava Cake in a Cup was sinfully good. Their Peanut Butter Cake was also delicious.

This is TBC's newest branch located at the Pioneer Center. This visit was after our heavy delicious meal at their next door neighbor, Takashi Japanese Cuisine.

Loved their Lava Cake! Served in a huge ceramic cup, the warm moist dark chocolate with a melted chocolate center, was topped with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream , drizzled with chocolate syrup and garnished with an Oreo Cookie. Don't let the dripping gooey overflowing sweet mess turn you off. It was simply sinfully, deliciously, chocolatey good!

Their Peanut Butter Cake was appropriately a ChocNut lover's cake. Moist white chiffon cake, iced with cream frosting, sprinkled with crushed ChocNut and topped with more whole ChocNut bits. Nicely garnished with a pretzel, whipped cream, maraschino cherry and drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrup. Loved the ChocNut overload that worked deliciously with the white cake.

All these sweet endings perfectly paired with their Hazelnut Coffee.

Will come back for more of their sinful sweet offerings. Also I'm keen to try their everyday Breakfast Buffet. A friend of mine tried this and found it good and affordable (just Php 299).
