First time to eat here and Im not so happy. We ordered the group meal with maki tempura gyoza beef and pork and very im so disappointed. The tempura is so bland it seems they don't put any spices, the beef teppanyaki lacks taste and like a rubber. The gyudon and gyoza is not good also, maki is ok but not the best also the free soup is just ok what i like most their rice. The place is very warm ac not working plus its luch time in ayala, service is fast but they need to improve the quality of their food considering they are more expensive compare to other casual japanesse resto. On coming back perhaps to try their unlimited promo to taste other dishes but i have to think about it.

Liked their Kani Salad and Uncle Sam's Maki! Could improve with customer service. Tables are really small and spaces are really narrow.

Ate here because their gyudon was only for 150php. We added a chicken/tori teppanyaki but for me was not worth the price. Meat portion served was really small compared to the veggies that goes along with it and no rice included yet for the teppanyaki.

My intention of going in this restaurant is to try their "ramen burger". Unfortunately, this is not available and i was a bit disappointed. But since i love Japanese food, its best to get tempura and maki instead.

My friend and I. Ordered 1 California maki and 1 Hawaiian maki. I was delighted when i got to taste the Hawaiian maki, it tasted like dynamite maki since it has some crunchy bits on top although i didn't notice the pineapple part on the maki. The California maki is good you must try this one. We wanted to get tuna maki but all dishes with tuna is not available.
We also ordered ebi tempura! Who doesn't want tempura of course?!

The verdict:
California maki (8pcs) at Php 145 - ✔️
Hawaiian Maki (8pcs) at Php 195 - ✔️
1 ebi tempura (5pcs) at 300 - ✔️
Over all service and experience - 2.5 out of 5
Cost per head - Php 350/ head

Go and try it!
-xoxo

Okay.

1) Was supposed to dine at North Park but there were a lot of people
2) Because of the bomb threats, we ended up in a place outside 'malls'
3) It has become quite a habit of spending time during weekends (today's holiday and he's on leave on Friday -- so yep, Wednesday)

What we ordered:
- mixed seafood tempura
- additional 3 pcs. shrimp tempura
- kaishu-somethingidontremember-rice 128514

The original plan was to go to Glorietta and look for colored pens in NBS. Was also supposed to buy gift for Sunday's ocassion. But his mom texted and warned us about the bomb threats in Makati. We were also supposed to leave office early but sooo many things came up and he needed to check the FA-ready material prepared by his junior artist.

We actually wanted Chinese food but North Park had many customers last night. Hence, we ended up here.

Verdict:
Taste - 5/5
Serving - 5/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Service - 5/5
Price - 5/5

Came here to taste the ramen burger, sadly the patty was dry and lack of sauce I can't even finish it. But the maki roll taste good, creamy, crunchy and tasty, love it! The spicy rice taste good too. Place is good and friendly servers.

Inadvertently found this place while looking for something to eat and once I saw they have ramen burger, I went in. The ramen burger looked good, pretty thick. I was curious why they gave me a knife and fork. So when I tried and picked up the burger, I know why I had a knife and fork. The ramen bun is oily to hold onto to take a bite. I had to indulge with utensils. Overall, it was pretty good. Didn't feel greasy. The beef patty was not dry, bacon cooked just right, along with BBQ sauce. It made a good first impression on my first taste of ramen burger. Because of its messiness, I think I'll only order it when I have a big craving for it.

If you like katsudon and you haven't tried katsudon here. Now is the time. Katsudon here is the best katsudon I've ever tasted.

If you're looking for true blue downright Japanese, don't come here. The gyu aspara maki pictured above may look good but it did not taste as good. It was just ok. Grilled asparagus wrapped in beef tenderloin - - even though the beef was tender, the asparagus was crispy and the sauce was tasty, there was a slight burnt taste. Their grill needs some cleaning!!!

Katsudon - a bowl of steaming hot rice topped with pork cutlet, onion leeks and fresh egg.
I was really craving for Katsu with egg and as usual, I didn't have the luxury of time to go anywhere more than 1km from the office128513 (and that just really sucks!) so I ended up here. Their katsu does not come close to Yabu's but it was good enough to give you a quick fix. I found the sauce too sweet. I finished the bowl, yes. But I wasn't happy.

I guess the dishes are still likable and maybe the problem was me. My tastebuds were looking for something particularly Japanese and I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Don't get me wrong, i love Tempura. I've eaten there countless times already and I always end up with a happy tummy. But this particular visit however, was disappointing. One look and I knew I wasn't gonna enjoy my sashimi. It didn't look fresh, and definitely didn't taste like one. My Kani Salad tasted good though.

If you're looking for a "quick & dirty" japanese fix (sounds kinky, but I'm talking about the food), Tempura is your best bet when you're in the heart of the Ayala, Makati CBD area.

Their offering is quite affordable, though the service and quality of the food varies from branch to branch (-1 star here). I love their Tofu steak and their Makimono choices (comparable but much cheaper than in Omakase). Lastly, you have to try their banana nut shake! It's like choc-nut (yum!) and banana (healthy!) has gotten swirled around and formed an offspring... Probably not, but it's worth trying out :)

Turning Japanese, especially when it comes to food, essentially calls for Tempura!!! At least for me, this holds true. And what better place to satisfy one's craving for batter-coated tiger prawn than in Tempura Japanese Grill. Definitely one of the top Japanese restos on my list. This branch gets crowded during lunch. So make sure you get out of the office early to get decent seats. Cozy, classy (enough), and the menu's great! Turning Japanese I really think so. 128568

Lightyears better than your standard fast food Jap restos. I like their tori chizu maki and sukiyakidon a lot.
