This provincial grown, Teresita’s has been around for more than 20 years. Namesake owner with her delicious rendition of Pampanga’s popular dishes has enabled her to expand to more than 10 branches here in Metro Manila. It’s my first time to try her cooking and I loved it!

Right after a meeting here in the mall, I went looking for a new place to eat in their relatively small food court. Teresita’s is a new addition in this area located at the top floor. Their presence surely added value to this location.

Usually I don’t order beef from smaller food establishments with the fear that their texture would be difficult to manage. I was wrong here. Both meats on Kare Kare and Kaldereta were soft and tender. I was also surprised with their significant portioning.

Kare Kare had a great balance of sweet and savory thick sauce that didn’t need much bagoong while the Kalderta with its spicy tomato sauce made it my instant favorite. I also got their lone dessert, Special Halo Halo. Its extra fine ice was the big difference. I also enjoyed the right amount of selected toppings (banana, langka and leche flan) on their version of this Filipino treat.
