Me and my friend were hungry and do not know where to eat and too lazy to cook. We were thinking of going to BF Homes but we were too lazy thus we opted to just look around SM BF and see what’s new since we seldom go there to eat. After scanning all the restaurants, we agreed to settle for Teresita’s.

The place is nice and clean, the staffs are friendly, menu is straight forward and the food is spot on and affordable. I was delighted that we picked this restaurant over the others; their Kare Kare and Dinuguan are so good. 128077128077

There are just those nights that you crave for something lutong bahay and in one of those night I choose to try out Teresita's. Teresita's is a owned by one of the 4th gen Razon's. They named the resto after Teresita Razon the woman behind the Razons Halo-halo. So you definitely will see the similarity of their menu and halo-halo. Their menu are very simple straight forward filipino dishes. Price are all almost less than 150 which is good.

I tried their kare-kare and dinuguan since I was really craving something homey. Their kare-kare got the delicious peanut butter sweet taste. I love the big chunks of beef in the kare kare. It was also well cooked and very soft. The diniguan was equally good. I love this kind of dinuguan that got a lighter shades blackness. Tasted just like original diniguan should be. Got the right amount of sourness. This kind of dishes are just something that I miss. Just simple straight forward filipino dishes.128522128077

Got so hungry on the day of elections so I had their Palabok (90 PHP) and Garlic Longganisa (120 PHP) after voting. (It was my first time to vote. And all that feels while shading the ballot really took all my energy! Haha ingat na ingat ako! I'm so scared that my vote would be invalid. 128514) It's funny kasi natagalan i-serve yung longganisa dahil ang alam ng server naihain na niya yung orders namin, I had the palabok first and my mom initially ordered longganisa, so she didn't know na rumound 2 ako wahahaha. She was like, "Ma'am, naiserve ko na po yung longganisa order niyo diba?", and I'm like, "Ay, sakin po yan, kakain ako ulit." HAHAHA

I wasn't able to take photos because my phone got drained. I can't say that the plating of my meals were very attractive, but both were satisfying! The palabok's flavorful and the serving for chicharon was generous. The garlic longganisa was great too. Although two pieces lang yung serving. Sana dagdagan nila. 128514 If you're the type to have atchara in every Filipino meal, you should ask them to serve one kasi they don't do it in default.

The staff here are very friendly and courteous. The place was spacious enough although jam packed nung Elections Day.

Hope we all got the chance to practice our right of suffrage last Monday! 🇵🇭128074🏻

Before anything else, my team has been following this process of picking a restaurant by getting a strip of paper from a bowl of resto name strips. Works for our very indecisive team. Three bowls separating restos by price range. Just throwing this out there.

So we got this place, good thing since i owe Gwen I a note on their halo halo hahaha

All 8 of us got one meal each and all of us got our meals quickly. Surprisingly, volume did not seem to affect their efficiency. In fairness to you guys!

Awww found the beef caldereta serving small! :( but only because i've seen their servings for embotido, longganisa, and bangus. Oh but the tapa was quite sad as well. Tapa serving was smaller than my caldereta. So given the low prices, i think the serving is roughly right for them BUT this doesn't do anything about my expectations. This is the problem when a group orders a lot of different options: we get to compare! Oh no!

Now on to the reason i wrote this review: their halo halo. You can get the regular for 90 pesos and special for 105 pesos. The difference between the two?

Me: Ano pagkakaiba ng dalawa?
TE: ingredients and size po
So there you have it. Ingredients and size. Given that, i can only really talk about the regular option. (TE = teresita's employee, or shortcut for ate, 'cause employee was a girl)

I've heard before from a friend that in order to be a halo halo, it has to meet a minimum requirement in the number of ingredients used. If i made use of that metric, this might not pass. I like their ice and their ingredients. Leche flan (on top of the halo halo) was 128076🏼128076🏼128076🏼. But overall i found it too sweet for me. Actually had to add a bit if water to taper the sweetness level a bit. Maybe try the special! Regular is just fine for me.

That's it, take care everyone!

Was always curious about this place, it gave off the same vibe as razon's and the like. So finally was able to try it for our lunch out today.

Menu was very straightforward, i actually liked how simple their menu was. It was easier to decide and the prices were not bad at all. Very affordable, ranging in the 100's price point.

We ordered a lot (cheap prices). Sisig, longganisa, embotido, bangus. :) found my longganisa serving small, only because i compared it to the huge serving of embotido. Haha they served the sisig warm and not sizzling hot. When we mixed the sisig and egg, the egg was not getting cooked. It stayed raw, and so we had to request for them to reheat the meal.

Felt like they had a lot of space in the middle. Like you had a runway to yourself to go to the cashier. Just found the use of space inefficient. They could have maximized the floor space more. The chairs were quite small, had a flashback of my grade 2 days. Haha also there are chairs with no back rests so some customers may be bothered with those. Didnt choose them as i had problems with my own chair already.

Anyway, all in all it was an okay visit. Might go back again but only for the halo-halo! Take care everyone!

Wasn't expecting much when we went here. We just wanted to have a quick dinner so we tried this newly opened place. I got the garlic longganisa (P120) and wifey got the kare-kare (P130). Surprisingly, the food was good. The longganisa was a bit small for the price and I just want to eat more of it. The kare-kare on the other hand had a good serving size. And it was one of the best kare-kares I've ever had. Thick, peanuty and delicious sauce.

Good affordable food that is worth coming back for.
