I dined here with my family because my grandmother wanted to eat some puto and dinuguan. Good thing we parked at The Annex because we discovered Teresita’s of San Fernando.

Teresita’s believes that homemade cooking is still the best. Since my grandmother believes in that too, this is definitely the right place. Plus, their place is simple, neat and spacious.

Now onto food... They offer halo-halo, palabok, All Day Breakfasts, as well as other rice meals. On this visit, we ordered Dinuguan with puto, Chicken Tocino, and Garlic Longaniza. They’re simple dishes but very tasty and affordable, too. Btw, Teresita’s of San Fernando’s puto are really good. My grandmother loved it and even bought some to bring at home.

Can you feel the heat? Because I can friggin can!!! During these times, I just want to lay in bed and relish in the coldness of my AC. Or head somewhere cold and eat a yummy cold treat. And what’s perfect for a hot day? Halo Halo! 128539 But before that, let's try the other dishes first.

Palabok (P90) - This had the right amount of sauce and toppings in. The flavor was just right. It wasn’t cloying that you could have the whole plate to yourself.

Beef Caldereta (P140) - I have already tried this before so I was thankful it was served again. I liked how there was this slight heat coming in. The beef was easy to slice though not as tender once I bit into it. Nonetheless, I liked the overall taste of this.

Kare Kare (P140) - This dish definitely outshone the former. It was so good! I could really taste the peanut butter upon first taste of their sauce. The meat here was tender. It came with bagoong (fermented fish) but I didn’t add much of it. I was pretty happy with having it on its own.

Chicharon Bulaklak (P140) - I was with my friend that time, and we were both eyeing their Chicharon Bulaklak. Luckily, it was served during this food tasting event. Yes, our wish came true! Haha. It had this crisp yet still retaining that meat inside. I preferred to have mine dipped in vinegar. It came with rice which I found to be an odd mix.

Halo Halo (Special at P105) - The perfect dessert to all our tasty dishes: HALO HALO! We had to have a sweeter ending to our dining journey here. Just look at the leche flan and langka there! Ughh…just looking at it makes me want to have another one. 128539 Just a quick confession, I really don’t eat the traditional halo halo with lots of toppings. I get confused with all the flavors there. But I like this version as the ingredients are very simple yet it packs so much flavor. It gave me that sweet and cold rush I needed for that very hot day.

We got an invite to experience Grand Halo-Halo day last April 22, 2018 at Teresita’s San Fernando, SM The Annex North Edsa. Between 1pm to 2pm they were giving away a cup of their signature halo-halo. They have been doing this early every year and celebrating to all their branches. You must have to follow their social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) where they will announce their next grand halo-halo day.

Anyway, people were lining up to grab their delicious halo-halo. It was of course, one per person where they will give you can coupon and then line up. No need to purchase anything to get one. I was able to try it out too, it was served with two blocks of leche flan which was really delicious i wanted by a container of it but they ran out of it. Their halo halo was light and wasn’t overly sweet.

Then I got to try their savory dish too. I ordered Kare Kare (Php 149). Lutong bahay style kare kare with bagoong of course. I really liked the peanut sauce then mix it with rice and i was in heaven. But i found the beef a bit tough which was my only issue but the taste of their kare kare was on point.

I would love to go back and try their other dishes which were all affordable and they were generous with their serving too. The price of their halo halo is Php 100. Noooo bad!

If you’re gonna talk about kapampangan halo halo, especially it’s summer, head over to this place. Last week, teresita’s celebrated its halo halo week. Teresita’s gave away free halo-halo for two hours to celebrate summer. They do this yearly and make sure to follow their IG account so that you’ll get updated.

Here’re why teresita’s is the best kapampangan halo halo
- there are more ingredients inside the halo-halo
- the slices of their leche flan is thicker
- talk about their leche flan, NO JOKE, melts in the mouth!
Hey, this is not bingsu, so it’s not comparable with shaved ice.

Aside from halo-halo, you could also enjoy filipino food from this place
128204 Palabok
They use thick noodles— i like the sauce, the taste of chicharon is dominant.

128204 Beef Kaldereta
The taste is good to pair with rice. Dont eat this just the kaldereta, lest you end up finding it too salty. I find it not too tender, and not too tough.

They also have kare kare. I was not able to try it though.

The place is like a canteen. You get to pay as you order. The room can accommodate around 30-35 pax.

I think I’m going to visit again soon.

I got Lechon Kawali with rice for around 145 pesos ata. Ang sarap! Pati yung pagkakaluto, tamang tama lang. Malutong yung balat at malambot yung laman and taba. Saktong sakto. Di ko sure kung gawa nila yung sarsa pero mainit din kasi yun nung sinerve. Masarap din. 128523 P.S. Check nyo BP nyo after ha. Hahaha!
