Teriyaki boy used to be an old favorite, but i havent been here in a long time (after our 1 star visit a couple if years ago).
I ordered the maguro sushi, tamago sashimi, and tuna tartare.
I liked the tuna on my shushi, but the rice was undercooked and icky. The tuna tartare was 'yummy' but i found it too oily. The tamago was okay but ive had better.
What i liked was the philly cheesesteak roll from the looloo special and the fried rice (beef something" my mom had. The philly cheesesteak roll was rich and filling. It was very cheesy and the beef inside was well seasoned. The fried rice was really really good! It was smokey, and could be eaten on its own.
Oh and there was tea. I think it was brown rice tea. Soooo good. I could drink that all day everyday.
The service today was terribly slow. Our food came out after an hour, one at a time.
It wasnt the best food experience overall. Iont think il be back for a long time.

What's not to love about free maki?️
Orders for two:
- Brown rice nabe
- tuna tartare
- kani salad
- agedashi tofu
I miss that liver dish the old T-Boy served though.
But so glad they kept their house brownrice tea.
One teapot is never enough.

Wwwwwwhat happened Teriyaki Boy??!!!
You used to be the bomb before!
You made me wanna go back for more...
Now it's not you no more...
It's just forgotten lore,
Cause your maki made me snore...
But it was such a clean store...
That is where you score!
My love for you no longer reaches my core...
I better end before I bore!
Peace out y'all!️

All I can say is that I used to really like Teriyaki Boy especially when it first opened in Tomas Morato, but now, service has greatly deteriorated.
The server had me and my family sit in the booth-type table already, then asked us to move after 5 minutes saying that another group apparently pre-reserved the table prior to our arrival. To avoid conflict, we just moved to another table.
Aside from this, they didn't serve 2 of our orders! Good thing that we tried following it up or else we wouldn't have known that they didn't take note of our orders properly.
When all the craziness started to settle down, the staff offered to give us free kani salad because of their poor attendance to our needs. So, there. 3 stars!
Thank you for trying, Katipunan branch.

Although I was planning on ordering just my usual Teriyaki Boy Chicken Ju, i decided it was time to try something new and got that but in ramen form. Really bad idea. The broth was bland and the chicken could've been flavorful but i guess it being in the ramen made it bland as well. The dish got cold pretty quick which was sad. By that time, the chicken was practically rubber. Also, the noodles were overcooked! They were sticking to each other in clumps!
I also got the sashimi since i've been craving. It was okay, fresh but looked like it had been sitting out in open air for too long before they had the chance to slice it. Plus the wasabi they gave me was watery. Wth watery wasabi ._.
Service was okay. The friend i was with accidentally spilled his water so they got us a new table. Plus really quick water refills.
Still, i am disappointed, tboy :((((

I ordered my 2 favorites (spicy tuna tartare and tofu steak) because I was really really hungry that time. I honestly hoped this would turn my day around. But no.
Tofu steak had smaller tofu and little beef and onions, with too much extenders.
Tuna was too spicy than usual and the crunchy stuff was too oily -- aside from being too much also.
In the end, it just made my day worse

YAAAY! Finally got to attend a Dgroup meeting after a while of putting it off!:))
We had our meeting here and i got the teriyaki boy chicken barbeque ramen? I forget what it's called!:( HAHA! Anyway! it was ok! I actually didnt like tboy ramen the first time i had it (kasi super panghi haha) But i gave it another shot cuz i was craving for ramen!
It wasnt bad after all!:) the noodles were firm and the chicken tastes good! For 182, pweds na! Not too salty as well! And the chicken is a bit sweet!
The new interiors in the resto were pretty as well!:)

Before their renovation, Tboy was my and my boyfriend's favorite place to go to for a quick and very satisfying meal. Their new look is great, but sadly, their revamped menu has made us turn to other restaurants. Old favorites like the low-sodium items, cream dory tempura, and yogato have been removed. Lovers of the old Tboy (like we are) may be disappointed by the "new and improved" version.
On our visit yesterday, I ordered ebi tempura and agedashi tofu, while my boyfriend ordered his usual sukiyaki beef teppan don. Everything tasted good, nothing different from the Tboy we were used to in the past. However, come dessert time, we found that we could no longer order yogato. We opted for a new dessert, the green tea jelly instead, which turned out to be a mistake. It lacked green tea flavor and was just not satisfying as a dessert. At least the dishes we had before that were good.
Tl;dr - when eating at the new Teriyaki Boy, stick to old favorites!

I liked the the old Tboy better...
I think they are trying too hard to create a sophisticated feel and compete with other Japanese restos sprouting everywhere.
They should have sticked with their tried and tested formula.

The newly-opened, rebranded Teriyaki Boy with 27 new dishes! Excited?? I was...
I've defended T-Boy from haters in the past. It was always a good go-to Japanese place for me. We used to go here almost every week after basketball even!
The newly-renovated branch was clean and had a new modern feel to it. The biggest change was probably the big common table in the middle (think of it as a giant kitchen island) where individuals/small groups can sit. It was nice, I guess, but it's still all about the food.
I ordered all my favorites: the sukiyaki beef teppanyaki don (a cheaper version of their gyudon), and the spicy tuna tartare.
I don't know what happened but they must've changed something. It was bland, the meat quality was different (in a bad way), and the flavor in general was just... Off. The tuna tartare lacked flavor, and had a lot of gummy chunks in it. I know this dish is usually to make use of the bits they don't use for sashimi but more than once I found myself spitting out an inedible piece.
My sisters had the katsudon and said they could make better at their school food stall. It didn't really taste like anything (are they trying to cut down on salt or something?).
Disappointed. Why try to fix what isn't broken?
I know it's a day late but... Here's who would've been on yesterday's #SuggestSunday!
Lesley Ardelle E, Carla M, eiLeeN T, and Jayne Marie W!

At last they offer delivery!
I was starving (and I was in school so I ordered a philly cheese steal roll (191php) and Teriyaki Boy chicken (214php) all to myself. to avail of their service through City Delivery, they require a minimum 300php order and 10% service/delivery fee. I initially wanted to order 3 different dishes summing to 299php but I was told they base on the total amount and it has to strictly be 300. Haha
Delivery time was fast since it was just right outside school. Waiting time was more or less 30 minutes. Pretty good.

Service spotty. Waving one's hands in the air like a lunatic still won't get the attention of waiters. Food overpriced and served lukewarm. This branch is in need of a refurb and a revamped menu. Just because most customers are students doesn't mean quality should be sacrificed!
