Kani Salad
Tonkatsu
California Roll
Teriyaki Boy Chicken Bento
Philly Cheese Steak Roll

>We ordered kani salad..only to find out that my sister's big bento order included kani salad pala haha. I liked it though. 🤗 I was a bit disappointed when my Tonkatsu order came because it did not include rice pala so I had to grab some rice from my sister's bento haha. It was okay but was not comparable to yabu's. The california roll was okay too. The philly cheese steak roll was good because I love cheese 🧀 haha. The teriyaki boy chicken bento box was really big plus there was a medium sized bowl of miso soup that came with it. My mom and sister insisted I try the chicken because it tasted good but I was already too full. Now I regret and wonder how it tastes like. Haha 128541

Konnichiwa! As I am a die hard fan of seafood, I had Ebi (shrimp) Katsudon and really enjoyed every bit of it. The combination of flavors is great. I will definitely go back to eat another bowl. 127834127844

We also had California Roll, my all time favorite from their menu, and Teriyaki Boy Chicken. Overall, it was oishii!

The place smelled so bad at first! No wonder they only have another group of customers when we arrived. The funny thing is that when we reported this to one of the staff, she just confirmed that the smell indeed was coming from the floor. She didn't even do anything about it. In fact, if only the other restaurant wasn't full (30 minutes waiting time), we wouldn't have dined here. I'm not sure if we were just hungry, but the food served to us were pretty good. Among other orders like katsudon, yakisoba, and gyoza, I got the Teriyaki Boy Chicken Ju. Oh it was tummy filling!

Not-so-pleasant place + nice food = just OK experience 128513

The resto had a really bad smell. It probably came from the mop....

We got some chicken teriyaki, katsudon, yakisoba and some gyoza.

I like teriyaki's old menu better, a lot has changed. They have taken out dishes I used to love.

Valentine lunch with friends, food was so so, tori Karaage was forgettable 128533 they had no mixed mushrooms today which was sad since it's one of our faves, the bacon was too fatty...service was lackluster to say the least 128529

I used to love this place. For the quality of food and their service.

Christmas Day, we decided to dine here after watching a movie and going around.

We had:
• Sukiyaki Soup 3/5

• Beef Teppanyaki 2.5/5
This used to be my favorite, but not this time, it's not tender and I didn't like it, I'm sorry.

• Chicken Teriyaki 3.5/5
This is supposed to be their best seller. But... Failed. Bland. Really bland.

• Yakimeshi (3.5/5)
Ito lang ang pa-consuelo ko. Japanese rice. But, there's still a but, I'm sorry, it still lack a certain oomph.

Service 2.5/5
Maybe they don't have enough servers for the day because of the holiday, I can understand that. It's Christmas anyway. But, what I can't stand are servers who see us needing assistance, but opted to ignore us or says 'wait' but never really came to see what we need.
Except for the manager who assisted us when we claimed our Special from looloo.

I don't know if I will still go here. Maybe not.

Ordered their Katsudon and Miso Soup for lunch.. Their Katsudon was okay but it was a bit salty. The meat was tender though and they improved on their serving size. I had to send the Miso Soup back because it was so bland. 95% water 5% miso. When it came back it was still bland, 85% water na. Cancelled it and just paid for the Katsudon.

All food I ordered was salty, especially the Chashu Ramen and Wafu fried rice. I don't know why. The last time I ordered those in Eastwood branch were okay.

If you'll experience this, make sure to drink lots of water. 128522

Aside from the dishes that I've tried, teriyaki boy chicken, sukiyaki beek teppanyaki, gyudon and katsudon, among others, I keep coming back for their Asupara Bacon maki.

Service is faster at their Robinsons Galleria branch since it's not as congested as the rest of their venues. What's more like-able is that they have bento meals for kids and they even host parties for them.

Perhaps in a year or 2, I'd consider celebrating Sav's birthday at Teriyaki Boy.

When I want to be left alone and eat cheap Japanese food, I go here. I really loved the seared tuna with sesame seeds (pictured) but they took it off the menu!!! 128555128555128555 just my luck. Kung ano pa talaga favorite ko.

But my other fave - the crunchy tuna salad is still served so yay, I guess.

This particular branch was great because they were near the cinemas. The waiters were nice.

4 stars only because of that one time they didn't have salmon sashimi.

The must-haves: gyoza, kani salad, yakisoba, teriyaki boy chicken, tempura. Always always order tboy chicken. 128516

Waiting time is always a bit long. But if you're with good company, it's definitely worth it.

Teriyaki Boy - Japanese Resto

My little sister loves Japan! So much that she learns how to read, write and speak japanese! And of course their cuisine!

Now i'm in a haze where to treat her with all the japanese resto in town...eniweiz most of my friends recommends Teriyaki Boy!

Good thing there's an accessible one at Gateway Mall! :)

Looking at the place it kinda lacks the Japanese ambience...but eniweiz the place is spacious has good ventilation and there's also a good view when you sit on the clear window side! :)

As for the food...in any japanese resto i always order first their sukiyaki. It was an okay dish for me but I was expecting something more i guess. Next I tried is their tamago sushi...this is a bit more okay...the authenticity is there but what i really want in any type of sushi is i can eat and enjoy it even without the dipping sauce...(my sentiments only) We also tried their kani salad...okay din but as usual i was really expecting more...

All in all the experience was ok. :)

After watching Iron Man 3, we decided to have our dinner at Teriyaki Boy. The restau was not that full so we got accomodated immediately.

We ordered California Maki for appetizer, Chris' order was some kind of beef bowl (forgot the name), Kim ordered for a fried rice and buffalo wings and chip. Being the curry and spicy addict, I ordered their Chicken Katsu Curry (I forgot the exact title).

Their Katsu Curry was really good. I think it was even better than Yabu's. it was the best Japanese Curry I have tasted so far. It has huge servings as well. It may even be good for 2!

As for Chris' order, he said it was good too. Though I wasn't able to taste it. I have tried Kim's order which is the buffalo wings and I didn't like it that much. Maybe because i'm not really a fan of buffalo wings. Haha. I don't like the sauce that goes with it. But the chips that goes with it is really tasty. I even thought that it was Lay's! Hehe.

I will not comment about their California Maki. I'm not a fan of sushis so I don't have anything good to say about it. Might as well shut up right? Hahaha. Forgive me, its just that I don't like the taste of sushis!!! /shot 128518

We don't usually frequent this place since hubby and I feel that almost all the dishes tastes the same. But since my dad-in-law wanted to dine here, hubby and I willfully obliged.

It's been more than a year since we last dine at Teriyaki boy and were glad that they have greatly improved... Service was excellent. Servers were just standing nearby and are always alert if we need something. They even offered papa their house tea.

The food was good. The chicken teriyaki was succulent and still crispy when they served it. Their pork tonkatsu was average. Love their version of tofu steak!!! My dad-in-law and Gabe loved the vegetable tempura.

With the improved service and food, we will definitely go back to this branch!
