I'm more familiar with Terry's Selection as a grocery store until the other day I was able to dine in one of their branch. Wow the food here are delicious! The place is a little fancy and menu price are on the high end but it was all worth it.

128204Nos Encanta Galicia - a plate of 6pcs oysters poached marinaded with aged Sherry vinegar, garlic and fresh organic spices. Thumbs up for this! The oyster has a sweet tasty taste that blends well with the marinade. The marinade was the key to this it was just refreshing and a good starter plate.

128204Bologna Mia! - Fusilli pasta with a very delicious ground beef, pork and duck liver sauce. This is another refreshing dish that I would love to order again next time.

128204Seafood Caldereta - the main event! A seafood flavor festivity. Each seafood ingredient just bring their unique flavor taste to this dish. The gambas was very fresh sweet. The soft shell crab was fatty and as you cut into it the juice just ooze and join the flavorful soup. This is so good! A must try!

For a spanish resto this is up on the list of best spanish resto that I've tried.128522128077

I have a strong affinity with my Spanish lineage and being so I always have a craving for products from Spain (and I mean the original one). and sure thing Terry's have them. it's the only place I can get authentic morcilla, jamon , manchego, and so on. and the staff are eager to give tasty samples!

prices are in line with the quality. ambience is phenomenal!

No food picture for this review coz we were busy eating savory Spanish cuisine last night. Arrived around 8am on a Friday payday and the resto is about half full; a group of oldy guys, one big family dinner and some couple having a nice date.

We ordered tawilis which was surprisingly "daing cut syle", dont know they did that for very small fish, oh well its crispy, tasty and fresh. The beef salpicao is also FTW, cut into small pieces with crispy garlic bits! Yummy!

The two dishes that really made my night was the Paella Origina and the Pescatore Pasta! The paella serve was served hot and as we open the lid the flavorful smell just gave us the verdict of something really delicious. Few shrimps were on top but theres a lot more inside; chorizo, squid and pork! The pescatore pasta is a black seafood tomato based pasta, sounds complicated but its really MASARAP!

To end our dining experience here, we the marquesas, sticky chocolate ice cream with caramelized nuts and the leche flan!!

Had lunch here days before they moved to their new location, still along Pasong Tamo.
My favorite is the Chorizo on a Pggyback, their famous chorizo Terry flambeed with sherry brandy. (Must try!!!)
JC de Terry recoomended I try his signature dish, The Elegant Oyster Soup, a creamy melange of fresh oysters, mushrooms and baby artichokes. It was very good!
We ordered Asturiana (to share), a spanish omelet oozing with creamy Cabrales cheese ((famous blue cheese in Spain) and Bechamel (white sauce). It was good also.
If you want authentic Spanish food, this is the place for you. One of JC's rules is never to skimp and to always use fresh ingredients.
Visited the new place already and it was nice!

Definitely the best Spanish restaurant in Manila!!!128076

Everything we ordered was definitely a 5 star!!

My dad actually got carried away and ordered so much but then it's better than kulang right? 128514

We started off with the gambas! Simple but then those shrimps were huge and definitely fresh!! They go well with the complimentary bread!! 128077

Next we had the croquettes! Chicken with cream which complements the salty taste of spanish food!

I forgot to take a picture of the caesar salad but it's actually the best caesar salad i've had so far!! The dressing was flavorful and the "bacon" they used was a type of preserved spanish pork!!

We then had the famous chorizo!! Sadly they don't serve it with the pig clay pot :( but it's still my favorite chorizo 10084

Those little popcorn- like pica- pica is actually fish topped with garlic mayo! It's salty but then it the type of saltiness where you know that it's naturally from the fish itself!

The paella is still solid!!! I know it doesn't have much "tutong," but it's still the best paella out there!! After all the salty spanish food, the paella definitely evens out your tastebuds!!

The "star of the night" is the cochinillo!! 128525128525128525 Every bite is heaven in your mouth!! Super crispy skin that can be sliced easily by a knife then it goes straight into the most tender suckling pig pork ever 128525128525128525 pair it up with those huge fries, peaches and scallion sauce!! 10084

Their pochero was definitely meaty!!! It has beef, chorizo, chicken and other kinds of pork in it @-) very flavorful!!!

Lastly, we had the steak. It was originally cooked medium rare and it was actually good already, but my family wanted it to be cooked medium. When it came out again, the waiter said it was well done daw??? At first, we were horrified because we thought that it would be too tough to eat na! But then to our surprise, it was still so tender!!! I bet it wasn't really well done.. Maybe medium? Cuz it's definitely impossible for well done steaks to be tender pa rin unless they have a secret... 128527

We were too full for dessert, but then I can't wait for my next visit here 10084

One of the best Spanish restos in the city!
Had dinner w the wife here recently and enjoyed every mouthful!
As usual we over ordered! We ordered our usuals ...jamon serrano, squid ink paella, Spanish omelette w cabrales cheese, and my wife could not resist ordering the confit cochinillo which is to die for! We washed all this down with a nice Spanish Rioja.
Of course with all good restaurants... What's the damage? Terry's is not the cheapest place to dine but you have to realize that u get what you pay for!
Cant wait for the next dinner here again!

Well I have seen a whole slab of Jamon Serrano on display at one of the counters. But since I have totally shunned pork from my diet a long time ago, I never really paid much attention to it. As for the other fare in the menu, like the beef salpicao pictured here, I did pay a lot of attention.

To begin with, i will give them 5 stars for ambience and service. The place is well appointed, with two walls of floor to ceiling racks of wine selection, beautiful reproductions hanging on the walls, and a very impressive piece of elaborately carved butler cabinet found at the top of the stairs. And of course there is that nook dedicated to the grandiose Jamon Serrano.

We ordered salad, pumpkin soup, seafood pasta and beef salpicao which we all had split into two since I thought the serving would be big for one person. What do you know, serving turned out to be too small even for a light eater like myself. So my son was laughing a lot because you can finish a course with just three spoonfuls.

Everything tasted good except for the seafood pasta. It's bland to the taste and it looked like it needed additional infusion of olive oil to make it more moist. The beef salpicao is a different story though. It is actually so delicious and unique from all the salpicaos I tasted from other places. I would'nt be surprised if this is one of their best sellers.

Now why four stars? For that minute servings, it cost me all of 2k. Quite pricey right? Overall though it's a nice place to hang out with friends. I also like that they offer magazines for you to browse while waiting for your food to be served. Kinda old fashioned in this Internet age but very very charming.

My go to for callos. But i also like their paella and sausages. I also buy a lot from their shop.

This branch has bad service though. The wait staff prefer to attend to foreign customers and ignore us all the time. We've been here several times and they are always like that. I prefer the Makati or Podium branch.

I had a vegetable tortilla... with the Paella Negra. And gambas.

I regret nothing.
(Except for drawing the line on the chorizo and salpicao. Eating shrimp and clams and squid is bad enough.)
