Terry Selections has always been one of my favorite restaurants. It wasn't until today that I tried the Astoria A World of Taste. It was love at first bite.

I could write more about the contrasting flavors between the aged cheese and red pepper... but I won't. Just go taste it.

Service isn't that good. We asked for the drink menu thrice before they gave it. Hay. Hay.

Asked the wait staff what the marquesa de choco was and she said "cold chocolate". It was pure chocolate bliss, a good sweet ending to a hearty meal.

Oh the dangers of backlog. It's been over a month, but I finally found some time to write some reviews. 128539

Came to Terry's with my family since my uncles from the US and Canada were over for business, and my mom wanted to celebrate with them. That said, we ordered a lot of their specialtIes: Paella, Paella Negra, crispy bacalao, fried tawilis, gambas, and of course jamon serrano!

My uncle also ordered some red wine (at this point I really don't remember what it was, sorry)

Personally I really liked the paella negra, which came with an assortment of seafood, and an aioli-type dip. It was cooked al dente (or at least the rice-equivalent of it), so each spoonful had a firm texture.

I also liked the crispy bacalao, which is a bunch of deep-fried, bite-sized fish poppers with a little dollop of aioli mayonnaise on top. Each bite was crunchy, but rich (maybe also because of the oil.)

The jamon surprisingly was not tooth-numbingly salty, so I was able to enjoy a little more than usual, especially with the wine.

I would definitely come back, especially since most servings here are good for groups.

This is a back review that I won't miss. This was when JP G made me and Zia M, Russel F kaladkad for a drink of wine. T'was a heck of a hectic day, I guess.

JP and I were the first ones to arrive since my office is just a tumbling away. We decided to order Chorizo Piggy for appetizer and Angel's Nest Pasta for our "pseudo"-main (actually JP was the one who ordered everything, first time to eat here and I truly rely on this man's taste. Naks!). Everything was oh so good! I can't actually get enough of the chorizo and the free bread sider. Haha.

Then came Zia and she ordered another batch of appetizer, the Four Cheese Croquettes. She was craving for cheese -- nonstop telling about it even in our whatsapp convo. It was nice and soft and a little gooey. Russ came late so he just shared a glass of wine with the two.

I want to come back for their paella soon. Definitely. 128525

Weeknight drinkup with JP G, Zia M & RK B here at Terry's Slection last Tuesday. Because we drink anytime we want, even on a weekday! Lol. 127863127863127863

They were already drinking when I came in about 9:10pm. Jp handed me a glass of chardonnay and it smelled like Pale Pilsen, imo. 128586 But at least, the taste was a bit different. Lol. I also tried the Three Cheese Croquette and found it good, but felt like lacks something. Or maybe I need to try a lot of this rather? Thanks Zia for sparing me the last piece of this dish. We also got some bread partnered with cheese to accompany our drink.

I also recall that we had another bottle of wine which I couldn't remember at all. Both were great but I think I like the last one better. I had 2 glasses of both and felt a bit tipsy afterwards though.

Cool hangout place, wide selection of glorious food and wine. Too bad they're sited in the mall so they're only up till 10:00pm.

Because weekend drink-ups are so mainstream, we did it on a Tuesday night! 128517128077 Thanks to kaladkaren peeps who drank with me last night. RK BRussel FJP G

Since I already had dinner at home, I only ordered one of their appetizers, "Three Cheese Croquette" which was good. 128523 I was craving for cheese last night, and it satisfied my cravings. It was a soft ball-like, with three different types of cheese and it was deep fried. 128523

It was Perfect for the wine I bought from their market. Since it was 20% off, I asked John to help me choose a good white wine. Bingo! With 14% alcohol, and no harsh taste, it was the bomb. I forgot the name but I remember it was Php475 original price. I'll be going back for that one.

I was kind of tipsy afterwards. 9786

I am still in love with this place even after multiple visits. 128525 The Resto might not be that big (and food might be a little bit pricey) but their wine and cheese collection and their food are simply to die for.

Was feeling a little stressed out from work so decided to pop a bottle of wine and eat glorious food and luckily RK B, Zia M, and Russel F were easy recruits to my plan. Kapatid Yina M, I drank for you na Lang 128517

Ruth and I went ahead for dinner and got the ff:
(1) ANGEL'S NEST PASTA
- seafood pasta with loads of fresh huge shrimps, squid, and diver's scallops all married together with a perfect cream sauce 128523 totally made my night 128077
(2) CHORIZO PIGGY
- their chorizo appetizer which they cook in a small piggy shaped fire grill. Just the right flavor and juiciness. Comes with unlimited bread. Awesome
(3) SANTA ROSA CHARDONNAY
- partnered the pasta with some light (but traydor) Chardonnay and it was the perfect partner for the seafood. Plus it was just p440 and had 20% discount pa! Now it's affordable to be alcoholic. Whut. Yina M, let's go back. May discount e 128514

Definitely one of my favorite wine and food restos. My only issue is they close 10pm. Tooooo early 128546

Best p1,150 I spent the entire month. 128076 Terry's why have I only discovered you now?! 128557 this is now my ultimate favorite chill place. There wasn't anything that I tasted that I didn't like. And the place was nothing short of dapper 127863

First off, diyahe because it's in the mall so it'll close at 10pm. But the good thing about it is the crowd is very sophisticated and it's a good place to dine and to catch up because it's quite secluded at the LG/F. It's also a plus that the place is huge and half of the place is like a European deli mart set-up. I absolutely love the place 128525

The staff, specially Diane, was very helpful and knew what to recommend. She even gladly brought us to the wine cellar and explained the different options I could choose from (I wanted Chardonnay so she gave me three options - expensive but smooth, average priced but steady, affordable and a bit traydor). Of course I went with the affordable one but very traydor because I wanted 2 bottles 128517. The 2013 Phebus wine was so smooth and tasted slightly like a watered down Asti so it was sooooo good and light bodied. But be warned, it's 14% alcohol content so super traydor 128561128561 but it was perfect with the food.

We tried the following amazeballs dishes:
✔️ CAPRICHO ESPAÑOL (p1,200) 128077
- their signature risotto. It has melts in your mouth diver's scallops, fresh prawns, hamonado, and bits of prosciutto. It's the best risotto I've tasted in my life. I want to marry it, divorce it, then marry it again. It's that good 128523
✔️ EUROPEAN CHEESE & COLD CUTS PLATTER
- looks a little small for p950 but it packs a wallop. Everything was delicious. The cheeses were perfect (especially the Brie) and it wasn't overpowering. The bread partnered with the platter was simply good. 128077
✔️ PICATOSTES CON CHOCOLATE (p180)
- their version of churros with chocolate. The churros bread was really light but flavorful and oh so crunchy. The chocolate was definitely made from pure cocoa. It tasted divine
✔️ PHEBUS CHARDONNAY 2013 (p475)
- light, smooth, and oh so traydor. 14% alcohol? I'm sold! I even bought one for take out. Deadly 128076

This is definitely the best p1,150 I have spent for food. It was such a glorious meal. Will definitely be back 128077

We ordered a bunch of stuff but this dessert was the star of my meal. No, my day.

MERQUESA DE CHOCOLATE (or something that sounds like that) Remember that the next time you come here because that is all you need to know. Oh my god, I don't know where to begin. The waiter said it was a Mousse, so naturally I expected an airy chocolate compound but boy what I SO WRONG. It was gooey, and hard- almost like frozen ice cream except it wasn't melting. This is pure unadulterated chocolate that is the richest and smoothest piece of heaven I have ever tried. You can basically stick a fork in it and eat it like ice cream- thats how rich it is. I LOVE IT. I WANT ONE MORE. NOW.
