Went out for dinner at SM Southmall and was craving for some good ol' Ramen. We ate at Tetsu located at the Ground Floor. Place was cute and friendly, automatically gave my daughter her own set of utensils that was specially designed for baby girls. Ordered the Black Tonkotsu which tasted great! The black sauce was the garlic sauce which went so well with the Ramen. It was so heavy I couldn't finish it. Boyfie got the Batu Bento which featured pork dishes. The only flaw on his dish was the macaroni salad which tasted so bland and the miso soup was served cold.... iced tea was great. Service was even better... the best part though was the ramen was priced at 280, but was billed 140 for it... PERFECT... 128076 apparently they had a promo of Ramen all you can for just 140 128514

Tetsu was off to a bad start as their wifi was useless. Let's hope the food fares better.

I ordered the tsukemen along with my usual gyoza and Coke Zero.

Gyoza - 128077🏽 nice and crunchy on the bottom, ok in flavor, but a little loosely packed and a little uneven in color, but generally ok.

Tsukemen - 🙁 the sauce was cold! Well not cold, but definitely not hot enough to counter the lukewarm (not even cold) noodles. I could only enjoy it after I had the sauce reheated; and even then, it lost its heat quickly midway into the meal. Maybe thicker bowls (to retain heat) or bowl warmer could have helped this. After heating, it was flavorful enough, and had a good mix of fat in the broth.

Overall, was slightly disappointed by the experience.

Tetsu does not have the best ramen in town but they sure got my attention going whenever I see their sign that says "Ramen for P280 with chef's sushi". Sometimes, they offer their ramen at a very affordable price of P180.

I would definitely stick with ordering their Tantanmen or their Tsukemen. Other than that, I find their other ramen a bit salty or oily.

I think it's a good deal to have ramen for P280 with a plate of chef's sushi on the side. After eating the ramen, I could barely touch the sushi. That's how full I am. I always end up having this sushi to go.

They do offer other japanese meal but I usually just go with their ramen promo since it's very affordable especially for the petsa de peligro day like today.

PS: If you wanna know more you call their number at (02) 5118734.
