My sisters and I ordered Pad Thai (a must!), mom's omelette and sizzling beef. It was all good!

We came in hungry and came out full 128514

Will go back to try the rest of the menu

The bagoong rice was ok, but I'm rating this as 4 stars because of the wings 128525 I seriously did not expect it to be good. It's sweet and tangy, and not you're typical spicy thai food. It was a good mix to the bagoong rice, if you ask me.

The mango sticky rice was delicious too.

Well, the pad thai was good. Peanut sauce and rice portions were generous.

I found the pork satay & green chicken curry wanting.

The thai iced tea could improve.

Harsh ba? I perhaps expected more kase the price is right up there with my thai and soi.

No service charge though. Although service was a bit slow.

Tom yum was so delish! Their tofu, i didn't like that much. The sauce lacked flavor.

Pad thai was okay.

I liked the Sassy fish with green mango salad. 2
Thumbs up! A must try and will definitely come back :)

It has been a while since I last had a lunch out along Kapitolyo and I missed it! F asked me if I prefer to eat at Rub Ribs or Thai Dara and since I have not tried the latter, off we go to Thai Dara.

LUCKY! We managed to get a parking spot right in front of Thai Dara.

The little store sandwiched beside Mad Mark’s and Poco Deli sure has this homey feel to it. The small restaurant can accommodate perhaps a max of 20 people. It reminded me of this little dumpling place in Binondo. (Oh Chinatown, how I miss thee.)

Since F was not a newbie like me, I asked him which ones were his favorites and he mentioned several spicy dishes till he mentioned the Tamarind Fish (PHP239). It sounds promising so I gave it a shot. I also ordered a glass of Mint Lemonade (PHP55) simply because it sounds refreshing. F on the other hand was trying to avoid carbs thus ordered a Thai salad and some pork satay.

It took them just a few minutes to prepare our meals (well, there was only one table occupied when we arrived) and it was a good thing since I was famished.

The tamarind fish’s breading was crunchy creating a strong contrast from the soft fish meat. It was not really sour (warning: I have very high tolerance to sour food) and it was subtly sweet and spicy. Truly delightful but rice is a must when ordering this dish.

The Mint Lemonade was really refreshing. It won’t make you think “Is this really lemonade? Why is it so… sweet?” So this drink gets two thumbs up!

I didn’t try the salad as I was too shy to get some (what’s happening to me?!?!) but I can’t stop myself from getting a stick of pork. It was calling me!

The pork sure was tender and I feel so bad not noting down the price. The sauce which tasted like grinded peanuts further enhanced the taste of the pork. Yummy!

I’ll definitely be back, Thai Dara!

Thai Dara gives a taste of Bangkok in every bite.

Tried their Pad Thai as it was tagged one of the best in the Metro. It did not disappoint! Flavors brought back to streets of Bangkok! Their steamed fish too was a good freah catch. Normally, I sip the sauce down, but didn't do it this time as the mixture was rather salty.

Will try their Tom Yum on the next visit. Need to know if their version is on the milky or sour side.

It was Friday night and I planned to go out for dinner set in Kapitolyo with some friends. We're supposed to eat in Ba Noi's but we're not aware that they're closed for rennovation. My friend immediately thought of having dinner at Thai Dara because he read that they owned the 3rd spot of the best Pad Thai in the city.

The place wasn't packed when we came in, knowing it's a Friday night. It's a small place located beside Mad Mark's and Lia's Cake in Season.

We got the Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Crispy Tofu, Basil chicken and a cup of Bagoong rice.

The spring rolls was good but nothing beats Vietnamese-style spring rolls in my opinion. It's kinda sweet and generously filled. The Crispy Tofu is my favorite! Crispy tofu cuts drenched in sweet and sour peanut sauce - it's just so awesome, man! You'd definitely learn to love tofu after having this! Basil chicken was okay, with little spicy taste. We actually have mixed opinions towards this dish. The Pad Thai, on the other hand, is simply delicious! I have tried several restaurants serving Pad Thai but this one is a winner! It was generously filled with the usual toppings too! Well-deserved, I'd say! But i wonder which restaurants have the top 2 spots? Hmmm. Their bagoong rice is also good by the way.

We enjoyed our dinner and would like to go back to try more from their menu. "Almost authentic!" - my friend commented, who's a big fan of Thai and Indonesian food!

I've been to Thai Dara about 3 or 4 times already. It's a really small place but then it is still functional and is full almost always when i go there. They serve authentic thai cuisine at very affordable prices. The flavor that I distinctly remember was their national dish, crispy fish fillet in this sweet tangy sauce! Then of course most of the food are spicy but none that would be too much. I also liked the spring rolls and basil chicken. Must try!

lunch date today was at thai dara's. place was not really packed like mad mark's.

we got the bagoong rice, green curry chicken, pad thai and mango sticky rice.

the pad thai was okay with two pieces of shrimp. the bagoong rice lacked the kick and bagoong but it was decent. i really loved the green curry. i am a green curry sucker and this dish is ok. imho the food was adjusted to the pinoy palate but that's fine. the curry was oily and not watery which i hate.

the bf loved the mango sticky rice. the coco milk was already poured on the sticky rice. yeah they have the crispy yellowy thing on top but it wasn't as generous as what we see in BKK streets. the rice was still warm! yay!

the tagline of this resto is i think the not spicy thai food. lol. i like spicy stuff but i'll give thai dara a good 4 stars.

food prices were cheap. servers were attentive.

It's the real deal. Grabe! I am literally trying not to close my eyes when I am savoring the dishes from this place 128524 (OA ko no?!) Haha! I feel I'm in bangkok.

My recommendations: Tom yum, Sassy fish, Pad thai, Pomelo salad, Pandan Chicken, Bagoong rice, Crispy Tofu, and Dynamite wings.

I went with the fambam (ugh! i hate that word-guys pls stop using it128563 lol!) and we only paid more or less 3k, we ordered 2 of each kind of the dishes I mentioned, (i'm sure meron pa, nakalimutan ko nalang) bec there's 6 of us, so do the math, - it's not expensive! Servers were very attentive - hihingiin mo palang, naisip na nila. 128522

I am biased because I love Thai Food! :) we had their Pad Thai - was okay but lacks taste. Bagoong rice - tasty but too oily. Spring roll - really really good! Their prices are reasonable and a serving can be good for 2-3 persons. Place is a bit small and can be easily filled. Service was great. 128077128076128536

Small Space, Accomodating Staffs, Fast Service.

Pad Thai was good for 2, 1 shrimp for 1 order of Pad Thai. I asked the staff to confirm and yes just 1 shrimp. lol! Top 3 Pad Thai? Not for me.
Tom Yum was good, with a little kick of spiciness.
Didn't liked the Bangkok Spring Roll tho. Taste wise.
Thai Milk Tea was cheaper than other resto and was creamy good.

First time here, first to try thai food, na curious lang sa lasa ng pad thai (addict kc kkapanood sa youtube how to make it). Well what can i say, it taste good ah 128521 but the highlight for me is the bagoong rice,na we have to order one pa to go. 128540
The place is small so we have to eat fast so that the people outside don't have to wait too long ( that's just me?128522)
Service is good naman..

We were supposed to go to Mad Mark's but as usual, there are a number of people waiting to have a seat. Weighing our options if we should go to Poco Deli or Thai Dara; but we ended up here instead.

The restaurant people were very accomodating! We immediately had seats and the waiter suggested to us their best sellers. Usually, I would go for Tom Yum in a Thai resto but decided to have Pad Thai since they claim it's included in the best pad thais in Manila.

As it turns out, it is really good! It's my first time to try the dish but it really had a nice blend of sweet, salty and savory flavor. Even their other dishes were great as well!

We ordered pork satay skewers and Thai milk tea but we really went here to finally try their famous pad Thai. We got them all for takeout to celebrate my boyfriend's arrival from HK hehe! Paired this food trip with an ep of GoT 128523

I would come back for the Pad Thai for sure but only to have it to go because the place is small, the parking is hassle, and it's a bit dirty there 128547

Pork Satay was so so. Too tough to get off of the stick but peanut sauce was really good 128522

Thai milk tea is too sweet for my liking best one I've tried here still comes from Som's 128540

All in all a good experience. Never thought I'd appreciate Thai cuisine but I did 128512

Will start reviewing the places I've visited in the past month been so busy with my internship that I am unable to review the places that I visit anymore 128532

Definitely missed |oo|oo!! 10084
