BWaiters rushed bussing out our food. Ended up throwing them away while we were planning to have it wrapped for take out.

We held my graduation dinner here. We were there around 8 in the evening and there were only few customers. The place is really cozy and and has this reserved-sophisticated ambiance to it. Their crew were very accommodating except for that one guy. We had crispy crablets, chicken satay, catfish and pomelo salad, laksa, fried rice and I forgot the rest. Given the ambiance and the service, I wasn't surprised when we received our bill. Although the food is really nothing out of the ordinary.
Great place for business meetings, special occasions, and for those seeking intimate moments.

Thaipan would've gotten 5 stars if not for their bland Tom Yum & mocktails falsely advertised as cocktails.

The Pad Thai was excellent. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a very well-done, authentic dish with just the right amount of flavor, a good balance of all the ingredients, and noodles cooked to a perfect consistency. Sometimes you don't need frills or twists on your dishes, but instead simply crave trustworthy classics. That's what this Pad Thai was to me. 1108811088110881108811088

The Tom Yum was, as I mentioned, bland. The single serving was smaller than your average single serving of soup, and the soup itself was either under-seasoned or too watered down. However it was densely packed with seafood, so they obviously aren't keep on skimping. 1108811088

The crispy catfish salad was quite good. Again, nothing special, but faithful to the taste of authentic Thai crispy catfish salads. I went all over Bangkok in desperate attempts to be a Pad Thai/crispy catfish salad connoisseur 128539, and I believe this one makes the cut. 1108811088110881108811088

I didn't like the green curry so much. But that's just because I really am not fond of green curry to begin with, so if we have to be objective about it, I suppose it isn't so bad. In fact, it's perfectly done, and may be the best I've had. 128521 It's rich in vegetables, and has a fair amount of meat as well. My only complaint would be the excess oil, but if you put it over rice, it shouldn't be too bad. 1108811088110881108811088

The piña coladas and mojitos were both flavorless and alcohol-less. I literally could not taste any alcohol in either drink. We sent the drinks back several times to no avail. If there's anything they skimp on at Thaipan, it's the alcohol. Anyway, the bartender finally came to our table with the bottles of alcohol and poured until we said stop. Thus everything turned out well in the alcohol department. The blandness however... 11088

The place looks nice and dainty. I love their interiors and how they were able to keep the original structure and tinker with a few details to enhance the look and overall feel of the restaurant.

Food was ok. Not as amazing as the reviews though. Nothing fancy. Just normal thai food. Nothing special. Something's lacking with their tom yum soup. Oddly enough, I find Shomal's version better than Thaipan's.

Food is quite expensive, imho.

Parking is limited to street parking.

Overall, I think it was just an okay. I heard a lot of good reviews about this place. I was really disappointed. 128531

Well, the resto's interior was really nice, good ambiance for romantic dates. The food was presented well though arrived quite late. They tasted so-so. I somehow liked their Chicken Curry in green curry sauce. It was spicy in every bite and made me sweat (as always). 128540128540 However, the serving was really small! 128543 We also got their shrimps wrapped in egg noodles, something that was like shanghai lumpia, pork cooked in cinammon sauce, and pad thai. i usually remember the exact names of the food i eat. so sad i dint remember the ones I ate here. must be that not so nice experience. It took us around 1800php for just two people!!!! 128531128531 really expensive and not sulit for me. Would rather go somewhere cheaper like Soi next time.

One of the many hidden places in the scout area, a sister-company of Romulo's Cafe, great Thai food to try 128077128077

I am not a curry fan, I can have some but not a favorite. However, I love their green curry - so good! 128536 The pomelo salad was also good. And if you are a durian lover, my friends recommend their durian ice cream 128076

The price is right for the good food served 128076

Seeing the interiors, something tells me that Thaipan is not your ordinary Thai Restaurant.
We opted for their air conditioned dining area and were led up a small flight of stairs to our table. We immediately saw the semblance of a converted old house with many of its features they kept and just added little design touches to compliment.

Tom Khat Khai
Thai-pan’s soups are per person servings only. The soup was packed with flavor in every sip we had, creamy soup with strong flavor, just as it should be.

Yellow Chicken Curry
Look out for the chicken since it is as tender as eggplants, soft and almost dissolves in the mouth!

Chicken Satay
Strips of chicken marinated in a special Thai paste. It is then served with homemade peanut sauce for the ultimate taste sensation.

Thai Iced Tea
strong and milky. We love Thai Iced tea as this drink saved our taste buds countless times during our trips to Thailand. We loved it so much, we bought some instant stuff from the supermarket to bring home. This one definitely did not taste instant.

Overall Thai-pan’s food was wonderful but the servings were quite small for the prices. Flavors felt authentic, and they did not scrimp on ingredients . The ambiance was cozy and relaxing while service was quite good. The only thing holding me back from visiting more often is probably the price more than its location, which is a little ways away from us.

Though a bit pricey, one's Thai cravings are definitely satisfied after dining in this hidden treasure along the Scout area. Their version of pad thai is indeed appealing visually and gastronomically, and partner it with their Thai Milk Tea to complete the experience.

Ambiance lured us to the place. Actually from outside place looks big and spacious so when I entered i was a bit shocked that it doesn't offer much tables. Place was all glass, it was a bit disorienting. We had my cousin's birthday celebration here and the service was good actually. Kuya was in the beck and call of everybody. Hahaha and then there's the food!!! Most were on the spicy side but it was just enough that it allows people to continue eating without having to drink every other bite. I really liked the pad thai. There was something about the thai milk tea, i think it was kind of thick. It was ok I guess but it kinda feel weird drinking

Place was cool over all. Wasn't able to check the prices tho. Its the factor that can make or break this place. I mean, if I want to go back that is. 128076128077127874

Well well well... At isa pang well... Ok fine whateburr.

Joke haha! Excuse me, status symbol na bawang ngayon. Parang braces lang. Tsaka siguro mahal ang spices nila. Baka imported pa from Bengkek or pwedeng Divi lang.

Same owner ba? Same chef? Same waiters? Same parking attendant?

Yes may ganung factor.

So pila-pila rin. Naalala ko tuloy bigla ang MRT.

Babalik ba ako since masarap ang food? Kung marami akong kasama or merong manlilibre.

We brought family and friends to have lunch and celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here.

The place is nice and service was good.

For food, we had the
- Khong Waang Thai (good)
- Choo Chee Kung and Roti (I've had better roti)
- Tom Yum Kung (hot!)
- Tam Mamuang (like)
- Phat Phrik King Moo (ok)
- Pla Meuk Goong Nam Prik Phao
- Pla Lad Prik Sam Ros (like a lot)
- Khao Khluk Kapi (also like this a lot)

We chose venue based on Looloo reviews! Thanks
