One of the most visited restos inside the Z Compound (as I often see), The Backyard Reservoir mostly serve Italian and American cuisines altogether.

For last night's dinner, we ordered Lasagna (a bestseller), La Onioni, Pesto and their Tuna Melt.

The pastas initially looked small in their plates but once you dig in it, they have big servings. The Lasagna tasted a bit sweet, rather than salty. I liked the taste of butter with it, giving it a different kind of flavor from the usual Lasagnas.

The La Onioni smelled a bit weird, probably because of the cheese. Good thing the ham in it tasted nice with the right creaminess and milkiness of the pasta.

The Pesto was just fine, there was a bit of lack of sauce in it.

All pastas could have tasted even better if they were served hot. Sadly, they weren't.

The Tuna Melt was a good buy. It was huge, yummy, and tasted healthy as it was prepared upon ordering it.

I might go back to try their pizzas but it may take a while though.

Backyard reservoir is located at Malingap St. Quezon City. Me and my "werkmates" ordered their Backyard Pizza with ground beef, bacon, tomatoes, olives, jalapeno, onions and scrambled eggs and the blend of ingredients was really perfect. 127829 #Yummers #loolooexplorergiveaway #loolooapp

Thank heavens that they have Pizza in their menu. Their Pizza tastes way better than their Lasagna.

The only thing I can say is to their Lasagna is, "There should be a refund on calories for things that didn't taste as good as you expected." 128534128078🏻

Me and my friends decided to eat along Maginhawa yesterday, twas supposed to be at strEAT but parking was full. 128532
So we just went to Malingap's Z Compound instead. We found a distant parking lot and just walked.
Z compound is a strip of food stalls where you can sit anywhere and just order anywhere you want. The Backyard Reservoir serves pizza and pasta while others have their own kind of food to serve, like the other stall serves nachos, the other ice cream, cocktails, bagnet, japanese food, mexican, etc.
On my pic was La onioni, a white spaghetti. I didn't get to taste some onions tho so I don't really know if they just called it La onioni for what reason.
We also bought The Backyard pizza which is their best seller, and T Bac pizza (they have such a weird names 128514). When you buy two pizza, you'll have a free pitcher of iced tea and we also bought two fishbowl iced tea for just 80php each. It was an iced tea party for the 4 of us. 128514

I tried their Pesto Tuyo and was kinda disappointed because I could not taste the tuyo at all. It was plain old pesto pasta. I did see teeny tiny tuyo flakes in there, but I wish they'd add more of those. Not considering the missing tuyo flavor, though, the pesto was okay.

Backyard pizza, pesto tuyo and marinara.
Pizza was good. The pastas are fine, not the best, but price (P130-150) is affordable so still good. Their pizza is a must try! 128077

Yey! Finally I had to eat at Maginhawa. 128513 To start off our food trip. We went to Z compound. This is sort of a food joint in a compound. We tried The Backyard, thinking that we'll just eat in small portion because we'll be roaming around later on. We were only four then because some of our friends were still on the way. We only had Bagneto pizza for 200+. It was served a bit late but we didn't realized since we were busy catching up. 128513 The pizza was thin and a little oily. The bagnet pieces were a bit chewy. 128542 It's in pesto sauce. Well a little so-so to start off. 128513

Me & my friends went to Z compound for food tripping & we definitely enjoyed it! We tried almost all the food stalls & all of them has their own specialties. I specifically love the food at The Backyard! Hehe we tried their mozzarella stix & el pago pizza & they are definitely worth it! Honestly their mozzarella stix are well, your typical coated/breaded mozzarella but what makes it special & delicious is their dip! I love it! hehe it kinda reminds me of the chimicuri sauce/dip at señor pollo. Their El Pago pizza (with homemade sausage as the toppings) is good too it is really flavorful & has a unique taste. Definitely going back to taste the other flavors of their pizza :)

Went here for a merienda since i haven't eaten lunch. T'was my first time to visit the compound and wanted to try the backyard. I ordered pesto tuyo. I find the pasta perfectly cooked but not so perfectly seasoned 128532 the ambiance was nice. I wish they can improve their seasoning. But i would like to come back.

We ordered 3 cheese pesto. We really thought it was a pesto pasta but it was actually a thin crust pizza haha! They should've put label or something. It tasted okay though for 190 pesos.

We've always went here just to pick up a can of Barq's or Dr. Pepper Cherry which they sell for a fair price at P45. Most dining place would charge P50 and up for it. We also went for their curly fries and mozzarella sticks, which were also nice. I wish the mozz sticks would be warmer though, I'm not exactly sure why it wasn't piping hot when served. But it was ok for the price.

Tried their 3-cheese pesto pasta and for less than 200, it was pretty good. We hope they would improve a tad on the crust, but it was ok. Would go back for a quick fix. For the same price, there's Friuli's, which I like for simple Italian-style pizza.

Our once quiet hole in the wall place is not so quiet anymore. I am glad for their success, though I miss the ambience of our quiet al fresco dinners here last summer.

The place reminds me of "tides bistro&bar" woody furniture, no aircon and with a lot of customers128522 selfservice.. Affordable prices. Their pizza is not that big ahh.. Hmm it depends with hunger levels.. Hihi it is just a plate size. Pasta like pesto and carbonara.. Nothing special.

I love this new find! :)

We tried their Ham and Cheese sandwich and curly fries. The sandwich was so big and I love the flavor of the ham. The curly fries were just ok.

Will definitely try their pasta and other offerings. We were stuffed from the other food finds we had.

Reasonably priced too! :)

I love The Z compound!!! Lots of options lots of good food! Good ambiance too. We tried the bagnet pizza and barbeque bacon pizza of Backyard Reservoir and it was delicious! Must try! It's only 220 pesos for one pizza! I also love the pad thai in Me Love You Long Time! We also had the Beer candied-bacon which tasted like Christmas ham from Bochic! We had the fish and chips and calamares from Stoners. Lots of choices really! The best place for Food Tripping! Lol!
