It's been so long since my cousin & I saw each other so we decided to meet up & have some chill drinks in The Barn.

Everytime I go to UP Town, I get to see The Barn & I got curious with what they offer. The Barn is a gastropub & under The Tipsy Pig management. During our hang out, these were the ff items we ordered:

* The Barn's Chili Dirty Fries (325php) - this consists of crispy fries, chili con carne, mild cheddar, mozzarella, pickled jalapeño and sour cream. I found this appetizer just right. I appreciated the cheesiness but it lacked some ingredients while I was eating it. I felt like they did not put that much chili con carne.

* for drinks, we ordered two pitchers of classic cocktails. These were Amaretto Sour (650php) & Weng Weng (750php). We both preferred the Amaretto Sour than the Weng Weng. We noticed though that their cocktails doesn't have that much alcohol content. I felt like I was drinking juice.

I am definitely going back to try their other food. Can't wait for that 2nd experience! :)

Hubby's Surprise Pre-38th Beerday 127867 celebration last Saturday afternoon at The Barn by Tipsy Pig128055 located at GF Phase 2 of UP Town Center.

Hubby and I dropped our daughter in school and we need to wait for her for 4 hours so we decided to spend time at UP Town Center. We shop and stroll but we still have a long time so I grabbed that opportunity to spend time with him. It's his bday week so I surprised him and brought him to The Barn by Tipsy Pig. Finally will able to try this place coz I was curious.

Arrived there late afternoon and that's the best time because there's not much people during that time coz it's always full by night time.

We choose the seat near the tv with big screen. We had the chips and fries with 3 dips, their famous sisig tacos was so good! And for drinks I had mango shake and the bday boy had the corona.

I love making bday surprises for my loved ones and they are aware of it lol. I told the waiter if they have cake for a bday celebrant and he suggested that he will just give a bday shot instead .

Hubby was suppose to go to comfort room when suddenly the lights get dimmed and happy bday song was played lol! Two waters came to our table, one holding the sparking candle and the other one holds the Little mug for his shot and boom ! 🍾 happy bday my love!

His really surprised and happy . Thanks to the staff for helping me surprising my hubby.

So happy to received out bill is just around 1k. Definitely will be back here! So loved the place , the food, service .

Can't wait to try their other delicious appetizers and drinks .

They also have wifi by the way.

My cousin and I had lunch here the other day since she wanted to try the Crispy Kare-Kare that's part of the lunch set menu.

It reminded me a lot of lechon smothered in peanut sauce lol. She liked it. I was able to get a taste and I found peanut butter in the sauce too strong. But I appreciate the hint of spice in the background. The Crispy Kare-Kare was served with rice, soup, and drink (iced tea) as part of the set meal.

I opted for Shrimp Rigatoni and I was surprised when I saw how big the serving was. The pasta was cooked just right. The sauce was creamy and the slices of tomatoes mixed in the sauce cut through the richness. The shrimp pieces were thankfully not small, although I wish there was more of if.

The barn by tipsy pig serves scrumptious food and perfect beer matches all day everyday. Located on the ground floor of the new Up Town Center wing, this place is perfect for couples, gamilies, and friends.

We had a few things on the menu but my favourites are the pork belly bao, skillet fries, and #4 cheese pizza. The pork belly baos were flavourful and filling on its own. The pork on the inside was tender and sweet, while the pork crackling provided great texture to the dish. The skillet fries was spicy, cheesy, and gooey; and the pizza was super thin and cheesy.

Overall, really enjoyed the food and the place. If theres one thing to improve on, it would be the service. The place was quite busy and yet a few of the servers were outside chatting. You had to ask for your water to be refilled too - but at least everything, including the bill was served quickly.

This is my second time with The Barn by Tipsy Pig at U.P. Town Center. I went here for late lunch/merienda after my appointment with the said mall.

I've tried the The Barn Burger and the staff recommendation called Sebastian's Spinach. For refreshment, she also advised to try the Homemade Iced Tea.

Visiting UP Town Center the day before Christmas Eve was like a suicide mission. You know it will be traffic, you know parking will be bad, you know lines will be long; but you do it anyway. Well, I did it to meet a balikbayan friend and our HS barkada for Christmas... And I had a great suggestion: The Barn by Tipsy Pig!128077🏻

We intentionally met up late in the afternoon and armed with reservations for 6 people. Good thing because it got packed, fast.

We started with the skillet cheese fries and ended up getting two orders. We were sp hungry! This definitely should make it to your table-- if you like things cheesy and you like fries. It had a lot of beef, chilis and onions so it was good, good, good!

When we got our bearings, we liked the IG and FB pages of The Barn for our free strawberry margaritas and sisig tacos! I wouldn't recommend the margaritas, unless the classic one is better. It might also be due to the fact that these are free, but they were very diluted and I could barely taste the alcohol. The sisig tacos, on the other hand, is something that I would order again and would recommend. The sisig is mixed with mayo on a piece of tortilla. Chicharon sits on top just to make it ever more sinful. Great appetizer! We all got one each and we were scared to eat more than that...

The Dirty Mexicana was another thing we ordered and it was gooooood! The platter can be shared by 6-8 people, depending on how many other dishes you order. This had a lot of toppings; alam mong hindi tinipid! Lovett! Actually, the chips were good, even on its own.

We also ordered crispy pata, which was sulit due to the huge serving. I liked the #4 pizza and the pasta (the name escapes me, but it is pictured) we ordered. Simot! I have to recommend everything we ate; everything was really good! We also had their salted caramel beer, which was okay. I have said it before, I prefer Rue Bourbon's flavored beers.

Service was awesome! The servers were engaging and fun, always ready with a quip. Only thing was the place was really small; the tables were so close together that you bump into your neighbors if you want to get out of the booth. Plus the restroom was wet, smelly, and really dirty; remember we were there very early and we transferred to another resto at around 830pm. I don't think the restroom should be in that state at 5pm...

Other than the weak (but free!) cocktails, tight space, and dirty bathroom, we all really enjoyed the night! 128515128515128515

‪In celebration of my birthday, I made a reservation at The Barn by Tipsy Pig. It's a spin-off restaurant of Tipsy Pig, a well known resto bar in Capitol Commons. They also have branch in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. ‬

‪As I scanned the menu of The Barn by Tipsy Pig familiar dishes of Tipsy Pig were also in the menu. Almost with the same name and prices.‬

‪The interior set-up of the The Barn by Tipsy Pig is almost the same with Tipsy Pig Capitol Commons but compare to the branch it's smaller. ‬

‪Before we order the generous staff informed us that they have existing promo in their social media page. All we have to do is to like and follow The Barn by Tipsy Pig's Facebook and Instagram Page and they will served us Free Margarita and Sisig Tacos and all 16 of us did the procedures and gladly we had 16 glasses Margaritas (Strawberry & Lime) and 16 pieces Belly Good Sisig Tacos. Aside from that the staff also informed me that their San Mig Light and Pale Pilsen Beers (Php80.00 per bottle) are Buy One Take One on Sunday, All Day All Night, so I took the chance of availing the promo.‬

‪We had Crispy Pata, Chicken, their famous Nachos and Pizza, and paired with Whiskey (JD for Php3,000.00 per bottle) and Beers.‬
