Went here for some drinks with the boss last Friday (overtime) night. It's my second time here, few weeks ago being the first. I had Paularen on the first visit with fellow loolooers while I got Stella Artois on the second visit. I like them both but I like Paularen more.

My boss also got us the Wanton Nachos and it's a grower! I didn't like it on the first try, but I got to like it after a few more of it. A unique take on the nachos with a bit spicier flavor!

The place was packed and seemed to play louder music on the second visit. Well, it's Friday so I guess that's why.

I reAlly think the name is inspired by beauty and the beast. Lol. This place is a drink place. I got an amaretto sour for php300 and i think i like it. Was not able to try the food because we were full from the QC rendevooz. Grabe. Umabot ng makati. #kaladkarin Marc David M Russel F Marco Jose L Elaine O Dennis O ... We had a good wholesome time. This is a good place to have either some fun chat. There was not much customers until 12am. People are still coming cause it's open until 3Am.

Ambiance is great for me, music is not loud. Not heavy lights. And the air conditioning is great.

Go to the CR and look for the wardrobe that leads to a speakeasy bar. All doors (CR) were so heavy.

Great spot near the office to unwind over a few 'bats' (bottles) or pints. The ambience and crowd is very 'cosmopolitan' and the beer selection is great. They've got a good number of imported beers on tap and the servers do know what to recommend if you're unfamiliar and looking for a certain taste.

The pulutan, or rather, the plated orders are also really good! The sausage platter and pork schnitzels are winners both in taste and quantity... and those goes really well with beer too. Umami fries lacked the 'umami' taste though for me, but they more than made up for it with their mac n cheese pie topped with bacon! 128525128525128525

Me and my friends was looking for a place to chill and watch the Game 7 of the PBA finals last Wednesday. Through some research we eventually went to Belle & Dragon. Quite a relatively new pub along Palanca street. The Palanca St. is now starting to be packed with great bar from the balcony, plantation and now Belle & Dragon.

The place is on the 2nd floor of Family Mart. It has a spacious and cool ambience in the inside. Wide HD TV great for watching sports event. Nice pick for our Game 7 viewing. Also a good thing was that the place was not that crowded. Service was very good. We have just eaten so we just went for some beer. They have some local craft beer like Pedro and imported draft beer like Paulaner and Hoegarden. I went for something new for me, the Magners Cider. Tasted a light refreshing and bubbly. I went for the pint sized which was only 280Php. It was light so I went for another round. Price of their foods were quite expensive ranging from 300-400 and up. Lucky we already have our dinner before going to this place.

Overall great hangout place but quite expensive if you'll dine. Great service too. :)

Been meaning to try this place for quite a while. I resigned that I wasn't going to be able to try it last year but got surprised when my friend asked to drink here last night. It was also almost going to be a bust because we had a lot to do and talk about before heading there.

The place is on the second floor. You can't miss it because the stairs lead up to a nice balcony. The ambience is interesting. The lighting gives that "musty" feeling of a bar but it smells good and feels great inside. The music is also not very loud so conversations can be done without screaming.
There is a speakeasy, too. That one has a dress code.

Service was great. Our server was very attentive and helpful. I forgot to get his name though because my friend did most of the talking. We wanted drinks so it was easy for us to decide that. A mojito for my friend Hannah, an amaretto sour for me and calamansi juice for Helene. What?! We found out her throat was getting itchy. OK.

The menu was interesting, but i sorta forgot what was on it except for our orders. As usual i looked at the appetizers to share. The garlic umami fries P180? looked good and i got the consensus of the group. After all, you can't go wrong fries and bonito flakes.
Hannah's words were, this order is endless. Yeaup and Yeaum! It looked small but took us a while to finish.

Food was served pretty quick, we either did not notice the time because of the chika and too much munching on the fries or their kitchen was fast and there wasn't a lot of people. We had orders of:

Bangers and mash - Hannah's order was huge and the sausages were tasty. She found them a bit salty but meshed well with the potatoes. I tried a small
piece and it does get salty a bit in the end but still tasty.

Salmon banhmi P375 - not on the menu (yet) but is a new creation and they've been hearing good feedback. What it is is a meaty salmon sandwich vietnamese style. I shared 1/3 of the sandwich with Helene since she likes salmon. The sandwich comes with a generous serving of chips and spicy aioli. The aioli does wonders for the chips, i preferred something sweeter for the sandwich. The bread tasted like a normal bun instead of those freshly baked and flaky vietnamese baguettes. The salmon was meaty and filling but the flavor wasn't memorable to me.

Fish and chips - recommended by our server and ordered by Helene. This is a giant slab of crisp fried fish lain on a stack of fries. On the side were peas, garlic mayo for the fries and some vinegar for the fish. This was the dish we liked the least. Without he sauces, there's not much flavor in the food. It could also be our weak taste. The peas were cooked crispy enough and also tasty.

I don't remember the prices of the rest but our bill amounted to around P1,800. I would go back there for the drinks! Even for P300 a cocktail, i know it's goood. The appetizers are also interesting. Maybe their bar chow is a best-seller. They also offer desserts but it wasn't listed and didn't really want what they had last night. The cheesecake was enticing though. Took a glance at their menu board and they offer breakfast on weekends. The interesting one is the chicken and waffles was it?

Funny, the photo was taken on my friend's phone because i ran out of space. 128514

I went for lunch with a good friend, despite not so good feedback from some of my other friends. A restaurant that looks and sounds this good sets up expectations for a fabulous dining experience. However, the food does not do the place justice. I should have listened.

The fries that everyone orders? Sounds good on paper, in reality, it doesn't taste like anything. I felt like I was eating starch. They give you a lot but we couldn't finish it.

The vietnamese beef salad supposedly with USDA beef had tiny pieces of beef textured more like batangas beef. they didn't season the beef before they threw it in the salad so it didn't taste like anything. The salad itself was okay, i guess.

The chicken karaage bao was the best thing we ordered. Tasty chicken sandwiched in a deadly mantou bun. While it was by no means great, It was a shining star amidst the two other sad orders.

Service was terrific. Prices are expensive. Come here for drinks, eat elsewhere.

Pretty full for a Saturday night that is. Even my friend who frequent the place also noticed that the place is quite pack for a Saturday which is unusual. This place is becoming an IT place already. And the crowd is becoming younger week by week.

Had my usual Paulaner but got myself a big one this time since I am really thirsty for beer for such a stressful week. Ordered their fries and it is delicious! One of those thick and juicy outer and like mashed potato in the inside. Like that of a camote Q 128513.

I heard that the speakeasy at this place is serving the best adobo nuts and I'm dying to try it. Too bad I keep on forgetting to dress properly to be admitted as I always wear my dress down shorts and snicks during weekends. Will keep in mind next time. 128513128513

Fyi. The band that I am talking about with my first review is probably not a regular thing since they are not there during this visit. 128540128517128514

The ambiance of this place is quite intriguing. Classy yet affordable, intimidating yet inviting. Went here after Nikkei just to relax and unwind after a busy week. Small glass of draft will cost you 220 and a big one will cost you 330. The place is quiet from 830 to 930 I think, that is before the celebrities ruled the place.

Anne, Solenn, Erwan and more more foreign objects started singing because their friend (assuming) is celebrating his bday there. The band started playing and the place suddenly is full of affams. Quite a good place to hangout when you just want to look around and appreciate good looking people 128513 girl or boy.

If only I'm working in Makati I'd probably dine here every night. Sad to say, I don't. But I'd probably come back here on weekends from time to time. 128522128522128513128525

Booze and grub place with swanky interiors. See a long bar when you need to be alone now and just need to unwind and relax.

Grab some of their noteworthy dishes too. The beef schnitzel was very good like the Mac and Cheese pie.

I love Belle and Dragon cos it can be anything you want it to be - it can be casual, it can be classy, you can have beer, grab a small bite, binge eat, have coffee, have a cocktail, go alone, go with a friend, go with many friends, or do it all.

What you see in the photo is Thunder Thighs, a basket of buffalo thigh part chicken - their version of every bar's buffalo wings. At the back are baked masala macaroni and umami chips.

Belle and Dragon's menu boasts of interesting stuff that feels like a fusion of many cuisine - american, asian, indian. Quite interesting.

And we haven't even talked about the smokin' beer taps at greet you as you enter. They serve imported beers and a couple of local craft ones too. I think I found my new Draft.

Don't get me talking about the coffee. I love their coffee.

Lastly. If you're up for an adventure go through the wardrobe.

Yup. All of these tucked in a street in Legazpi ville. Nothing to not like here.

Currently on soft opening state. Awesome addition to the establishments in Legaspi Village. Very good ambiance due to floor to ceiling glass windows and vertical garden (is that what they call it these days?!). The seats are comfortable and tables are appropriately spaced from each other to have that not cramped feeling even if the establishment was packed - probably also because it was Friday night.

As for the food, nachos and dried beef stew on mashed potato tasted really good. Draft beers are available in 330ml/500ml serving - although they ran out around 10:30, but was able to restock an hour after.

I suggest you guys check it out, because service here is good too! And try while everything is 40% off for the time being. Yep, everything. ;)
